      With that kind of acceleration, I agree, however at least the MX30 is kind of a cool unique vehicle.

    Love the new Mazdas but I wonder if we will ever see a fast Mazda again - hope the upcoming ~300hp I6 Mazdas are going to deliver more sporty performance. :-)

      Showing that high probably due to the tests they are doing, full throttle, revving hard, that's not what the car would normally be used in.

      I would say that this Mazda isn't properly run in yet so expect fuel economy to improve. I own a Mazda 3 SP25 2.5L from 2015 and it averages around 6l per 100k no worries at all. I can even get it as low as 5.4l per 100k very very impressive considering it has 138kw and 250nm. Not a slow car either has plenty of power great fuel economy and fantastic reliability. And best of all it's a NA engine so no turbo so it will last. 0-100km/h is also around 7-8 seconds

    • @TEMPLE7D
      @TEMPLE7D ปีที่แล้ว

      It won’t be that bad if you aren’t doing full throttle pulls all the time.

    Those suicide doors are a disaster in a carpark with tight spaces. They make it nearly impossible to get out of the back seats.

      It’s a small skinny car. Unless the parking lot is already inadequate (which you shouldn’t park any vehicle), you should be more than fine.

    So like subaru wank hybrid waste of and money all that complexity for no net gain in performance and economy.. 8.6L 100 sure in normal driving would achieve about 8L which is no better than 2010 corrolla I had a few years ago

  • @mrxss1
    @mrxss1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Very disappointing performance and fuel economy. For a similar starting price you could easily get a hybrid Camry or Rav4 that would blow this Mazda out of the water. I like Mazdas but they can’t do a hybrid yet!

    • @michaeljones7497
      @michaeljones7497 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because they aren't really interested in manufacturing EV or hybrid vehicles. Mazda is more interested in further improvement to the internal combustion engine they believe it isn't dead yet and are also looking at alternative fuel to power them such as algae.

    Mazda = Headache
    Check the ACCC vs Mazda, you will get more real cases. The case is ongoing.
    The ACCC has instituted proceedings in the Federal Court against Mazda Australia Pty Ltd (Mazda) alleging that Mazda engaged in unconscionable conduct and made false or misleading representations in its dealings with consumers
    Mazda has bad engines!!! bad service!!!
    I got a brand new cx-9 5 months ago in Brisbane, it has been towed back to dealership twice due to engine issues. and mazda never told you any detail about your car's issue.

    Why Mazda can`t make decent 1.5 turbo engine? Instead they continue to use archaic 2.0 NA which is totally outdated. 10.3s 0-100 is a joke

    • @michaeljones7497
      @michaeljones7497 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothing outdated about the 2.0 or 2.5 so why change something that is already perfect! Brilliant engine with plenty of power great fuel economy and strong reliable engines. With no turbo! So the engine will last some people like myself prefer NA engines they are far more reliable then turbo engines and they last. And if you are referring to the Honda 1.5 turbo that has had oil dilution issues so ill pass on that!

    • @alexshoneya
      @alexshoneya 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaeljones7497 dude. 2.0 NA 150hp L-series was used by Mazda in 2001, 20 YEARS AGO. Today is era of turbo and hybrids, but Mazda still offer outdated 2.0 NA 150hp. I will never buy NA car anymore, after I used turbo cars.

    • @michaeljones7497
      @michaeljones7497 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexshoneya Nothing outdated about them they have changed them over the years to further improve power and fuel economy they introduced Skyactiv! And have now introduced. Skyactiv X uses a unique Mazda technology called Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SPCCI). SPCCI combines the fuel-efficiency and low-end torque of a diesel with the power and drivability of a petrol engine. The engine switches seamlessly between conventional spark ignition and a compression ignition mode where a lean fuel-air mix is compressed so that it will combust even more efficiently. It’s the best of both worlds. No other car manufacturer in the world has been albe to develop this so hats off to Mazda! Mazda also doesn't see EV and hybrid vehicles or turbo vehicles in there future that's why they have only made a few as they believe they ICE can be further improved and looking at ways of powering it on different fuels such as using algae as fuel. And another thing these engines will outlast any turbo 4 cyl!

    • @alexshoneya
      @alexshoneya 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaeljones7497 This marketing bullshit, to be honest. Skyactive-X-Z/Spaceactive-W. THIS IS NA 150hp, which can do 0-100 for just 10.3 sec. Very weak engine with low torque. It was great for 2001, but not in 2021. Why should I care about spark ignition/air-fuel ratio/compression and all tech stuff?

    • @michaeljones7497
      @michaeljones7497 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexshoneya You do realise this engine isn't properly run in yet so could explain for the subpar 0-100kmh it will get better fuel economy and 0-100 times i guarantee it. I have a 2015 Mazda SP25 138kw 250nm NA does 0-100 in 7-8 second also averages 6l per 100k and as low as 5.4l per 100km in fuel which is amazing for an engine with this power! And it's actually a pretty quick car
