This technique is indeed true! I memorized Suratul Kahf simply by reading it every Friday. I just discovered one day that I was reading from memory, Alhamdulillah.
SubhanAllah I've been trying to memorise for many many years I have not come far at all, I'm going to try this technique..... my dua is to become a hafidha Allah accept my dua and allow the words of Allah to be instilled in my heart. Ameen
Baarak Allahu lakum..It's never too late to start memorizing nor its necessary to set a time limit and pressurize oneself and then give up.. Alhamdulillah i am an indian woman started hifdh at 35 yrs and finished at 50 and am still revising of course and learning and revising sarf and nahw and InshaAllah balagha..
i bought a little book for a while but never knew what to write in it, i wrote my daily life but after months, i ripped all the pages and burned it and wondered what i can use the a small book for. well now i know what to do, jazakallah.
Alhumdulillah...it's true u recite daily any duaa , nd u finally memorize it ...only these duaas nd good akhlaaq will take us to Jannah ...may Allah accept our Ibaadat ...Aameen
Yes, you are right. I learn many small surah and verses of quran by writing it on a sheet, i put that sheet on my study table all the time. Whenever i got some free moments i just simply read it without intention of learning and wallahi after a week i remembered everything that i wrote on that sheet. The second thing i did on my laptop too, i put sticky notes on my desktop and wrote surah which i want to learn. I just simply read them when ever i returned to home screen.
I feel 💯 confident in this technique. I found writing & repeating since a child very helpful.....Now i need to carry it & not ky phone as ref 😊 Jazak Allah
Discovered your channel today, and beautifully said truly, i love the arabic narrations and poems you recite. May Allah grabt barakah in whatever you do of aid. Ameen. Grateful for the knowledge
Jazakallahu khayran Ustaadh. As an aspiring student and researcher in my career. The notebook method of memorising is very efficient and effective. I find that helpful for both deen and duniyahha studies. I also tried using the phone but it has so many distractions. So the notebook is the best method and once it becomes habitual, it becomes a lifestyle. Subhanallah one would be suprised how many hadeeth you can memorise in a year.
The time to read Surah Mulk begins after Isha Adhan. First regularly read Surah Mulk after isha prayer. It doesn’t take much time This commitment ease the memorization later. InshaAllah.
I have not done this intentionally but I can say 100% this is correct. I have my morning azkar printed out and in a folder and after so many times of reading it I have memorized it. Memorized in the sense...I can look at it and recite it but I haven't done so far as to know by heart all of it. Some yes. But yes what this speaker is saying definitely works. Alhamdulillah
Alhamdulilah. May Allah reward you with the highest level of Jannah and Insha Allah I pray that Allah allows my family and I to meet you there if we do not meet in this life. Ameen
A similar technique I've found is to document knowledge in a Word file that you keep in Dropbox. Then when commuting, or such like, open via an E-Reader on your phone so the font is bigger to revise. As an added advice, switch of phone notifications. Fix an hour at the end of the day to check on messages in one session at your desktop. It feels a lot more satisfying to do this. Keep your phone in black and white, and use Minimalist to use written lists not distracting icons for your apps. Jot messaging thoughts on a pad for your messaging session. Don't reach for your phone because you know you will get distracted by other things.

BarakAllahu feek. ReReading(passive) is indeed useful and it is possible to memorise but what’s even more powerful is recalling (active) , there is a difference between the two! If someone has a question about it I’m happy to answer it, InShaAllah and Allah knows Best.

One other way that can help hifz especially qur'an is if you have a teacher. So for example, a quran teacher which you repeat after. If you are memorizing fiq, this can work. Say your Wife is also a student of knowledge. You can both go over the fiq notes together and repeat it out loud. You can also test each other, like asking questions and the other person answering it.
It reminds me of something I heard as a kid, "a man/woman of character in Islam is he does what he must when people not present (or when no one is watching him/her) fore He knows Allah is aware of all he/she does. Nothing can be hidden from our Lord, nothing."
I do this in my mobile notes app, writing everything I find beneficial and go through it every now and then...will this be beneficial too? By the way Jazakallahu khair Akhi!

It is okay to listen to and read a lot of knowledge. But you must take a small portion and learn it thoroughly and memorise it. For example, memorise what you can of the Quran. And read the tafsir for the surahs you memorise.
