  • In this taekwondo training we can see an active warm-up and some simple reaction time exercises.www.sobretaekwo...
Reaction time is the interval time between the presentation of a stimulus and the initiation of the muscular response to that stimulus. A primary factor affecting a response is the number of possible stimuli, each requiring their own response, that are presented.
If there is only one possible response (simple reaction time) it will only take a short time to react. If there are several possible responses (choice reaction time) then it will take longer to determine which response to carry out. www.sobretaekwo...

That's 16 plus minutes of my time that I will never get back. Muy Thai is the complete martial arts training. And the kicks are simple roundhouse, and front kick (steep kick), but freaking deadly. Bruce Lee once said don't be not afraid of a man that practices 1000 kicks one time, but be afraid of man that practices one kick 1000 times. That's what Muy Thai is. It consist of two kicks practiced 1000 plus times. That about sums it all up.

Bruce Lee also executed these kicks you see above with lightning speed and power, refining these kicks with his friend Jhoon Rhee aka "The Father of American Taekwondo " .
There's more than one way to look at this. Recall that there are many MT and Kickboxing champions who've incorporated TKD kicks into their arsenal. For decades. Stretching from guys like Manson "Master Blaster" Gibson, Cyrus Washington and Hassan Kassrioui to legendary MMA GOATS like Anderson Silva to right now today MMA champs with MT and TKD backgrounds like Israel Adesanya. I suggest...and it's just a suggestion...that we all try to be more open minded and comprehensive in our analysis, and be less quick to offer unmitigated unconstructive criticism.

Lost in space. If people want to learn the real teaching of Taekwondo, then go to South Korea. If people want to learn Muy Thai, then go to Thailand. That's where the discipline is taught rather than the bottom line.

@Eugene Lee The point is that WTF taekwondo has changed for the worse. I really wish they bring back the old rules.

If you combine this with some basic striking systems like boxing where you actually are all about balance, speed and timing will be effective.
