- Here's a 5-minute video of our hot air balloon ride in Napa on July 22, 2013. We met up with the group at the Domaine Chandon winery before sunrise, and took a shuttle to a golf course for the launch. Our balloon was the guinea pig testing the winds. We quickly rose to 1,100 feet, and peaked at 2,500 feet. After circling around to find a landing spot, we dropped rope, got help from the pilot's crew, and touched down on a dirt path between 2 vineyards. Since we were not near an open field, I helped them walk the hovering balloon down the road so it could be deflated. The GoPro with extension arm was priceless for capturing this experience! And Mom checked one off her bucket list :)
Great video, it’s always a good time for adventure, travel and new experience but sadly good adventures don’t come cheap.
As a kid I have always loved traveling and adventures, but when I got older and realized it required a lot of money I got sad and discouraged.
I totally agree with you, most times in other to make money you might require external assistance, in my case my external help came in the form of a mentor mr. Alberto Javier.
This guy really sounds amazing, to tell you the truth I have been in search of a good investment broker for quite some time now, I hope this guy is reliable and I can make some money with his help?

For all who are scared. I get it. I went up in 2000. I had a near panic attack then once we were off the ground .... wow. The most peaceful and beautiful experience. Soooooooooooo smoooooooth. I’m so glad I did it!! It was perfection. 🌳🌈☀️🌳🌈☀️
I'm scared of heights, too, but back in 1980 when I was 19 I went up in a balloon with my boyfriend. Once I was up I lost all my fear and just enjoyed it. I still remember it as one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. Incredible. It's so quiet up there, yet you can hear everything clearly on the ground. I remember hearing a dog barking, things like that.
How is the ride down? Does it drop fast or give you the feeling of dropping? Like rollercoasters sort of? I want to get on one but that’s my fear

I lived in Cincinnati when this mother and her daughter went down and one that was on fire. That's why I don't like them.
When I was 19, I went up in a hot air balloon with my boyfriend. I was scared, because I am actually afraid of heights, but it stands out as one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. I still remember it well, and it was over 40 years ago.

Similar to jet; if it’s fallen that’s it mate. The reason; it’s unpractical to teach all riders how to use it; then in actual emergency there is no time to jump out
Karnak, it IS a giant parachute. So many people have very little knowledge and tend to believe false things that are heard. Very safe and has to pass an annual inspection. :)

Ears were fine. I don't think you go that high, or maybe it's slow enough that you don't notice it. The ride really was gentle, you hardly notice the movement. But kinda freaky when you look straight over the edge of the basket :) Regarding the extension pole, if you search for "GoPro extension pole" on Amazon, you'll see lots of options. Definitely worth the investment.
Why you ruin it with music? One of the delightful things about balloon flight is always the silence of it.

It looks beautiful and peaceful but I, like a lot of others have fear of heights and claustrophobia. I’d be content w a slow calm ride on a canoe in a pond listening to the birds :)

How are they famous - and what was that awful noise - if that is what it takes to be famous count me out - I'd rather walk in the fields picking agates and other rocks - star gazing - growing a flower garden - bird watching - listening to rain on the window pane - and so much more. Fame is not all that it appears - with it comes many a problem.
That’s my biggest fear. If that air balloon were to go for ever nonstop I would be panicking just to see me leaving earth

I've always wanted to ride one! how much did something like this cost? I'm going to be a vendor at a glow balloon festival next weekend and they have "tethered" hot air balloon rides for $20 per person, but If I ever go on one I want it to be like this! 😃

I like the way they look. When I was very young, we lived very close to ball park that had special events a lot. There was supposed had a hot air balloon land at the ball park but it nearly landed on our street. There was also a person with a parachute that was stupider to land there, instead, he landed on the road behind our house. Everyone was blowing their horns. No one was injured, but ai enjoyed those days

We go to Napa every year (except this one!) but we never take the balloon ride. Why? Because you have to get up way too early. We're still sleeping off last night's meal and wine to set a 5:30AM alarm clock! :-)

Beautiful. Woulda been better with a regular camera lens instead of fisheye lens. So now earth is sometimes convex, and sometimes concave. Depending on position of camera or angle. Plus we need zoom next time please.

Thank you Jim that was great, I did feel like if I was there amazing that I even cried of emotion, there are many things in life that we aren't able to experience for the lack of money but we are able to live by viewing we are able to feel a close experience, I'm 42 and I haven't be able to do much in life for not having money, I see how my youth has gone like water in between my fingers without enjoying life doing many things I wish I could and I still desired doing, I don't want to leave earth without knowing every corner if it, again thank you so much for sharing your video!Hasta la vista mi amigo?
