"I can handle zombies not sure about ghosts" But can you handle college kids?
Watch how you phrase that question, sir.
@@scrptar129 We're just not doing phrasing anymore.
Addie vs. College Kids
@@GarrettJayChristian "Said Ripley to the Android Bishop."
The worst thing is suspecting that your place might be haunted, but not being sure. My girlfriend's apartment had some weird stuff going on in it and just the idea made showers and sex a little awkward. Once you get that thought in your head you always feel like you're being watched when you're at your most vulnerable. I don't even think ghosts exist, but the thought alone is enough to evoke that feeling.
This is without a doubt the most wholesome horror movie ever. Everyone needs a friendship like Tucker and Dale in their life.
“We’ve got to hide all of the sharp objects” they’re so sweet (albeit naive) for caring about the college kids’ wellbeing 😂
"Oh hidey-ho officer, we've had a doozy of a day."
A real doozy.
6:23 Never has "We got your friend" sound so innocent yet so menacing 😂😂😂😭
This movie is pure comedy
"Hidy-ho officer... we've had a dozy of a day" it kills me every time
"He's crackling like a log!"
10:54 That headlong dive into the woodchipper is glorious. My favorite sight gag in the movie, and the "Are you okay?" after it is the pièce de résistance.
"He's pretty heavy for half a guy."
His "Are you okay?" is just so good. Hilarious.
*chef's kiss* for the "are you ok?" lol
_"The store better not charge me for this!"_
Addie asking "are you ok" already had me laughing
Me too!
"Look, It's Steve the Pirate"
"Who's Steve the Pirate?"
@@JDelwynn dodgeball a true underdog story
@@maskedgamer1965That's a line from Dodgeball.
@@Itwasalwaysme_Noone there's a guy in dodgeball dressed like a pirate?
Go back to Treasure Island
My favorite lines:
"You want a 'Killer Hillbilly'? I'll give you a 'Killer Hillbilly'."
"It's true! You're half Hillbilly."
I also can't blame Dale for not wanting to help the girl at the end. The last time he tried to help a girl like 7 people died.
The blond girl in the cop car screaming "They fucking killed him!!" is my favorite part of this! She gives that line 110% and it's so over the top 🤣🤣
Best line of the movie @13:08...."He's heavy for half a guy"
There's an edited version on the disc called "Tucker & Dale Are Evil" that shows the story entirely from the scared college kids' point of view which makes Tucker and Dale look like the villains.
WHAT
Interesting...
It is great too.
Never seen the DVD, will have to get it just for that version. It's on a level like a book on Dracula I read where it's from his perspective and you find yourself feeling for him The Dracula Tapes
@@thequarteryearman9305 Fred Saberhagen is one of my all time favorite authors. His Dracula novels are excellent.
13:40 "I sawed into a bee's nest." ..."Why"?! Lol
The delivery of that line still cracks me up every time.
Yeah, that's one of my favourites too.
One of my favorite movies with one of my all-time favorite movie quotes. "I shoulda known that if a guy like me talked to a girl like you, somebody'd end up dead."
The "he's cracklin like log" line gets me every time.
that guy throwing himself into the woodchipper like that will never not be funny XD He just superman dived right in.
Head first straight into the woodchipper....
The college kid huckin' hisself inta the wood chipper is one of the best extended visual jokes I've ever seen.
Alan Tudyk is so underrated, frikking legend
his best work is in the tv show "powerless"
RIP Wash. 😔
“You’re half hillbilly” never fails to make me laugh out loud
I remember being bored one day looking for a great comedy. Came across this gem on Netflix after never hearing anything about it. Great to say I was not disappointed. I was laughing at every misunderstanding and death, every poor choice of words to make it worse. It truly is a hidden gem of a comedy with great writing.
1:10 11:05 Them both asking if they're ok after they were clearly already dead was pretty funny ngl lol 😂
I love that Chad's mom stumbled and hid behind a log, and later, Tucker does the same thing
This is so perfect for Addie
This film is one of the strangest but best comedy horrors ever. I watched it on a whim because it has Alan Tudyk in it. So glad I did. Addie your reaction was just, that was me when I first watched it.
