- Hey guys, another banger today and thanks for watching, my name is Troy, I'm bald and I collect watches and I have managed to add to the collection a new Casio "Tiffany".
I am super happy to have added this along side the highly sought after Casio "Tiffany" MTP-1302PD-2A2VEF

Yes you're right, the digital and analogue times are different. So 1980s I am 56 so grew up with this style on my wrist. I have had Casio since I was a teenager. Great quality and a bargain price. Good unboxing. Looks great on your wrist. I think the moss green one for me.
I really like that green one, I don't understand why Casio didn't do all of them in IP coating. I can also confirm it looked good on my wife's wrist so a perfect unisex choice. Yeah ani digi are super 80s I think that makes them so appealing. An unforgettable era.

Quite a cool watch there Troy. That hour hand in the ani definitely washes out a little bit making legibility for it a little tricky. Nice dual time feature between the ani digi
Yeah that seems to be the kicker for me, the hands do let this down, otherwise this is a stunner

I have always liked teal, it's a fave colour of mine, and the tiffany colour is very close to teal, so I got to say its got me hook line and sinker!!
I was looking for a new casio, and that point you make with the low contrast is true for a lot of their new designs. They are going monochrome for that clean minimal look, which is nice, but it heavily sacrifices readability with the lack of contrast. They all use the same color on the hands and dial! Frustrating because I love analogs for being able to "feel" the time at a glance, but wiping out the contrast makes that impossible, a glance isn't enough I would need to squint to read the time
They don't even need to sacrifice the minimalist look to make the hands/markers visible, adding one contrasting color and the watches could look just as clean...
The button for adjusting the analog time is really an improvement to the old AQ-230 models, as it is more accessible, has a little dent and can be ideally pushed with a ball pen refill. This will save the resin case for damage. I wonder if CASIO also improved the dual time functionality regarding the date change. If you're in dual time mode and the date doesn't change midnight it makes not quite sense, right!?

Even though this is classed as a ladies watch I’m still adding it to my collection it’s just too beautiful I’m sure a lot men will be wearing this one too.
Which is more attention grabbing this or white dial?
Got to be honest I’m not feeling it on this one I’ve had my fill of watches that are difficult to tell the time on due to hard to read dials
The blue colour of the dial looks like the result of the glass being coloured blue and not the dial. The dial is probably a bland white or silver colour.
does the screen have a light to see in the dark?

I like the look of the watch but the fact there is not enough contrast on the hands, the overall size ( your thumb looks bigger than the watch) and that clasp is a hard sell for me. I had a bad experience with that clasp months ago and I’m still a basket case because of it. Would love to see a side-by-side review of this and the other Casio, Tiffany watch you recently picked up. Looking forward to your full review buddy.
The clasp has been ok, but we are only talking 24 hours. The hands and indexes were a let down because they are so hard to read. I honestly feel this would have been 10x better in that IP coating. It'll make that blue pop and maybe with black hands.

I love the watch and I'm tempted to get it in this colour, however i noticed on the website that the case is not metal, I'm fine with resin or plastic but does the shiny coating rub off over time? That's the impression I'm getting from looking at it...
That's a very valid point. It's in a big collection in rotation so not a daily so I'm not to worried about wear and tear, but I think as a daily it will probably show wear and tear alot quicker, and with it not being a stainless steel model even more so.
@@thebaldwatchcollector yeah that's what I thought, do you think the darker colours in this collection would fair better? I'm not planning to use it as a daily anyway, I have my cheap Casio illuminator for that so this one would be a weekend watch for the most part.
The other colours are £20 dearer so maybe they are metal cased. I can confirm that the chrome resin cases scratch up pretty quickly 😢
How bizarre that the hands and indices would be in the same tone - is the crystal maybe tinted?
They dropped the ball with the hands i'm afraid, but other than that it's still a pretty cool inexpensive pick up, thank you for watching.

Being an old fart who remembers and is nostalgic for the original, this one doesn’t do it for me. Homaging a retro watch in modern colours seems counter intuitive, my mammalian brain can’t compute… Good review m8
