Been wondering why this isn't a thing with them. I mean, the torn and then tubed tire won't be as nice as a tire with an intact sidewall, but it's gotta be better than no tire.
Ronny is so confident, that makes the rest of you confident as well. Driving through that territory in 2WD, I’d be scared shitless considering how remote that region is !!!
Well done can’t wait to see part 3. Quick tip for tyre puncture problems easy for beadlocks wheels , bring inner tubes to fix the punctured tyres in case of emergency. I’ve broken 4 tyres on a trip in Africa with only 2 spares , it saved be in the middle of nowhere

Mate, i've learnt a lot traveling in South America and one of those things is to carry a few soldering sticks because you can use your batteries to weld. For less than 0.3 kgs you'd have a solution better than a heavy 2wd.
Should also carry cold vulcanising rubber that can get you out of trouble for all sorts of problems.... yeah i know you fancy guys have loads of spares but when traveling through countries that had never seen my model of van.... Araldite like product is another one, saved my ass big time up in the Los Andes, around the same time i learnt that my van didnt have any anti freeze in it!!

@@cannedgorilla1062 yeah. Maybe with huge reduction gear you could get away with using small/ lighter motors. Really only would need 2 of 3 mph for spots where your dead stuck, and the steepest of climbs

That Mits 79 looks awesome, I love my 79, I wouldn't swap it for anything. You truly wouldn't understand the love and appreciation for them & how unbelievably good they are until you own one.
I don't know why they're not stuffing unrepairable tyres with grass? Break the bead & open one side up and stuff the shit out of them until you can't fit another blade of grass - will drive like it's got 15psi in it.

Wow, wow and wow. So good. Looks amazing and difficult at the same time. Seriously the middle of nowhere. If you haven't been to this area, even non 4x4, it's remote++. Loving this series.
You guy's need to give the Camera Team a segment/comment section. They are the ones who give us all the vision of what you all do and also do all the same trip/experience as shown and should get some credit for the spectacular footage that they capture for us to watch. A Bloopers section would be Fooken hilarious as well as I'm sure there are more than few of them each day. Absolutely loving this trip, some of the Hardest country on the planet and yet no-one backing down on the hard crossings etc and a whole lot of skill shown all round mechanical wise, also loving the.... err "enthusiastic" cooking segments for want of a better descriptive, don't change them. Been watching now since Roothy was on the team way back in the day and it only gets better. As an aside, would love a Q&A on 4WD Insurance in one of you Shed Show's. Thing's like, Just what are 4WD's covered for under certain policy's such as Comprehensive ETC. There are some real shady areas that people might think they are covered for but are not, so an in depth look at such things might be real helpful to your viewers, hope you will consider this.

For these types a trips it’s a good idea to carry a heap of HD tubes, take up no room and let you continue to use half rooted tyres

26:39 that camp trailer is badass, it just needs small electric hub motors in the wheels, like a Tesla, so it can propel itself it the tough spots
