EXTREMELY HELPFUL! I'm a cheapskate who buys jeans on the cheap at ... a ranch/farm supply store chain, usually at about $13 a pair. You mean the stitches? You could just work on the inside seam but it will throw all of your proportions off.

Oh absolutely, it would take minutes on a sewing machine. However not everyone has access to one so this is a good alternative.
