A player could be offside by 2 inches, but if you have the perfect camera angle to inarguably show that position, it could be both a close decision and one that is definitively proven by the angles. However, in this case I think the referee was right to retain his decision, because the camera angle wasn’t very good.
@@mbokgala6961 Neither NWSL nor MLS have the Hawkeye system that draws lines the way it's done in EPL. That system is far more expensive, requires more cameras (and they have to be calibrated). In general, the preference has been to NOT measure toenails and defer to the on-field officials where it's not clear.

Why don't they draw lines for these offside calls like in major competitions? Seems the technology is wonky.
