My "Vera" is named Lorelei, and she helps me in my shop too. (We build Jeeps). If she wanted to decide where the sockets go, I would let her. The relationship Christian and Vera have is one of the many reasons I love this channel.
I'm a great believer in the old saying - " buy expensive and complain once or buy cheap and complain all the time ". Loving the Austrian made tool bench !
A long time ago in a galaxy far away …. We used to say it’s “Jap crap” , as many things were made in Japan , now it’s “Chinese crap” , I often say things look like a cheap Chinese product, “looks great on the outside, but a pile of crap on the inside”
Since late-model diesel Land Rover vehicles are rare to non-existent in the U.S. and Canada (a huge audience), this might be a factor in the growth of this channel. Although I drive Toyotas, I enjoy Land Rover ownership and maintenance vicariously through Vera and Christian.
As we thought, Vera is the brains of the operation. She did an amazing job organising all that. The toolbox is fantastic, I don't think the price is too high. I missed what brand it is. This was a fun intersesting video. Thank you both.
Christian Vera is right. Sockets in one space and easy to deliver to the vehicle. Oh it’s so good to get involved in someone else’s domestic arrangements. This video gives your fans a great incite into German domestic harmony. Keep it up guys we love it.
Thanks for the great video as always guys. Really enjoyed it. Can I ask what the brand of the tool storage Bench is please? Would love to get one for my home garage 😊
Thank you for showing us the German war memorial, we have one at Cannock Chase German military cemetery here in the UK, It's so sad that so many soldiers, airmen & sailors lost their lives on all sides, there were many that didn't want to fight but had no choice, let them all rest in peace & never be forgotten
And thanks for sharing the views around your house, the castle and the history of your family. Beautiful touches like those make you one of my favorite yt channels!
Good evening Vera and Christian 😊 Every man needs a Vera in their man cave 🤣 What a fantastic job Vera did in organising your tool chest Christian 🤩 Nice seeing the Queen 👸 Life will be easy for you now Christian 👍🏻 Hugs 🤗 for Vera xx
Fantastic ! A place for everything and everything in its place. I went the cheap Chinese plastic drawer route, I spend more time trying to get them opened and then get them closed again. I'm sure we could all do with a bit of Vera's German discipline in our workshops.🙂
You are both so lucky to have found a partner that wants to share the interests and work that you do. It is a very rare combination. I love your channel and your humour (Chtistian) is hilarious. Vera your dedication to your part is amazing. I do hope that Christian spoils you. Keep up the amazing work, it has become my "Go to" resource for work on my RRS 2006. 😊
Love your new setup and congrats! I always enjoy seeing the little bits of German life and even some history that you include in the end of your videos.
AWESOME, fantastic upgrade to the shop! "You should have painted the walls first" says the Desktop Home Improvement Guy! Toyota guys would have made a whole video on how to paint the walls behind an empty tool box LOL...
We will too, when we are waiting for parts to be ordered and delivered once we know what the actual problem is with our new project Disco. That is just to get started. There will be at least 2 to 3 weeks of layover time. 👍🙋♀️
This set up is more convenient that adds more mobility and ease in your workspace. So much so that you have a major engine rebuild next on your list. Great planning! More Sundays to anticipate!
Wow that is a really cool tool chest! I guess im going to have to up grade my plastic bags with random tool bits in!!😢 Really enjoyed the castle tour and the overview of your pretty village! Almost as pretty as the discovery 4! I watch a farmer (olly blogs) here in the uk, he make a video everyday and has just celebrated 4 year's (everyday! even on christmas day😮) I gather from what he says pressing the like 👍 button is really important for the youtube algorithm. Your faithful skinny legged fan. Richard
The way Vera has the ability to arrange her Draws is astounding, there is a job for you in my garage anytime. I have a nice Mercedes that needs careful hands 👍🏻
Good morning Your videos are part of my life now, there very interesting and educational, thank you Christian and Vera. By the way your living in very beautiful part of your country. Regards Thomas
I dig it up for you all. When you pause at 0:18 you can see HBM Machines logo on the cardbox. Not sure it was made in Austria. When you google HBM 215 cm you can find it. It looks like a generic workbench sold under many brand names. Nonetheless it looks really solid.
