Great update! My 2015 Panamera has just 28k miles on it, but I decided to do all of the recommended service for a 6 year old vehicle. Tremendous cost savings doing it myself.
The dealer is doing the PDK service because that’s a complicated job.
Easiest part was the serpentine belt which took just a few minutes. The engine air filter was awful, having to pull out the headlights and the front bumper.
My G2 Panamera is available for any video use in the future. Right here in San Diego!
    Great channel. Appreciate the updates!

    Thanks for your video!
I, also, I have a 2010 Panamera S. I bought it last year with 65,000 miles on it.
Right away, I had the oil changed and the transmission serviced. I'm unable to do those tasks anymore, So that cost me $1,200. Additionally, I had the engine mounts changed and the water pump and thermostat needed replacement within 5 months of ownership. Those jobs cost me $4,000 total.
Again, having to rely on an independent foreign car workshop.
To date, after owning the car for 14 months, it has an additional 9,000 mi on it.
How many miles does yours have on it?
The mechanic was able to pull up some service records on mine and noted that many things were accomplished on the 60,000 mile service interval.
Frankly, I'm not waiting for everything to fall apart, like many foreign car owners do. I feel very confident in my vehicle but, unfortunately, I don't have the capability of working on it myself.
    Thanks again!

I spent $14,000 in my two years of my 2013 Porsche Panamera living on Oahu using mix of dealer and private shop. It’s like new now - had to replace all rotors, pads, suspension rubber, all engine seals, 4 tires, tranny flush and all fluid replaced, battery, central door lock solinoid, both hood struts, gas cap, door lock buttons on righ side, Bose amp and roof liner. U done 👍 Porsche Panamera is fave and worst car. Epic when works and advise buy new panamera or Porsche certified. It’s also my daily driver and also use as my kid bus. All the positive things you said but if service at a Porsche dealer - then have lots of cash. Ps - was owned by a little old lady and assume wasn’t driven much prior to me. I pray can go two years with standard Porsches services - I pray

Over the years Iv seen people get emotionally involved in buying cars that attract them and the cost of ownership. If you can afford it, get it. If you can’t, buy a Toyota that will almost guarantee to never breakdown if you take care of it.

Have you had to change the fuel pump yet? That ran me $4,500 on a 2011 Cayenne Turbo, sold it next day.
I’m moving back to Porsche after 5 years off the wagon. Would you pick a 2015 Macon Turbo or a 2012 Panamera Turbo? It won’t be DD, just weekend warrior.

No, I haven't had to change anything but brakes, ignition coils and spark plugs. Hopefully that's it. I would go with the 2012 Panamera Turbo. I'm not a fan of SUV's.

Then again your prolly a grown ass man with no time so I can’t blame u for getting it done at the shop. I’m 21 and hopefully soon I can pick up either a 2013 panamera gts, Lexus isf 2012, 2008 corvette c6 LS3, most likely going to stick with the ISF or vette but this thing is tempting me. Comfy, fast, good looking, not too bad to work on myself. I won’t be using it as a daily anyways. I currently have a Lexus is350. U have any suggestions my man. I’m skeptical of buying it. I know with an ISF I’ll never have to worry about a single thing and I could build it for an extra 10k and be faster than 99.7% of the cars on the road

question ; I have a problem with my 2010 Panamera S, for a week I been having a problem with the key getting stuck, just a couple of days ago I drove to the store, place the key in, and it doesnt crank, my key is wore down, should replace the key?the key doesn't hold in place, pops out instantly

    • @mikeshorsepowergarage7577
      @mikeshorsepowergarage7577  ปีที่แล้ว

My Panamera has the keyless entry option, so there is a dedicated key fob that stays in the ignition. I don't have to put key in every time. Your problem could be the key but sounds more like the ignition cylinder is wearing out?

As long as the price is right. With that kind of miles there could be some needed repairs.
