- Seeing four Ferraris all together at Fiorano was an unforgettable and very moving experience made all the more special by the fact that they were driven, one after the other, by the man that test-drove them on that same track throughout their development.
We’re talking, of course, about the F40, the F50, the Enzo and LaFerrari, the milestone cars in Ferrari’s technological evolution over the last three decades, and the great Dario Benuzzi, himself a fixture at Maranello since 1969. The legendary Ferrari test-driver drove each one of the cars in order, reliving the emotions of a lifetime career with the Prancing Horse in a kind of unique technological time-lapse sequence.
Vederle riunite tutte insieme sul circuito di Fiorano è stata un’emozione indimenticabile. Resa ancora più speciale dal fatto che per l’occasione a guidarle, una dopo l’altra, è stato proprio chi le ha sviluppate come collaudatore su quella stessa pista.
Parliamo di F40, F50, Enzo e LaFerrari, le vetture che hanno segnato la strada dell’evoluzione tecnologica della Ferrari degli ultimi 30 anni, e dello storico test driver Dario Benuzzi, a Maranello dal 1969, che salendo in sequenza su queste auto ha rivissuto le emozioni di una vita di lavoro con il Cavallino Rampante in una sorta di time lapse tecnologico davvero unico.

Comparing the F40 to the LaFerarri, it is nearly impossible to spot how the evolution happened. But once you fill in the gaps with the F50 and Enzo, each evolution is so meaningful and beautiful.

When I was a child the F40 was my childs dream @ age of 15 the F50 became my childs dream, @ age of 25 the Enzo became my adult dream...... here now @ age 35 the LaFerrari is my current dream car!!!. well done Ferrari...and yeah I'm proud to be a FANBOY!!

these four cars together is a dream, still prefer the F40 but all are incredible

For me: LaFerrari>Enzo=F50>F40
Enzo and F50 are even, each car means a lot for me, I grew up with them and I spend a lot of time dreaming about them. When I saw the only Enzo in Czech Republic 12 years ago, my jaw dropped to the very ground. F50 is 90's legend, incredible high reving V12, huge character, manual gearbox, analogue supercar in its best. Enzo was the best car of the new era, first proper hypercar of 21st century and in these times, it was simply untouchable. That distinctive roar and screaming of naturaly aspirated V12, one of the best sounding engines ever made, pure symphony...it's already a total classic, it still looks like nothing in this world, it's stunning. But as we know, LaFerrari takes all to completely new level. I'm not sure if there will ever be better car in any way, in it's pure and raw focus, top notch abilities, driveability, engine, sound, emotions and desirability. One ultimate masterpiece from Maranello.

4 generations of amazing automotive engineering. And I think the music was a bit excess when you have 4 majestic ferraris roaring through fiorano track. As the f40, f50 and the f60 were the defining cars of their era the Laferrari is the defining car of this era.
Maybe Ferrari can make new film about...

i'll take that F40 thank you very much since it's my absolute favorite car ever and i would also like the LaFerrari fo myself. The Enzo & the F50 you can have them or i can just donate them to a good charity so i can write it off on my taxes next April

Its a funny things but one could argue, Although the chronologically these cars order from f40-50-enzo-Ferrari. visually the Enzo succeeds the F40 and the F50 preceeds the la-Ferrari. If an alien came down and was to put these cars in order visually.. F40 Enzo F50 Laferrari.
The F50 sounds the best, followed closely by a tie between the F40 and the LaFerrari.
superchan7 F40 sound is weakest, F50 sounds incredibly good, LaFerrari is even more mad and orchestral. But it's the Enzo which sounds best thanks to its pungency and progressive depth of sound, I really reccomend to watch some onboard or flybys. Nothing can match Ferrari V12.

All the cars are of course masterpieces in their own way, but the F50 is significantly ahead of all the rest in my view. It remains the most focused of all 4. The F40 looks better and is more accelerative but aside from that, I fail to see how anyone can rate it as a driving experience over the F50 based on what I've read.
How in the world can Ferrari top the LaFerrari? They'll need a turbine engine coupled to an electric warp drive generator.

It's a shame that Ferrari doesn't have the balls to put their new "thoroughbred" against the competition or even lap the nurburgring.
demonik200 Ferrari Enzo is fastest car on Nordschleife in comparsion with its old rivals back then (Carrera GT, Zonda F, Koenigsegg CCX, Mercedes SLR McLaren). LaFerrari time will be revealed soon as there are many LaFerrari owners who stormed the track this spring and they plan to return in summer on clear track. You can be sure that it will be fastest again on Nordschleife, it's already faster than the P1 and 918 on the Anglesey track, which is quite short and full of low and mid speed corners with few straights and RWD LaF still wins. Imagine what it's going to be on larger and more progressive, more technical track.
Radek Vinš Doubt it. You don't threaten your owners if your car is truly faster. Right now Porsche has the biggest balls of the 3. Want a car? Have it. McLaren and Ferrari both require that conditions be met.
Porsche Curves You can doubt anything you want, but you can't deny the facts. LaFerrari is fastest car on Anglesey Coastal in UK, which is the only track where LaF, P1 and 918 set their lap times. The rest of LaFerrari lap times will follow, including the Nordschleife, famous TH-cam owner of LaFerrari and 458 Speciale called Powerslide Lover wants to set fast lap in Monza, Spa and Nürburgring during summer. Paul Bailey, who owns all three cars wants to compare them in Silverstone. There were no threads from manufacturers, just incompetence of TG staff to make the track battle happen. TG Magazine (which was almost entirely separated from the TG show at the time) already managed to gather complete trio for the road test, Car Magazine compared LaF and P1. Evo Magazine set lap times with entire trio. No problems at all.
It's still quite a shame how long it took Ferrari to finally understand forced induction.
