This is a dream come true. My two favourite 4x4 blokes on a trip together. Genuine characters, bloody entertaining, this is what 4x4action is all about!! If only the Shorty made an appearance.
Enjoyed the viewing 👍🏼 one thing I’ve noticed throughout watching several of your vids/trips… the undeniable "bond", friendship, you 2 blokes have.shows through in just about every shot where you are together. Admirable ….keep on Keeping it real.

I enjoyed your visuals down the Darling River as it brought back a lot of memories and it is so sad to see it completely dry in 2019. At least you had some water giving great camping and fishing spots along its banks. Back in 1983 it was a different story with the Darling in full flood affording me the opportunity to view it in a completely different way. My backup man disappeared down a dusty track as I launched my ten foot tinny into a narrow, fast flowing, bolder strewn, tree choked stream. Starting at the Mole River Bridge in Queensland I boated down the Mole River, the Dumaresq, MacIntyre, Barwon and Darling Rivers before entering the mighty Murray to finally end my solo journey near Goolwa, a total distance of 3500 kms. Here at the Murray Mouth, this majestic river disgorges its water, discoloured by the mud collected from over a million square kilometres. Into it drain a thousand streams, hundreds of creeks, and dozens of rivers. In one mighty unification, it then thrusts its contents into the rolling breaker line, re-colouring the otherwise blue southern ocean for miles out to sea. This journey left me with an appreciation of the vastness of a river system and its importance to this, the driest continent in the world, which can never be fully experienced other than by travelling upon it. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to witness an ever-changing river, its scenery, its moods and the wildlife it sustains on its long journey from the mountains of Queensland to the ocean shores of South Australia. It was also a privilege to enjoy the hospitality of the river people, and to top it all off, I had the thrill of another challenge. Incidentally back in 1953 I remember the paddle steamers plying the river, dropping off mail and supplies to station homesteads and also seeing them tied up at the wharf at Wentworth which is where the Darling meets the Murray. And who could forget the Sunday night dance cruise on the Avoca out of Mildura? Happy Days! It was also the time when Ford and Chevrolet ruled the tracks of The Outback and many an argument ensued in the pub over a beer as to the merits and demerits of each. I seem to remember I was a Ford man.
Honestly I'm new to 4x4, just brought my first Patrol and I've been watching these guys for a few months now. The amount I learn from this channel is unreal, for some reason I never thought to store my shoes in my swag bag! you guys are amazing. Thank you for doing what you do :)
This is the best 4WD overlanding channel I've found. Far more into this than about any of the stuff I see coming out of the states. Stoked to offroad like an aussie up in Colorado in a LC100, starting three hours from now after I drive my LC100 off of the dealers lot.
Hey Graham & Shauno thanks for the great trip story that helped me plan my solo trip in the newly acquired 2010 Hilux with gull-wing canopy - I just back home into SA after 2 mth Darling River Run from Brewarrina to Wentworth via main towns, sheep stations and Nat Parks - Gundabooka Nat Park, Tolarno sheep station and Menindee Lakes (100 percent capacity) were the highlights - despite Covid I managed to keep ahead of the hotspots and five weeks to wait (while I travelled) to get my pass across to SA - great people and stunning river spots to camp - John in SA
I love this episode. its very different from the others. you can see how they genuinely enjoyed their time, did things they like. and all around had a good time. much different from other episodes where they only drive tracks
Graham and Shauno are two great mates who just love to share their outback adventures and passon and how to get through the sort of difficulties in which they sometimes find themselves. Keep up the good work! Howard Mac.
Gentlemen, I seriously enjoy your videos. Although being from Mississippi in the U.S. its a truly amazing country you have and it reminds me of when my brother and i were younger and loved to go wheeling in through our land. keep the vids coming. thanks guys.
Cobar has special place in my heart lol I went on a random drive from SA in a express van and campervan spec'd it. The van failed me and the nearest town was Cobar, got towed about 2am to the Caravan park there and the owner was so chilled and let us have a spot in the park and was a great host, ended up selling the van at the wreckers there and bought a ticket to Sydney where I bought my first 4x4 - 88 Pajero with it kitted out and drove it the long way back back to adelaide via 12 apostles....It was a good trip ahah love the channel btw :)
I remember when I was about 4, chasing wild pigs in a GU patrol with my dad, going to the Tilpa pub, camping in a secluded area on the river, catching fish, living the life. One of the best camping experiences in western nsw, only a couple hundred clicks from where i live. Can't wait to go back sometime.
