When all the hobbyists on the planet think the aquascaping is very complex, the simplicity makes the difference. This is a minimal masterpiece, congratulations!
I like to use mats of coconut fiber to cushion my tanks inisde and underneath. You can even crazy glue them to the back wall and sides as a growing media for epiphytic plants.
Simple yet so intricate and detail oriented. Just what i was looking for as i have a few stones just like this (bit different color) from tannin aquatics and was wondering how to scape them and do it well. This is perfect👍 thank you
Can i know if the termacoal is safe, will it not decay, and also please inform me why co2 is required for plantation, (i am very beginer for plantation)
It's safe. I've never had a problem. CO2 is optional, but plants will grow much faster if we add CO2 to the tank( Plants in the process of photosynthesis consume carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, if we provide them with sufficient carbon dioxide they will grow faster. But we must not overdo CO2 because we can kill fish). Of course, it has to go with proper substrate, nutrition and lighting. But if you are a beginner, try something simpler first. Some aquarium plants are less demanding and can grow nicely without CO2 or substrate. But they all have to have some light source.
Looks great! I would love to see a follow up, to see how the plants look grown out, and with fish. What did you stock? I was thinking this would look great with about a dozen pygmy corydoras, or maybe ember tetras.
Thanks. So if no sand is used, the substrate will scatter around the tank and blur the water. When I use aquarium soil, then I do not use sand over it.
This might sound like a dumb question but can I use a backyard soil for substrate & saltwater sand? I'm planning on building a freshwater aquarium tho. :3
I guess you can,but I never done that. Because you never know what is in the backyard soil or is it safe for the aquarium. Some people use soil for home plants under the gravel or sand. I only use substrates that are made only for aquarium purposes. Now about the sand. I think saltwater sand is not very good for freshwater aquariums, cause it can increase KH. U can use river sand,it's neutral. Some people say anything saltwater should not be use in freshwater tanks.(sand,rocks...extc...)
First of all, it is not a stupid question :) Yes, I have used it without any problems in several aquariums. In some tanks there is still styrofoam under the stones. I've never had any side effects, that's my experience. Thanks for watching! :)
@@vladimirstojanovic3603 thanks heaps, i've found the aquascaping community recently and am a little afraid of embarassing myself. That said, I'm really excited to start my first aquarium soon. I'm modelling it after a bit of a stone-only iwagumi style. 182L!
Can we use Styropor in aquarium? i saw few posts and they suggest not to use it, as chemicals are released in long run. what is the brand and type you have used. Can you provide some details on it.
I used just ordinary styropor ( not some particular brand). I had no problems with the water quality in the aquarium. Also I used it in my aquascapes The Islands and Stonehenge.
Very nice! But, I have one question. What is the use of those styrofoams? are they for the plants? or just to lift up some levels of the substrate? Again, what a very nice set-up. :)
Hey, that's wonderful :). What is the name of that plant. Where I can buy it? Any online store? Can you suggest me few online websites where I can buy sands and plants etc... :)
Thank's! I have two types of plants. Eleocharis acicularis (behind the stones) and Eleocharis parvula (in front of stones). I do not know where you are from , but I think Google can help :) For example, just type eleocharis acicularis for sale in your region. I believe that you will succeed in finding a local fish store near you.

BUT HOW DO YOU PRODUCE A SOLUTION TO HEAT WATER? I did not see any heating equipment?
I've been searching for Eleolcharis Acicularis but can only find the "mini" variety. Is that the same as you added to your tank please Vladimir?
This is eleocharis acicularis (not mini) and eleocharis parvula.
