I’d just like to say Alex. I bloody love these videos. All of your content is top notch but these team adventures have such an addictive quality that makes watching them brilliant. I just wanted to say thank you on the off chance you read this, I appreciate that you put a lot of effort into your channel and it doesn’t go unnoticed!
I do believe the lag was on your end since everyone kept lagging backward in unison. Every time one car would jump back, so would the others. Oddly enough all of that lag and on top of it, that faulty counting at the first race actually is what lead to this being such a great and close competition.
I'm assuming it has something to do with the finishing total race time for each player. The poorly synchronized starts messes with the starting of the race timer for the player (it doesn't start until the game releases you from the grid), and Forza awards places based on their total race time rather than actual track position. Because of this, if any player that's near you gets even a slight delay of the line due to poor synchronization, they'll have an advantage with this glitch. Or at least, that's my theory, if I explained it well enough.
@@stupidstormy36 It's a good theory and would explain most of these situations. However, I have lost a race on a custom course when the game randomly decided to hand a few places, mid race, to the drivatars. After rounding a few bends it gave almost all the places back before I crossed the finish line, ahead of the car that was currently leading. So I can't really explain it, though if it is the same system they use in Forza Motorsport that has issues especially on the longer versions of Maple Valley.
@@Finleymcg Custom courses can be quite buggy, especially the less straight forward the courses are, and even more so when they cross over each other or come close to itself (at least as far as the checkpoints go). I'd actually need to see the footage if you have it in order to even formulate a theory there. I've made many custom courses myself, and never ran into this issue. The only issue I have is the AI tend to not be able to navigate really tight hairpins effectively.
Last race was really good! Porsche was a good opponent, surprised how both of you got better as the laps went on and the Porsche did so well till the end. Both deserved. The 1st line finish too.
I did enjoy it until that end lol, if you want to know the Porsche was actually on sport tyres with the standard 4-speed box, doesn't get going instantly because of all the turbo lag.

You say this every time you lose position at the end, bud. The reason the first race was awarded to the car that passed the finish line after you was because his time was faster...he started farther down the grid than you did, so the game awarded him 1st place!
you really underestimate how important forza aero is for going fast, especially when horizon has a lot of long sweeping corners and having more grip through the turns is going to make you way faster down the straight too
axy general concensus is that a rear wing starts having noticeable effects at 40mph, and when you're carrying more speed through the corner you will be faster down the straights. Top speed is almost never relevant because you will never reach that top speed. Even when you are increasing drag, it is almost always worth it in any class, especially on a car where the Forza aero gives you more PI to work with.
Cars like Ninetails' MB are probably why Forza is the only game with open class racing. It's so fucking infuriating to try and beat a car that's almost impossible to beat

Not sure it’s happened to me a couple times in freeroan rushes mostly where 4-5 people are neck and neck and it just randomly assigned positions

you put forza aero on your cars much too often, for A class cars. i think the bmw could be much faster without it and doesnt need it in the corners
