Rappers are the rubbish of society, coming from a person who used to listen to them. They have no eloquence or wisdom, just utter idiots throwing swears and threats.
There is a form of poetry in Arabia called Nahu(not sure about this spelling at all),each line has a rhythm to it, almost like rap but rap is a disservice to it tho.

MasyaAllah. Beautiful story you have there brother. This makes me understand why Quran is the greatest mukjizat for our Prophet SAW. Thank you so much.
Such a great video. Please bring more stories from Arabic civilization. Interestingly Arabics and Pashtuns have many linguistic and civilizational similarities which I intend to bring forward in the future.
I guess you should have also explained that those words (ka'ab and kilāb) being used to humiliate the numayr tribe are homonyms. Ka'ab means the heel or the proper noun of a tribe , as kilāb would also mean the owners of dogs which also connotes with status and also a type of despicable contagious desease.(3 meanings). Numayr is a proper noun of a tribe but also means a small tiger. In Arabic the word structure as such would mean to belittle the status of the reference. So, its a clever play of words. Hence, the paraphrasing of the meaning of the line could be: Get lost, you are from a tribe that is named after a small tiger, low in status which neither reach the height of a heel, nor does it reach the positions of the owners of dogs and not even enough to be of the status of a despicable contagious disease. Kinda like a punch under the navel really for the numayr tribe.😂
Barakallah feek, but I haven't seen this interpretation in the sharhs of the bayt I referred too. Not sure this is a style the Arabs used. But do share any references you may have come across.
No these are lineages ka’ab and kilab are lineages from the tribe of Hawazin from which Numair (tribe are also from) but the former two are more famous and have a higher status and no disrespect to Numair because they were one of the few small tribes that didn’t ask help from their cousins. Arab named the big tribes which have smaller tribes in it like (hawazin have many tribes like the three mentioned in the poem are all from it)who are strong as skulls which are 8 Embers/cinders which are three meaning tribes that didn’t ask for help from their cousins which Numair tribe are from.
Freedom of speech at its finest. To insult a tribe in amidst of their tribesmen without fearing any repercussions. This is the beauty and safety that Islam provides.
Freedom is the blood that runs in Arabs veins and pure nobility is their highest pride. This has always been their main characteristic way before Islam. This is why Allah (swt) chose them to carry his last message to all humanity. Today they and their character and language are under a viscious existential attack. All is being gradually lost unfortunately.
@@MAGH1O1 I wish it were true. Corruption is still affecting the arabs. Most men aren't Muslim. Even my own brother. As a matter of fact, you're right. Visited Jarir Bookstore scores of time in Jeddah without ever realizing the name referred to a great poet.Similar to a desert traveller who views the desert from his car but stops not to hold an handful of sand or walk on the sand dunes nearby and contemplate on the emptiness around.

She said while she was angry 😡 O Banu Namir, you did not apply the word of God, tell the believers to close their eyes.” And you did not apply the words of the poet Jarir?

Great video my brother, but I wish you put some emphasis on why he mentioned Ka'ab and Kilab in the poem which was because Numayr, Ka'ab and Kilab were all part of the larger Banu Amir tribe. Which is to say Numayr are the lowest in terms of status between the sons of Banu Amir.
Great content!!! I am studying Arabic and I am interested a lot in these stories. As you said, it gives a lot of inside into the Arabic society. Well done. My question: I heard Arab people say that those poets were so sophisticated, that there linguistic skills even surpassed the language of the Quran. And that it was known. What is your opinion on that?
Not true, when Allah revealed the verse: “And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant,1 then produce a sûrah like it and call your helpers other than Allah, if what you say is true.”(Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 22) Tafsir: “Therefore, this is a general challenge to the Arab disbelievers, the most eloquent among all nations. Allah challenged the Arab disbelievers both in Makkah and Al-Madinah several times, especially since they had tremendous hatred and enmity for the Prophet ﷺ and his religion. Yet, they were unable to succeed in answering the challenge”(Tafsir Ibn Kathir) Moreover the Tafsir Surah Al-Mudathir provides more information, and examples such as that of al-walid bin al mughira.
