I was on a server everyone was round level 20 and I was the only high level at 1065. It was strange seeing everyone at around the same level. The Fallout series may have helped bring new players
Ngl I started playing because the show and am addicted now first high level guy I say I offered to trade some POS pipe gun and he just dropped me some sick stalker smg thing I can’t even use yet needless to say it’s on my wall til I hit level 50 😂 like 34 now
I got F76 at launch and played it alittle as I'm a pretty big fan of the single player Fallout games. Started back playing yesterday on 76 and am hooked. Trying my best to learn everything and have the best start etc. Currently level 16. Already met alot of great ppl since last night. This game is something else. When ppl say 76 has the best community I actually believe that now.
One of my 5 camps is a traveling merchant I set up near special events and current high traffic areas it's got all the works too stat booster stuff and a few free resources from any collection items...it's also a traveling trap camp if need be lol.
Another good location is anywhere somewhat central on the map because if you have your camp on the edge of the map chances are people wont even see it. Also I used to have my camp near foundation and I can confirm it is a populated area.
I have mine on xbox just below Foundation, called "Aspirant's Shop and Med-bay" if I remember the name, just got back to Fallout 76, got a doctor (not sure if random people can use him), also got water, medical stuff, plans, weapons and more. I do sell for caps, but I don't try to be greedy for it like some others, if it finds use for others when it doesn't entirely for me I am glad to sell for low or fair prices. Every now and then people come by and collect a bunch of supplies and it makes me happy when they do. Might make a cafe/nuka cola shop at some point.
The only problem with placing your camp in popular spots is that there is a good chance that someone else will already be there when you log in, causing you to have to server hop until find one where no one else is there.

You don't have to run power to your vending machines for them to function(I'm on xbox), they just lose their animation process. On my map, it shows that my camp is visible and has the two icons indicating that I have a vendor and a shelter...but since it is my camp, it shows that for me and the number of items I have in my vendor. I question if a camp that has vendors down but no power may not indicate what item classes you have(weap, armor, plans, etc) when you put your cursor on another player's camp that may not have power to them. I see some camps may show that they have a vendor but it doesn't say their vendors have anything, so maybe if they aren't powered it won't give you a preview?
Can get additional Camp Slots from the Atomic Shop so can set Camps up at various positions opposed to moving Camps and rebuilding them each time and so strategically have some Camps for farming Resources others for max Caps
You don't need power connected to your vending machines to show on the map, just an FYI. Power to vending machines is completely unnecessary and unneeded.
My Foundation Camp is actually closer to Foundation that it looks like my camp is a part of Foundation, I even get the Foundation theme music sometimes playing in my camp lol
It's not about location, it's about what's in your vendor. The quality of items and your prices are what matters. My vendors only carry grolls and high end items. I go from 0 to 40k caps in seconds of having my vendor on.
theres a place near vault 76 where you can get copper and iron deposits, my friend placed his camp there although hes low on materials that could be profitable
The camp I’m currently using is located in the top left of the map and I make a killing. I have trouble finding stuff to buy cause I have most of the stuff. I have to give my wife 10 to 20k caps a week and put my store in storage so I don’t loose caps due to having max caps. I then encourage her to go and buy up all the plans she doesn’t know even if they are over priced just so I can give her more and reactivate my store ✌🏼

Don't camp by whitespring north I just lost 3 bases and can't build anymore power armor things says I have 5 built but I have none. Right now everyone's camping there and you'll loose ability to build anymore
I have too many caps 😭 I convert them all into ammo and occasionally buy plans but players rarely sell ammo in the quantity I need to unload 30k caps. I'm probably gonna start just giving away stuff at this point
@@poison5343 I'm genetically half dragon or something because I hoard everything, and sell junk for dirt cheap. And I usually harvest eviction notice for legendaries and sell them off as basically just scrip for caps. My current pricing is 300caps for 3 star armour 450caps for 3 star guns and 550caps for 3 star PA pieces I make roughly 5k caps every hour or so

Agreed. I put meta and non meta g rolls in my vendors. I make bank fast because high tier items bring high tier players. I turn my camp on and Max caps instantly.
Oddly enough, i had a camp just a bit south of The Purveyor, visitors were extremely rare. And i always had full stock with a massive vareity of items.
probably because people are just going to the purveyor to unload weight not looking to add more, their mindset is to offload not take on more when they're going there.

Thats not a bad mindset to look st it actually. My new camp now is east of the Purveyor a fair distance away, and I get even more visitors then ever before

I disagree on nuking cranberry bog, I drop it on the bunker specifically so I can farm high radiation fluid if u fight scortchbeast queen most of the critters will not b scorched and loaded w high radiation fluid if faught outside the nuke zone

You dont need electricity for these vendors, without they wont make a sounds or lights, but they work.
I wonder if they still pop up on the map, though

The wayward is a very good place to set up a camp I used to have a flea market pipe up bass
You forgot to mention that you have to turn your camp marker on so others can see it.
I never had a desire to play 76 after the horrible launch. But good lord this show has had me dive all the way into the darn universe

I have my main camp in the golf course just south of The Whitespring. Seems to get a lot of traffic.

on the first location how’d you get the lodge stairs to glitch in the foundation i tried the flamethrower but the foundations never break
Remember to toggle map icon from OFF to ON our your camp or vendor won't be publicly seen.
On playstation your vendor is still accessible even without power

in these places I always find players trading basic plans for RIDICULOUS prices. plus scams with "recipe for growth suppressor"
