Fantastic, Scott. Congrats. That’s a really fun morning for sure. I’m betting there were some Really good ones in that batch. The fall Fishing should be starting there. Sept is a great month for that blade. Whack em. May God Bless. jimmy
I’m 28 years old I never had cable to see you fish. It means a lot to watch a pro with such passion of fishing and God. TH-cam is the only way I get to learn from the best like you! God bless ❤
Jimmy… I will be 82 in May and I have been watching your shows and videos for the last 45+ years. You sir, are the best fisherman I have ever had the privilege to watch. Your spinner bait videos got me started in bass fishing and I have caught more bass on spinnerbaits that I would be able to count. I have always wanted to meet you in person and shake your hand, but it was just not meant to be. GOD bless you Jimmy and your beautiful wife Chris. ❤
That is so fantastic, Dave. Thanks a bunch for those kind and encouraging comments! I’ll be running around the country quite a bit this year. Hope to see you somewhere. May God Bless. jimmy
Thanks Jimmy, I love your in-depth how-to videos! Well I dont have a Livescope because I dont have a boat to put it on. Yet! LOL! Lord willing, maybe next year. Man, I sure remember how hard we used to have to work to wake those spinnerbaits with those slower reels we used to have. Reels have come a long way. May God bless yall!
Some folks let em fall a little, Martin, before they start reeling. Gotta engage and wind. Never let em down. Reels nowadays definitely make it easier. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Im 57 yo been watching your videos for several years, you taught me how to fish a spinnerbait and have caught lots of big bass over the years. Still my favorite lure to throw thank you for all you do. Tight lines
I’ve really figured out how to fish the Jimmy Houston Legends spinnerbaits. It’s interesting how we find a handful of lures that are our “go to’s”. God bless and Whack em!!
They sure do Masters, I finished second in the big Legends tournament Bass Pro held on Percy Priest on the Redman! Chris won every Bass N Gal tournament ever held in Tennessee, pretty much on that bait. I think 4 Tournaments in all there. It’s a fish catcher for sure. Thanks. Whack em. May God Bless. jimmy
I really injoy your videos, as much as the articles I read about you in the bassmaster magazine in the late 70s. You introduced me to spinnerbaits then and love loved them ever since.I was in the navy then and got to fish the st John's river also lake Marion and Moultrie..keep up the good work, and God bless you.
Great tips Jimmy. I’ve never caught a fish on a spinner bait. I fish mostly worms. My favorite is top water on a calm spring morning. When the fish attacks it, it’s like seeing a 10 point buck. I get excited. Love your channels. You need to monetize your channel. You’re missing out on extra money
Give that Spinnerbait a try, Patriot, and fish it up where you can see it. When one strikes, you’ll think you died and went to heaven. Lol. Whack em. Godspeed. jimmy
Great tips from a great teacher and more important, a great man. Not much longer and we will be ready, here in the Midwest to go out there with the Redman spinnerbait.
Ok...never had tons of success with a spinner bait. Last year I forced myself to use more and I got better. This year I'm gonna use them even more. In fact, I just got my first Jimmy Houston spinner bait this week. Single blade...white.
Jimmy, I have been using spinner baits since the early seventies. It’s fun changing different blades and colors till you have the one the bass want. For that day anyway lol. I recently bought 3 bladed jigs at a cost of 12 dollars each. In a matter of 15 minutes I lost two of them in some brush. Do you use them and how do you keep from getting snagged? I can throw a spinner bait anywhere but not the bladed jig. 🙏🎣🦃🦌🐕🦺
I do use blades jigs, Michael. It’s hard for me to know when to throw a Spinnerbait or a bladed jig. I do catch far more fish on a Spinnerbait. If you’re fishing really heavy cover you might try running a rubber band from your jig eye back to the barb on your hook. That will help some. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
I like to use heavier line in Spinnerbaits, Mr. You can get by on 10, but I think you would be better off with 14 or so. Whack em. May God Bless. jimmy
THANK You Jimmy and GOD Bless YOU and Chris and ALL that you care for🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
When the best spinner bait fisherman speaks we listen… thank you Jimmy for the tips and advice
I don't do much on the internet but it's pretty cool to be able to get tips from jimmy and roland almost every day.
We appreciate you, Rand. May God Bless. jimmy
Thank you sir for sharing with us all. God bless you and your lovely bride Chris.....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
Nothing like a Jimmy Houston giggle 😂😂😂

Still my favorite too, Chris. Hope you get a chance to try the new Redman. It’s retro but a killer. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

God bless and Whack em!!
They will get em for sure. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
So many of us first started bass fishing as a youngster with the ol spinner bait.
It’s still a great bass catcher, Jon. Still my favorite even with all the great new bait’s that have come along. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Cold lips haha on that fish JIMMY!!!
Spinner bait is my absolute favorite to fish.
Me too. Godspeed. jimmy

The water is not all that cold here in Oklahoma. Wont be long. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
I was at Lake of the Ozarks Saturday looking at property. It was 21 degrees and there was a tourament.
Ooh, Great Lake. I’ve fished there below freezing. Not too much fun. Lol. May God Bless. jimmy
Ok...never had tons of success with a spinner bait. Last year I forced myself to use more and I got better. This year I'm gonna use them even more. In fact, I just got my first Jimmy Houston spinner bait this week. Single blade...white.
That’s great choice, Matthew! I’m believing you’re gonna live and do great. Whack em. May God Bless. jimmy
That knot looks like the one Shaw Grisby demonstrated at the bass master classic a few years ago
It could be. Most of the pros use my knot. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Its a Double pitzen best knot to tie
I use a gold blade and silver blade with white skirt and catching reds in saltwater I use the scent of shrimp
Sounds perfect to me, Larry. Thanks. Godspeed? jimmy
Thanks Jimmy, i have a question, what is the best line for fishing spinnerbaits? thanks alot
I throw it mostly in 15 or 20 pound test line. I like a line that is pretty abrasion resistant. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
i just bought the same one! lol
Whack em’, Rob. Thanks. Godspeed. jimmy
Man ne and my oldest son wack em good on spinner baits last weekend 49 degree water, yes sir
That’s so cool, Daryl. Tell him I said Congrats. May God Bless. jimmy

@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing thanks Jimmy I will try that.
I'm new to spinner bait fishing and have 10 lbs line on my pole os that gonna be fine or should I use heavier line?
I like to use heavier line in Spinnerbaits, Mr. You can get by on 10, but I think you would be better off with 14 or so. Whack em. May God
Bless. jimmy
Wouldn't it be quicker and easier to just tie a Palomar??
A Palomar for most folks is only an 80% knot most of the time. For some it gets closer. Thanks. Godspeed. jimmy
Jimmy look at your eyes on your rod might be broke and it's cutting your line
Thanks, Alex. Very possible. My camera guy steps in quite a bit. lol. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
All that money, and no fish. What?
Lol. It happens, Biker. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Knot = Double Pitzen
