We had a 2011 Sonata Limited 2.4 and it was a great car for the 100k we had it. The AC was the worst part of the car, it was useless unless you were at highway speeds. It always got over 30mpg on consistent highway driving too.
That Sonata could be eligible for a new engine. The 2.4 GDI was part of a recall for engines made in Alabama. The 2011-2012 Sonata was included. Owners were reporting engine noise which led to Hyundai replacing them at no cost.
Big fact, I have a 2011 sonata limited. In my case my engine throw a rod while driving due to the recall, keep in mind my engine throw a rod at 64k miles, Hyundai replaced it fee of charge
The F-150 would be a nice project to work on.
The 5.0L doesn't blow head gaskets they were known for intake manifold gaskets
I wonder if some of these newer cars with minimal damage end up there because of the new car replacement coverages that some insurance company’s have or are they just getting totaled because of parts availability

Wow. From Randy's musings to the commentary here it seems none of you folks have ever seen a truck that gets regularly parked under a tree. That's how they look. It's a thing. You can wash it off, but if it's going to look like that again in a couple weeks, why bother? I'd love that truck and I don't even like four wheel drive trucks, but this is a 302/4-speed long bed, brown on brown, air conditioned, vinyl seat, rubber floor, AND it's got a tach and a tilt wheel? Heck yeah...that's my kind of truck. Head gaskets aren't hard to do on pushrod engines.

the blue optima could really be such a nice car, hopefully someone takes it outta there an fully refurbishes it. Its too new to be in there.
I think the jump pack is dead or the engine is locked up that's why it would not jump start the Ford F-150 but I bet vice grip garage would have that up and running in no time that guy's amazing what he can get running again and drive it miles
put a camera on toy car (car with remote) so you can see the lower part of car any leakage any twisted part in the car body

Randy those get stolen all the time in Milwaukee. Kias and Hyundais make up over 70% of our stolen vehicles last year

I have a 91 lwb and I’m gonna put new heads on it. I got a set of brand new ones to go on it. And my ignition is doing the same thing. I’m gonna have to put a new switch in it.
Those gdi engines are pretty loud on a cold start. once they warm up they get a lot quieter not ideal but hey it a 4 cylinder

If you were to win the F-150 and V6 Mustang you could take the 5.0 from the truck if it runs and if the engine Is-Was Good and put it in the Mustang to try and make it cool.

My grandmother's 2011 sonata 2.4 engine locked up at 70k miles. Stay away from the 2.4s

We had 2002 Ford Focus Wagon, we put 300k miles on it. At 75k miles we modify it. It did pull a 1500 camper across Michigan.

If that Ford truck went cheap I would buy it. Even if you have to switch out the engine, it is a V8 stick shift 4X4 with factory air. It would bring good money on the other side.
Man this video tells you a lot about the used car market right now. Buy new, even if you have to pay over sticker price, it's worth it.

I would buy the f150 And maybe put a 460 in it.
I put comp cam, comp lifters, comp springs, ford pistions rings and rods and new bearings and timing chain, water pump, rebuilt transmission, a stage 2 clutch better heads and used transfer case it was a good looking engine that was in it the engine had 27,000 miles on it when I sold it and had borla exhaust system on it but now it looks like shit badly

I hate Ford that 81 f150 is giving me PTSD that's the buzzing sound that stayed on after the incident on new years eve 07, my 06 charger rt was totaled by a 81 f150 the impact was violent I ripped his whole back axle out and busted his gas tank, and he was intoxicated and didn't have auto insurance, and he received the ticket when police finally arrived failure to yield.

Both the Hyundai and Kia are interesting cars. But look out with the Sonata. It could potentially have a bad timing chain. There was a big rattle the first time you started it up.
