My only previous experience was with the cam-style torque limiter, and this video was great for explaining how the others are different. I had no idea you could over-torque with a click-style, or that hand position mattered with click-style and beam-style.
I have the cam version. Sometimes if I do one continuous movement it feels like it clicks way past the torque setting, but if I tighten by increments, it feels that it clicks at the right torque set. Am I using it wrong?
I recently bought a torque wrench from the local park tool distributor... unfortunately I'm having a pretty bad experience with this tool. Mine doesn't click when reach the torque value... It's absolutely quiet... Could it be a warranty case? 😢 😢😢
I'm glad you un-discontinued (re-continued?) the beam style. The one drawback (viewing angle) is easily outweighed by their price and reliability.

#1! :) great video as always! Thanks guys!
I use the click style torque wrench.
Mine can go up to 25Nm.
It's the small version.
Merci beaucoup 😊❤
Thanks!

Is it the smaller one? We have one in the shop that clicks in 1 direction (counter clockwise) but not clockwise...
@_Zane__ sure, mine torque wrench is the smaller one...
Although mine click for the bouth sides
@@joaoquadros8675 oh, so it clicks but is very quiet? Probably a defect
Hi! We actually address this in the Click Type Torque Wrench video we uploaded alongside this one: th-cam.com/video/nc6fqnF5T2A/w-d-xo.html
@parktool I'm going to test it if bring any better
now if I can get a good understanding of bottom brackets lol fml
The multiple standards out there?
what about left handed threads?…
Fine with the clickers and the beams. Not compatible with the cam style which are one-way only.
@@mattgiesNot all click-type torque wrenches can do left-hand threads. Manufacturers would mention if it's possible with theirs.
Use in front of mirror. Problem solved. No I'm kidding I'm not sure
