So can I add an extra SSD on that SATA Slot?
I saw the same thing - and did it - yes it works!!
The foam covering the hole there is the perfect support for the SSD and I used a little hot glue to hold it all in place.
Had to go to the Asus website for the chipset driver for the SSD but it worked great - loading windows on a customers computer now!!
Have you ever teardown the new A3402 model?
I found that it has the same platform as v241e but when I remove all the motherboard screws I cannot lift the motherboard up.
I feel like the MB was stuck to something at the center area (CPU area).
Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you.
Take out your keyboard and mouse USB. I forgot to and had the same issue
it would be nice to see the tear up (reverse procedure)....I did open mine today to upgrade the RAM and the LCD panel showed a nice crack when repacked it. Now I need to find the spare part....damn BAD DESIGN!!
Oddly enough I followed this same procedure 4 years ago to upgrade the HDD to a SATA SSD and everything went fine
The heat generated by the assembly behind the LCD panel literally "cooked" the panel in 5 years of operation and so when I went to open it for the upgrade ta-da....LCD panel gone (yes yes, I took all the precautions using the plasstic guitar pick to open up the plastic joints , etc.)
Them Asus engineers should be blamed loudly for it. If only the factory was in Italy, I'd travel to their offices to show evidence for the cr*p they did. B**rds!
I cannot reinstall windows on this machine dont know why asking for drivers
Disable VDM controller in the BIOS.
@@avbiolog thanks for the help 🔥