One of the funniest movies ever - with a lot of heart. Loved your reaction.
This is one of the best comedy horror movies. So glad you got to see it
Tucker and Dale vs Evil
'A romantic comedy with a body count'
I love this movie, its so over the top and hilarious. I got to meet Alan Tudyk recently and he was super nice.
Interesting and hilarious how the crazier Chad becomes, the more popped his collar is! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
An absolute blast and when going in blind or mostly blind the movie never ceases to surprise anyone I show it to. Instant classic for my wife and I. Alan Tudyk is a legend and such a great supporting actor. Tyler Labine really shines here and I wish he had more roles. He was great in Deadbeat and Reaper too.
8:21 It's nice to see someone else be a leaf on the wind for a change
Now listen here...
@@WolfHreda too soon? 🍃
@@internetsideshow it will always be too soon. 🤣
TOO SOON!!!
Well played, friend, well played.
This movie is without a doubt, the most rare hidden gems ever. I never knew about this movie until one day. I heard all about this movie from this one TH-camr, who was hyping the shit out of it and making it seem like it’s this really awesome well written original story. And he was right this movie has what Hollywood is lacking, originality and creativity. This movie is one of the most hilarious and most wholesome horror comedies ever. I think this movie may be a little bit better than Shaun of the dead. I mean, you can’t go wrong with the two main characters Tucker and Dale you really buy their friendship and they have a lot of chemistry together and they’re these two lovable knuckleheads. And I love the idea of the college students actually being in the villains especially Chad. I like the idea of flipping the script of the two characters that you would suspect are the bad guys but they’re actually good guys and the college students are actually the bad guys. They’re portrayed as these ignorant dumb preppy college students I’m not generalizing, but that’s what college students tend to be sometimes. I’m glad this movie is now getting recognized as a cult classic because when this movie came out, nobody cared about it. It was a directed DVD movie so it took a while for it to gain some recognition.
Jangers...
Everyone always worries about Jangers...🤣
Fun fact: that's the same cabin "evil dead" the original was filmed in.
10:34 I think that call that "Chekhov's Woodchipper".
15:38 The moment Addie became “Evil”. 😂😂
She Not evil 😭😭😢😢
@@jbwade5676 She turned Evil when the puppy got stomped. 🥾🐕🩸👣
This movie's life reminds me of Office Space. Took a minute to catch on but it's solidly in beloved and underrated classic status now.
All it really needed was people to not assume from the title that it was just another cheap, lame splatterfest. Once some did and word started spreading...
Tucker & Dale is such a gem of a movie. It's not great art or anything, but it knows what it is and what it wants to accomplish, and it leans into it heavily and unashamedly. And it has so much heart. Alan Tudyk is always great, but for me the true stars of this movie are Tyler Labine as Dale and Jesse Moss as Chad. Tyler Labine's portrayal of Dale is just so wholesome and heartwarming that you can't help but want to just hug him. And Jesse Moss plays Chad to perfection. It's easy to overlook actors in villainous roles for the simple reason that we usually don't like them very much, but that's the whole point: we are not _supposed_ to like them, and Jesse Moss does the job and then some. He really manages to reach into the audience's mind and make us think "Man, I really want this guy to die", which is a testament to his skill as an actor.
One of my favorite scenes always gets cut out in reactions. It is when Allison is explaining that her friends might have thought Tucker and Dale wanted to hurt her. Dale asks why they would think that, and she does this hilarious thing where she looks away and is like, "I don't know."
Horror comedy is the best genre of horror. This movie plays off the common trope that many characters in horror movies kind of walk right into their own demise, not as literally as in this movie though. Another great horror comedy is Cabin in the Woods, but it is a lot darker and more gory. Interestingly, it was cowritten by Whedon and thus features some actors who've been in other works of his.