Absolutely love your straightforward approach with which your open personalities make for very enjoyable content. Not forgetting if course, the excellent technical elements of your videos.
I see that Vera will have a tight reign over the organisation... she couldn't wait to get the tools out your hand Christian and put it back in the draw😂 great job and great set up guys.. I'm only a bit jealous..
Those pliers at 15:00 look like they are from a multi purpose crimping tool set for vehicle trimmers. Those particular heads fitted, look like those you would use to affix the circular base of a Lift the Dot type hood faster on car soft top and tonneau cover materials. The crimp heads can be swapped over, to suit many different types and sizes of fasteners, such as leather hole punches, and for crimping rope eyelets in tarpaulin covers etc.
I loved that shot of you both sitting staring across your garage at your new work bench with tool storage. Too cute 😅😂 I must say though that your new garage layout is very cool 👌👌
There is certainly something very satisfying about reorganising all your tools and equipment in a logical manner. The problem I always have after a reorganisation, is I can never find anything again! Looks very good!
I am currently looking for a new tool box myself, 30yrs plus of tools.. I remember buying tools as a young lad of sixteens yrs old and I still have them and have a connection to each and every tool and where I bought it. Nice looking bench and nice that Vera sorted it ready for the engine repair.
I only just found this channel, was looking for a specific video on timing belt change, but ended up watching 12 hours straight! What a great channel, the best videos and such a fantastic couple. I will be watching a lot more, hilarious and best information at the same time. marks 11 out of 10
I just salvaged a pile of flat cardboard sheets for the next round of jobs... like shop towel, a shop vac and cleaning supplies, which are never mentioned but always used!
I admire all the custom-made special tools you turn out. I do similar but on a much more modest scale. One difference is that when I find a tool I made 3-4 years ago I always think 'This is a very useful tool for a very specific job, if only I could remember what that was...'
To my favorite "Torqueaholic" on TH-cam, hopefully, you reserve one of those new tool boxes just for your torque wrench collection... As many times as I've heard you utter, "I'm not a mechanic", I can believe it with as much time as you spend torquing every little, insignificant bolt on the car, and for what, it's either a Land Rover or a Range Rover; everyone knows they will just break again after 10,000 km. Oh well, working on those cars will provide you with plenty of content for years to come!! Regards, The Toyota Guy
Your Garage Workshop All The Time Be Regular Now With New Tool Box Be More Regular & Be Perfect ..I agree With Vera To keep Sockets In There Box , Good Idea , Christian , Vera You Are Doing Great Job .. Well Done .
Very nice job organising everything. I would vote for the sockets in the draws but ditch the case and put them on socket organiser spikes, very handy for finding the right sized socket quickly.
Good morning and thank you both for another hugely entertaining vlog. Great start to any day, especially a Sunday. Keep well and best wishes to all the family. 👍
Tool box looks great, you guys deserve it as you work so hard on your cars. I'd love to see you paint the garage floor and fit some LED lights. (if you get time)
I don’t know about you two, what’s wrong with bucket of tools and working in a muddy puddle like me . Liking the new tool bench. Great view across your valley and the castle. Bring on next week 🎉
Nothing is wrong. We have been doing it that way for thirty years. But now, with creating TH-cam content and wrenching weekly on our own project cars, I do have earned myself a nice workbench. And the lift, cost us not even 1000€. 👌👍🙋♀️
@@Vera_and_Christian I was only joking , everything looks brilliant. I also now I'm older and wiser (lol) like to invest in good equipment, well done 💯
Love, love, that workshop. Mine needs an overhaul too, I just don't want to spend the money on a new bigger tool box like that. Thank you for showing us your castle and sharing about your grand parents.
I started off with the exact same Craftsman toolbox as you. I too had to buy a bigger box. That is now full and I need an even bigger box! It never ends.
Thank you for your time to showcase your workshop, your enthusiasm and experience is 2nd to none, lots of tips for my 2,7 diesel territory in Australia, thanks again guys must get to Germany lots lovely there, have a good weekend 😊😊😊😊
Thankyou for the castle and village tour. I think Vera is transforming your workshop into a kitchen in preparation for a takeover. You should build a new bigger work shed as a precaution. 😉
Lieber Christian & Vera, vielen Dank für den letzten Teil, in dem ihr uns euer Schloss und den Wald gezeigt habt. Ihr habt so ein Glück, in solch einer schönen Umgebung zu leben!