This was just amazing content, great jobs boys. Being a Bourke baby now living on the south coast, this episode brought back a lot of memories especially the last couple hours of the day in the out back, nearly gave goose bumps it’s so good. Cheers again guys 🙌🏽👍🏽
I was literally at the starting point 3 weeks ago, did. trip from Bendigo to Mildura and then followed the Darling all the way up to Brewarrina then back across to Cameron's Courner via Wanaaring. Did the whole trip in a Proton Jumbuck.
Graham has driven his GU, GQ and 2 D-MAX's on these DVDs and we don't post them in order. Some more Shorty episodes will likely make it to the channel at some point.
Another great vid thanks. Also you really caught the wife and I out as we have both been through that country several times, but never to Menidi lakes, so when you and Shaun walked over the hill and looked out over the lake we cracked up. We have seen much of Australia's deserts so being confronted with that view was not a shock but certainly was a surprise !!
Excellent Vid Blokes!! Two tips from my experiences:: Yabby bait:: Yes it can stink but some nice grunty road kill in your yabby trap is gold. Needs planning for any water camp-up but is self sufficient and eco. In glad bag on the roof or somewhere outside the vehicle is the best idea. Eggs in anything camping or cooking in general:: Always break your eggs separately than in a mixing bowl/etc with other ingredients just in case they have spoiled, off road would increase the percentage of stinko eggs. I use a tin mug (one of many I have travelling) for each "egg cracking" before adding eggs to any cooking recipe. Don't want to fook up that great meal on the travels. Cheers Gaz
@48:15 I grew up and live in Arizona in the U.S. and people assume the same. Just because it's a desert they think dusty wasteland, but there is a lot more water, and tons more life than most people believe.
It was great to see a bit more of our great country . There are some amazing people in the outback i love the show you all put together and with great advice keep it up . And yes Blue Claw Yabbies are great eating .
watching these videos as a 17 year old who has just graduated highschool just makes me want to get my electrical apprenticeship, save some money buy a 4x4 and get out there
I did that trip with my brother 40 yrs ago and all we saw were wild pigs i am surprised you didn't see any . Being a new south welshman makes me home sick good to see rivers with water in them. great video thanks
Beautiful job boy'z keep yah head up nd keep them series flowing thru ur my inspiration too 4wdriving you boy'z have ur heart set nd a opened mind too tackel anything coming ur way i hope too have the privilege too drive with u boy'z some day cheers boy'z
Love your videos! Enjoying the Dmax quite underestimated have 1 myself the 250Dteq (smaller engined unit) as it is known in SA, very comfortable offroad when loaded with OME suspension. Shauno looked quite disappointed at the end sorry mate nofishing this time. LOVE the full videos cannot stop watching the scenery and the storytelling and editing is legendary!!!!!!
I've decided to allow you to fly me to Oz so that Shauno and I can do "Iron Chef over a fire". Graham can be the chairman; we'll cook. It will be a sacrifice to take the time to come over, but I believe your readers and viewers will appreciate it. Feel free to have your people call my people. But seriously - great episode!
Lol from the eastern states, have a soft spot for turkeys and nice to see yellow have what appears to be bourbon red turkeys out yalls way! Really love yalls videos!
yetties? we call them crayfish, crawfish or crawdads here in California, and yes they are so damn good i could eat a bucket full, lol there is a big festival out here too, the Feather River is where we get ours
Ahh, I get it. Two more Aussies "throwing shrimp on the barbie". No seriously, coming from Germany, where there is probably not a single spot in the entire country, from where you could walk 10k in a straight line without hitting a road or a house, the vast uninhabited or sparsely populated regions of Australia hold a certain fascination to me. I hope to do something like this some day.
Love seeing videos like this. No thrashing, no rooster tails, driving like you recommend everyone else to drive. Really good to see.
This is a dream come true. My two favourite 4x4 blokes on a trip together. Genuine characters, bloody entertaining, this is what 4x4action is all about!! If only the Shorty made an appearance.

Denis Bartell Thats a hell of a yarn mate! Be a good book in amongst it all 😜
Just so you know our wide brown land is the 2nd driest continent to Antarctica 👍

Alex Ednie and
Alex Ednie collaboration with the expedition overland crew would make this a perfect show North America meets Australia. I would live to see it.

Go 4 it m8 and to have a trade behind u is brilliant u have the makings of a great life ahead if u finish ur trade.
Also people seem to consider a trade lesser in terms of money etc but tradies make as much even more than a lot of white collar workers.
