@@IHateTH-camHandlesVeryMuch just found this out last night after thinking for a while that distorted guitar sounds very nick-like and thinking nothing of it, but all it took was one google search. Fucking awesome cause nick is my favorite artist and these guys are up there too it blew my mind
What the fuck. I’ve been listening to ND and Bowery for more than a decade but I never caught that. And Bryter layter is my favorite Drake album. Thanks for pointing that out.
@@filip6994 this was filmed on 35mm film which contributes greatly to the colors depending on which stock was chosen (probably kodak vision tungsten film). and they also used a (physical) filter in front of the lens to make the upper part (sky) gradually darker.
I just discovered them and I'm sad to find they don't have any other songs after Lushlife album, it sounds so awesome and gives off Portishead with more ethereal vibes.
I think is a anti-war song, because they used a intro sample "no more war!" in the beginning and even the most lyrics say "another day, another world war" "gods on both sides" "like a 4 of july"
I see the PC army on one side with a Communist flag against a bunch of white guys who look like Nazis. It looks to me like the song roots for the PC crowd.
almost a quarter of century later, it still feels like it came out yesterday. It's so uncanny...
Well, some music never gets old.
bowery electric is so awesome i love them
They rule
I just discovered these guys, getting some good trip hop vibes from their Lushlife and Beat albums
Would always hear this as a kid and never knew who did this song, so glad I finally found it.
Love the sampled Nick Drake lead in! (R.I.P. Nick) Caught my ear immediately on first listen as a new release (2000)

So much symbolism in here, very powerful
It’s so beautiful. Such a cool mood to sit, relax and hear them. Thanks for putting this :) 🌟🙏
Thanks for listening
The colors are so beautiful in this one... are they cold? They seem cold, and I usually don't like cold, but I love them here.
It’s either the camera filter or color editing that made it possible

@@Cosmicform Exactly. The song actually criticizes both sides. It becomes even more evident in the video.
The video shows the commie leader using his people to get ahead and ditching them. How is that pro commie lol.
