Fall 1994,..just moved back up to Seattle from Eugene following a good Wildfire Season making $$. Went to see friends who ran Fallout Records & Skates up on Capitol Hill. That Weekend was the first time I heard this album,.. DROP
@@BushyHairedStranger While you were preparing yourself to do all of that, I was taking a shit in the bathroom next to the practice space where this was created
Not only their EP but also albums made impact on my perception of music. This genre is not very familiar to me as I come from black metal scene. What I discovered somehow similar is Boards Of Canada. I would welcome more bands of this kind.
This has now been officially reissued - see Bowery Electric's first self titled album on their Bandcamp page, which now has four extra tracks ;) (Limited CDs and vinyl also available)
Its been years since this flowed through my ears......shooting dope up on Capitol Hill in Seattle Washington fall 1994. Kramer(Butthole Surfers old bass player) produced these guys.
I sent a demo to my nephew and he says, "nice, reminds me of this...", he then sends me this link. Never heard them before but totally up my alley. Love how many great bands were around back then, always manage to stumble on something new. It's also good inspiration for my music project.
Great i have found this EP, but mmm... Bowery first shoegaze era is a bit monotonous and not much progressive. I prefer Robin Guthrie albums on their firsts cd's he has more atmosphere without sounding sordid. Beat is the album that breaks their rules for good, despite Lushlife should be named as another band (wtf they changed their direction, despite i like trip hop). This EP and their Debut, is not the style the problem doesnt annoy me to listen them, but their dynamics are "seaminess"
I love their shoegaze era as well as their trip hop era, they're musical geniuses
No one else can scratch my itch for '' Shoe gaze '' like these guys. May positive vibration render your life beautifully.
hoping the tiktok slowdive fans never find this pure art ♡
I didn't know about this ep until now...15 years after I discovered them. Always happy to hear more great stuff from an unfairly overlooked band.

Just discovered this EP myself today!! 😁 I'm so happy my ears get to hear "new" stuff from this incredibly underrated band.
Same it's been over 15 years since I discovered them

Probably the best band I've come across in the last quarter century.
You're god damn right, also check Beyond Dawn and Brian Jonestown Massacre.
I'm in the same boat. Can not get enough of their sound. I'd kill for a comeback album.

I love the fact that even though their sound evolved over the short time they were active everything they did was awesome.
Along with Paik and Hovercraft my favourite band in Spacey NoisyRock Shoegaze !

I never want to lose this feeling.
dont change your pfp then
sounds like hopelessness but in the most poetic and beautiful way
This album felt like it was over an hour's worth of music, and then it suddenly ended, and I realized it was only 23 minutes long.
I like this band.
you should definitely listen to their album "Beat" if you haven't already
I had NO IDEA this existed. Thanks for uploading it, you made my night!!
this EP blew my mind, need more of this

that guitar wall of noise is tasty

♥️
7:47 the instrumental sounds just like next to nothing
Reminiscent of early Bardo Pond....
Awesome EP, but I have no idea why this is compared to "dreamy trip hop". lol
Their album Beat is more dreamy trip hop
you got any download ?? I can't find the album anywhere :(
