The black plastic on the part 3 is the frame rail. They used a dune buggy chassis and put the Delorean body on to do the off road with the 1955 white wall
These look well put together for the price, I would imagine you should be able to buy the correct decals to replace the licence plates.

Nice video. I actually got to ride in a very early 1981 Delorean a few years back. A friend inherited it from his uncle. He brought it up to Washington from Florida, where it had sat outside for years. He had it restored by a company in Seattle and I guess the only thing salvageable was the stainless steel body and the frame. It was a fun ride. Sad to say he sold the car.

I should've gotten these Welly diecasts when they were still around. There's a newer one by Jada Toys, but for some reason, they couldn't obtain the rights to use the DeLorean trademark for it.

Welly did make a part 2 version with wheels the folded into flight mode. I managed to get one from eBay last month. Still has the wrong number plate though.

i had gotten the 1 and 2 back to the future cars from welly at kb toys years ago. sadly the store closed down and i never got the 3rd one nor the original delorean non time machine that welly sold.
I got the first movie version free when I ordered the Back to the Future bluray trilogy (special tin edition) here in the UK. The box is in pretty poor state so I may just take it out and display it loose.
I just picked all these up for $50 aud
They are very similar to the versions made & sold here in the US by Jada Toys 👍

Great Scott! I have these in the UK plus a Part 2 flying version with flipped wheels. Check out the Jada scale Deloreans with lights - but only parts 1&2 to my knowledge. (1/24 scale but others at 1/32). Cheers!

Well those look really neat. Although the license plates being wrong is rather annoying. Fortunately it is a sticker that could be removed and/or customized.

Hey Tony! Welly actually did make a BTTF 2 delorean with a transforming hover conversion and the correct liscence plate, it's a bit harder to track down but I definitely think it's worth the effort
Adding them to my ever expanding wish list. Have you seen the LEGO set? ReAction/Super 7 makes some fun retro figures as well.
The ones made by sunstar ones are hard to get a hold of, wellys versions looks detailed 👍
Why do all 3 of these not have the windows?
I Have all these, of course there broken from some parts but nothing serious, the newest one i got was like 6 years ago, the one from the first movie
Funny the cars of movies like Aliens, Terminator movies, Robocop and Blade Runner which are just as bad ass just don't have the same fan response as The Delorean
Hello Tony! I liked your video! I want to share with you that, even if there are in two brands, and different editions you may able to get the 3 cars of the 3 Back to the Future films in scale 1:64. The first one is an special edition full die cast metal and rubber tires by Hot Wheels, this one has the correct decal of the licentplate, the second one, also by Hot Wheels is the flying version of the Delorean
My cousin had these. They display well as a set but probably not if you were to only buy one on its own. I wonder if they just moulded the BTTF2 DeLorean’s wheels in the flying position and included a small plastic stand to elevate it whether that would have increased the price. 🤔
I wasn't aware K-Marts still exist. They've all close up here in the US.
Unfortunately the K-Mart in my area went the way of the do-do a few years back, still really cool finds though.

Nearly bought these so many times, best UK price was about £22 each.

Like others have mentioned, i have had this in my collection approx 6-7 years now so its a old model, mines never came out the sealed box. I think i might break its seal though as clearly its not increased in value or had any kind of limited production run if still being made in 2020.

Wow, Kmart ....the uk must be where extinct USA stores go to die. Our Kmart has been dead since 2009, after literally being around since flipping 1 9 6 3. For thirty odd years it was out literal go to store. Next you'll tell me you still have Brentanos book store, Borders, KB Toys, B Dalton Booksellers and every other once great book, record and toy store. The UK is a bloody alternate time line