I enjoyed that very much, as I do all of your videos. I always love to see peoples workshops and how they're set up. Thanks for the tour of the schloss. Rather poignant to see that one of your relatives died on his 32nd. birthday. Cheers, Peter.
I will only use Vise-Grips, I have a range of high quality spanners I've collected over the years, Gedore, Britool, a couple of Snap On, the list goes on, there is always another tool you always need to buy, I love the work bench & Vera has done a very nice job of organising it
You can not beat knowing where all of your tools are i have done some in my Garage and I recon another year and a bit before it is finished ,also i have 4 deep draws fir spares for our landrovers thanks for the video
This channel was recommended to me by a fellow Land Rover owner. You guys are hilarious to watch. A great team. You work together excellent! I am a retired aircraft mechanic and that tool box is by-far too nice! Lol I will be following along!👍
I have that same hose clamp plier kit and I don't know what they do. I only use the same one that you do. That is a very nice tool chest setup. Yes, Vera is definitely the most important tool in the shop - amazing how much LR information she has acquired over these past couple of LR Time years.
As a plumber of over 30 years guys get them channel locks ditched for Knipex. I've tried all pump pliers over the years and the blue ones are trash. Even Crescent are better. The action on Channel Locks is sooooo crude.
The problem with a Volkswagen is it's a Volkswagen... I love my mkv gti but unbelievable what's involved to simply replace a thermostat ! ... most of my tools got stolen last year. You buy tools over many years, so not easy to just replace what you had. Yet another excellent, informative and entertaining video..
Very nice video .. Impressive stuff. Have a great week. I see you Christians roots run deep in your village that must be nice to have a continuity and a feeling of belonging.

😅👌👍 Super cool. We started with major wrenching on our Jeeps too, we never had an LJ so. 🙋♀️
Exactly.
I'm a great believer in the old saying - " buy expensive and complain once or buy cheap and complain all the time ".
Loving the Austrian made tool bench !
Bloody ell Vera, 2,minutes in and you say something we dare not mention in the uk anymore, " doesn't smell cheap Chinese". I cried laughing 😂 😂
I’m not into self censorship. I say this all the time in merry old England. Chinesium does have its place but not where you require precision.
😅👍👌🙋♀️
Why can't you say that in The UK? Really? Orwellian
❤
A long time ago in a galaxy far away …. We used to say it’s “Jap crap” , as many things were made in Japan , now it’s “Chinese crap” , I often say things look like a cheap Chinese product, “looks great on the outside, but a pile of crap on the inside”
The best two precision tools in this workshop are Vera and Christian. They can perform any repair or manufacturing with the utmost accuracy.
Since late-model diesel Land Rover vehicles are rare to non-existent in the U.S. and Canada (a huge audience), this might be a factor in the growth of this channel. Although I drive Toyotas, I enjoy Land Rover ownership and maintenance vicariously through Vera and Christian.
Very moving to see on the memorial that you Christian lost both your Grandpa and Great Uncle in WWII, RIP for Phillip and Peter Muth.
....and she makes lunch too ! That is now a very well appointed workshop (that a Toyota owner doesn't need) Love your videos...very entertaining !
As we thought, Vera is the brains of the operation. She did an amazing job organising all that. The toolbox is fantastic, I don't think the price is too high. I missed what brand it is.

I have just added the 55” tool chest to my collection of storage . It cost £550 with free delivery in the UK. Good organisational skills from Vera .
So that’s what the cardboard is for Oil leaks! Looks a nice smelling bit of kit that tool bench. Beautiful job ,very well.
I see that Vera will have a tight reign over the organisation... she couldn't wait to get the tools out your hand Christian and put it back in the draw😂 great job and great set up guys.. I'm only a bit jealous..

Yeah we lable them for that reason, especially for the suspension. Most tools we make, due to our content Land Rovers, we use often. 😅👍🙋♀️

Great work bench, I got my LR4 5.0 already 500 km done with renewed engine still going great , 13 ltr per 100 km consumption.
That’s a clever idea of course. I also use mostly this plastic wrench and sockets all the time 😅