Such a phenomenal movie and once again a great reaction Addie
I've seen this comedy horror film before and loved it!❤ Alan Tudyk is a very funny actor. That is why I enjoyed him on that show titled, "Resident Alien" from Syfy.
After the death of the fourth college kid, Addie says, “this is all going well…”🤣 Addie with a big beautiful smile…as Tucker’s vacation cabin blows up with four college kids inside…🤣😂
Yep. It's a tragedy what's happened to her. 😢
Such a great movie. It takes the trope of murderous hillbillies and turns it on its head. Just really bad luck for Tucker and Dale.
Tyler Labine(dale) is such a an underrated actor. He also stars in a couple other thrillers that are actually really good
He was also great in Reaper (tv-show from a while back)
Reaper is another GREAT show he was in. Tyler Labine is such a likable dude
@bZman I honestly haven't seen a movie or show I didn't like. He's just the kind of guy you love to love. My personal favorite was when he did the show "deadbeat" on Hulu when he played a clairvoyant pothead 🤣🤣that show was great
@ have you seen Someone Marry Barry? Its a fun comedy about him as the “annoying friend” his friend group tries to get hitched so he leaves them alone
@bZman I own it :)
I still love this movie, everyong dying in the dumbest ways possible is so funny but with the element of gore adding a light amount of horror to the mix; they genuinely just wanted to help these kids, and yet they kept dying in the wildest freak accidents
At this point I just assume Alan Tudyk is in everything until proven otherwise.
God I love this movies and movies where the characters have subverted expectations too.
One of the rules of movies are if they show a wood chipper, someone's getting killed with it.
Why I hide indoors when there's a tree trimming truck in the neighborhood. _Anywhere_ in the neighborhood.
Does this happen THAT often in movies?! 😳😂
@@AddieCounts Like he said, you see a chipper, it's only there for _one_ reason.
🚫🌳🌲🌴
It ain't trees... 🩸🩸💀🩸🩸
If I had a nickle for every movie I saw with a body going into a woodchipper, I'd have three nickles, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened thrice.
@@daxriley8195 For me, it's not the quantity, it's the 💯% success rate...
ahh s h* t THAT line by Tucker after the guy is just consumed by wood chipper always gets me, and gets the funniest reaction. also "He's heavy for half a guy" Nice reactions all thru this wild film addie
one of the greatest comedies ever made
What we learned: never run towards a wood chipper.
I LOVE this movie, it turns all the "evil hillbilly" tropes on their head and Tucker and Dale are such great friends and friendly people that they are so fun to watch
😂😂 Great reaction Allison I mean Addie. 😂😂 No Zombies on this one. Just Chad. 😂😂
No comparison.
Allison is not a bloodthirsty psychopathic revenge-monger. 😱
This movie is awesome fun and I've watched it numerous times. Your reaction is icing on the cake. Thanks, Addie! 🤗
"Tucker & Dale and Their One Doozy of a Day."
100K! 🏆❤️🏆 I am not surprised. “goshdarn it, people like you”
22:18 I don't know how many reactions to this I've seen but I think this is the first time I've seen someone catch this.
I think what scared Allie about Dale in the cabin at first was the musical score, which was scary as hell! Sometimes characters can hear it, I swear.
No ghosts... just Chad.
Loving Addie's spooky season 🎃🍿
I love this movie so much! Comedy's on point, the characters are fascinating, Dale IS super cute... And it's got a pretty powerful message about the perils of judging things based entirely on appearances.
Never been this early to an upload from someone I'm subscribed to. Awesome movie choice. 👍
Love this film so much and it makes a great double-feature with "The Cabin in the Woods" with Chris Hemsworth, which I love even more. TCitW is another take on the, well, cabin in the woods trope and absolutely hilarious, while still having some genuine horror moments appropriate for that type of film. Also, there was a Tucker & Dale reunion, of sorts, when Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine were both in the 2nd season of the series "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" with Elijah Wood, and they were great in it. Alan played a rare role as a bad guy and he was really menacing, but still had nice comic moments. Great reaction Addie, as always!
