BITS - How to Play 🎲 and Why It's a Gem 💎

This board gem is BITS, a sequel to a popular board game that was nominated for GotY, FITS. Both by Reiner Knizia and Ravensburger.

FITS got attention because it was the best representation of Tetris in board game form. BITS is very similar to FITS... but it's not that similar to Tetris! Instead of trying to fit polyominoes together, you're trying to make polyomino patterns with the colours on the domino-like tiles. Being twice-removed (and perhaps too-removed) from Tetris meant it didn't get much attention, and that's a shame.

I said at the end of the video that BITS is "super-easy to get on the aftermarket." I hope I didn't exaggerate. I myself found it quite easy just recently, so I was basing this on my personal experience. Your results may vary, of course. Happy gaming!

I'm really enjoying your videos! Dicovered this channel recently, and I am very happy getting to know these older/hidden gems. Not many channels out there that like to look back :)
Unfortunately, these games are tremendously hard (if not impossible) to get where I live... But I was able to get one of your recommendations, Keltis Card Game! So I gotta say, thank you for one more great game!

You're welcome! I realise some of these are quite hard to find now, even in countries where they were more widely distributed. It's important to note, this channel is not a buyer's guide! I don't expect or hope viewers will spend a lot of money on an old game that's hard to find. But if you happen across one in the back shelf of a store, or being sold used for cheap, you might remember these videos, and take a chance on it. Cheers!

Yup, was always curious about Colonia. I picked up the collector's edition for a very reasonable price, and as a fan of Dirk Henn's games, I figure I owe it to myself (and to him) to give it a chance. I have not had the chance to play it yet, unfortunately! Someday!
