    My ancestors were royal guards for the Kings of Leon-Castile established in AD 1,006 (oldest active royal guard in Europe)
    There is a lot of Reconquista blood in my heritage so this particular series of this channel is very interesting to me and your doing it such great justice I love Muslim/Medieval Iberia. However I love all your videos I've seen them all man. Great, rich history in this channel among my favorite; blessings going forward my friend.
    P.S. I know I'm from the opposite side but much respect and love to the Moroccan bros across the sea our ancestor's struggels made for some vibrant history! :)

      Actually Morocco's official name was the kingdom of Marrakech مملكة مراكش until early 1960 when Mohammed 5 died and Hassan 2 took the throne and changed the regime from a Sultanat to a kingdom.
      Morocco is derived from Marrakech or " Amur N yakuch" which means land of god in Berber. In Spanish Morocco is Marruecos and to this day in Persian its Marrakech. Since it was our capital under the Almoravids al-mohaid and saadi dynasties.
      In Turkish for example Morocco is fas because it was our capital under the marinid wattasid and Alaouite dynasties that ruled when turks were colonizing Algeria

      The roman empire used the word Barbaric for uncivilised foreigners, that's what Berber means. Barberos is the first term invented by the Greeks. That is why Amazighs don't like the word Berber because it's offensive. Amazighs means free nobles or free people.

  • @alezzacreative
    @alezzacreative 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    In the annals of history, we are known as "AMAZIGH," the free and noble people in our own tongue. The name "Berber" was thrust upon us by foreign invaders, Romans and Arabs alike, who sought to diminish our spirit. Despite their attempts, we remained a thorn in the side of the sons of Abu Jahl. Our ancestors valiantly resisted the Arab invasion for nearly 70 years, enduring one of the toughest wars the so-called "Muslims" faced to spread Islam.
    When the time came, we embraced Islam as free men, but we refused to bow to Arab rule. This defiance ignited the first Amazigh rebellion, blessed by Allah, which ultimately toppled the oppressive Umayyad regime. Our struggle and resilience paved the way for the Abbasids, and our legacy as a proud and indomitable people endures to this day.
    our modo is ⴰⵡⴰⵍ, ⴰⴽⴰⵍ , ⴰⴼⴳⴰⵏ : our tongue,our land ,our people

    I like the video and your content. But I have to agree with other comments that this rather casual approach to story telling is decreasing the credibility of your videos. Maybe you never intended this channel to be that, but still the style makes us to compare you with other channels of similar type, like Kings and Generals or BazzBattles.
    When I was first introduced to your channel I thought that it's BazzBattles but focusing on Islamic history. Your channel opens my eyes that there were rather few pious, capable and responsible leaders in Islamic history, just like all over the world.