Alan in "Tucker & Dale".
Fran Kranz and Amy Acker in "Cabin in the Woods"
🎭
All three were in "Dollhouse". Alpha, Topher, and Whiskey.
@@3rdOption-l9t - Fran was so hilarious in TCitW! And Amy is great in everything.
This is one of those films where you get a thumbs up before watching, it’s always a great reaction 🙌 and you did not disappoint.
Fun fact, Cable steals their truck in deadpool 2.
I love Addie advocating for violence :D Obviously against evil, but still... Love it :D :D :D
There is a television series called Stan Against Evil, starring John C. McGinley from Scrubs/Platoon/Office Space, that does have demons/zombies, so maybe that is why you thought this had zombies?
I love the combination of horror and comedy, especially when Addie is reacting to it. Speaking of Addie, she's less than 100 new subscribers away from 100K! Anyone not subscribed, what are you waiting for? Get on board by ringing the bell. She deserves it.😊
You and Tucker have something in common: you're always asking whether people are OK. That's nice of you, especially when Tucker asked whether the guy stuck deep in the wood chipper was OK. 😱😉
Fell in love with this movie the first time I watched it. Alan Tudyk so good.
So good. Barrel of laughs
For over a decade this has been one of my top go-to films, no matter how many times I watch it I laugh my head off, in a weird way it's like comfort food, it never gets old.
I love this movie so much! Glad you watched it.
The push to 100k is near the finish line!
"Someone is freaking going to die by this woodchipper."
Addie is obviously familiar with the principle of Chekhov's Woodchipper: if you introduce a woodchipper in a scene, a character must go into it in a later scene.
It was only half right, this time...
@@NarwahlGaming True, but it was the important half.
" I am a Leaf on the Wind"...Alan T.'s best line ever...=))
It took me 10 years to make the connection that Tucker's new vacation home actually used to belong to Chad's father. Way too long! 🤦♂️🤣
@@JakkFrost1 when I realized that, I raised both hands to my head and did the hand gestures of ‘mind blown!’🖐️🤯🖐️

It's a really fun movie! thanks for bringing us along for the watch!
As someone that does live alone in a cabin in the woods, this movie gave me a complex about college kids.
This is one of my favorite movies, and I have been hoping to see you react to it. I've seen scores of reactions to this and I have to say, yours is the best. Also I live that you realized it is actually a rom/com.
I hope you are having a great day.

Pickled eggs are delicious. It's the side effects that are bad
While working at a campground/convenience/sporting goods type of place, we would sell pickled eggs. Sometimes we would eat more than we sold. LOL
I had to find that out the hard way 😂 a local bar always had them and finally tried one then two and so on . The next day was awful 💩
@@kingspanky2794 LOL There's always that risk at bars..
I know Tucker from "Reaper". REALLY fun, funny show (especially the 1st season) and he plays a very similar type of character. You'll never watch it, it's way too under-the-radar, but it's a top tier "undiscovered gem" tv show.
(The list: Life, Keen Eddie, The Good Guys, Andy Barker PI, Sense8, Farscape, Party Down, Misfits, Reaper)
God I wish someone would react to Reaper.
I love this film! So glad you’re checking it out, it’s more comedy than scary but it’s a lot of fun
Fun fact: Not one but 2 of the actors in this movie are former power rangers. The guy with the dreads was a red ranger and the news reporter was a yellow ranger who is also married to this films director.
10:47 So that's what jumping to conclussions gets you huh.😂
Considering they heard a scary story about killer hillbiliies, while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, leading to the first misinterpretation.
Then a Series of Unfortunate Events, due to the initial misinterpretation. Tucker was actually smart dealing with the bees by using the smoke from the chainsaw to calm them down.
They're gonna need a vacation to get over that vacation.😂
Congrats on 100k! 🎉

First time I've actually paid attention when watching Lady Addie, but holy cow, you've got some incredible eyes! I'd love to get lost in them.😊
