I definitely LOVE what they did with Dropkick’s weapon. His cannon is literally a liquefier/liquidator that turns people into a grey goo. Reason why is because back in the 80s, many alien comics and cartoons portrayed alien guns on liquifying people. That’s just an amazing detail

Not only that but the movie's main intended audience is kids and teens so it's obvious they can't have a Transformer blast a human into bits and pieces violently, with blood and guts everywhere lol.
The whole fight between Dropkick and Bumblebee was so cool because they actually incorporated transforming into their fighting. Using the momentum of driving to transform into a punch or driving up a ramp to get into the air and transform into a heli is something the bayformers didn't really do. They may well have just been normal people punching each other.
Man, I wish Dropkick (in land vehicle mode) used his momentum to speed off a ramp, transform into robot mode, and actually dropkick Bumblebee. That would be so dope. What do you guys think?

That’s because Bay is a shitty writer. He directed all the original movies, and couldn’t help dipping his toes into the story for the sake of “good cinema” rather than good development. The first few films were great, but they quickly fall off as he shifts his focus to just making 2 hours of explosions, which is incredibly boring in contrast to a properly-written compelling villain in the same setting.

What I like a lot about this movie is how they showed individual lower ranking decepticons can still be serious threats and not mindless canon fodder in the bay movies.
Dude Cliffjumper has only died twice in visual media, Prime (because the Rock only did 1 episode) and this movie and once in the comics IDW. He was alive in Animated, but didn't make an appearance in Cyberverse and yet to appear in the new show.
Holy crap the fights are so much better than the Bayformers ones. Creative choreography, can actually follow the fight without the need of unnecessary slow-mo, and actually using the Transformers... transforming ability. Love it. Hope the rest is as good too, I'mma check it out.
Lmao you can shit on bayformers on a lot of things but fighting choreography is not one of them. Plenty of times the autobots would transform while fighting, bee, swideswipe using weapons while in car mode, bee literally transformers while fighting sentinel, starscream using his hit and run tactics. Their fights are very much more realistic to how people in real life fight, flashy moves and extreme power behind their punches added although, this movie has good choreography but sometimes I feel like they add stuff for the kids, like how bee gets thrown by dropkick and transforms drives around and jumps back at him, super uncreative and looked super awkward. There some really good take downs by bee though. In this movie bee is more of a grappler, in bayverse he’s more of a brawler that can grapple, kinda like Connor mcgregor, and I guess in knightverse he’s kinda like habib. It also doesn’t help that bee looks so friendly like a child that chases butterfly’s when he’s supposed to be a scout in the autobots militia… but aight

In G1 bee would often not only fight bots bigger than himself which was just about everyone by the way and win but would also think his actions through unlike some other versions of him and yes i am talking about the bay films i might have liked bees design in those but i did not like how they handled his character it was to different from g1 bee good but still different kinda glad most versions of him now are kinda a fusion of G1 and bay.
I think Shatter was better because she only kills humans when they interfere or attack her. And Dropkick was more of an ass because he kills humans whenever he feels like it.
They both pretty much represent what a decepticon is. Shatter shows to be deceptive, cunning, and manipulative. While Dropkick takes on the violent brute type seen in just about every decepticon in most continuities but still sees the advantage in getting his mission done in tracking bee with human help.
I just noticed how when Dropkick powers up the tower, we can hear Starscream's cybertronian voice - I think that indicates they wanted to talk to Starscream since he was in charge of the Decepticons when Megatron went missing.
