Also, Chicago's southside? We definitely don't park our cars in the garage! They're used for storage BUT they usually always have tv's in them! Sports are watched in the garage, especially in the warm weather!

I love this Aden! This is the type of house we raised our 3 kids in and still live in. We live in Australia and this type of house was popular in the mid 20thC. Our house is 3 bedrooms and when our kids were small we renovated to open up the living kitchen and dining. We added a study teenagers, which we turned another bedroom when they were teenagers so they all had their own space. All our kids moved out in the past few years and hubby and I had lots of space. But now, for cost of living reasons, our middle daughter and her partner are moving back in. They can have two rooms and we are happy to have them stay with us for a while. For my cloudy drizzly Sydney Sunday, I'm going to download this and do some renovations. I love to open up to have open plan k/l/d's. I will place it in the larger block in San Sequoia and make you a nice big garden with a pool :)
Devon, I found the best windows for British house builds. The square windows that came with the magic pack, they have a plain white clear swatch. Trust, they wont let you down! A little gem I found. The curved varients from the magic pack have the same matching swatch too.
Being British I love this build so much. I’m 34 but I’d love a bungalow with a big garden so I can adopt some dogs to be friends with my dog Blu and my cat ginge. Have to say, I watch a few builders on you tube and you are my absolute favourite. Every single build is different whereas most peoples are almost the same!! Love the ikea cube storage you did, looks like my home! Also, would you consider doing a larger British home for all sim life ages? You can skip the bathrooms though 😂 ❤

Thanks for not having your speed builds super fast. Most make me queasy and makes the builder speed talk which can make me nervy, but yours are good and slower, you also can see more of the actual build and you don’t have to talk so fast! Good speed thanks.
Already Saturday here in Australia. I started a new Sims challenge last night (one that I made up) which I'll play more of today. It's a renovation challenge where you buy a starter home and can only makeover or add one room at a time. Once completed you can move out but you must sell all furniture and buy a furnished starter home in a different world and do it again. Rules I'm using is to only earn money from the world itself and its pack, only do a renovation once the household funds goes over 10K and can't use build buy mode at any other time. I started in Willow Creek with only base game to earn money, so have been selling collectables, gardening and working in the business career.
Single story homes are cheaper?!? Here in the states, there's a premium on single story houses. They cost more per square foot than two story homes. Hubs and I wanted a single story house (husband's knees are bad due to old flag football injury 😂) and it took us a year to find one we could afford that also didn't suck. It's smaller than we wanted/needed, but we manage, and don't miss the stairs. We plan to stay here into our 70's or 80's, fingers crossed. As long as the property taxes don't send us packing! And... 30 x 30 and 30 x 40 lots are my favorite sizes because they allow room for back gardens. As a gardener myself, these are must haves. Also, round of applause!!!
There are parts of this build that really remind me of my in-laws house who are in a bungalow in the South-West of England. (the living room/kitchen/dinning room/front exterior including the car!) I feel like I need to download this and redo it as if they lived there because they've got two massive personalities!! 😂
ln the US, young people also priced out of housing. And houses in this price range, typically have had garages converted to living space. McMansions have garages that store expensive cars.
I think they’re called a vestibule and some houses that have them are used to trap air and to keep heat inside the home during the colder months. Also acts as a storage space for outdoor clothing/items so kinda like a mudroom
Maybe its not really cohesive cause a) they want a realism vibe where family homes have many pieced of furniture from over the years and not necessarily a perfect show home set of matching furniture b) they recycled stuff they had scrapped for this pack lol
We would call a 'house' two or more storeys, and a 'bungalow' is just on one level. Space is not something we have a lot of here comparatively so there are way more houses than bungalows. This is also why many homes here are terraced or attached to other houses.
