Bro, you are so right about them batteries. I was on my way to work one morning going at about 45mph and just like that the whole bike just when completely dead ,at first I couldn't figure out why cause I had the bike maybe a month then I remembered what people were saying about the battery. Luckily by the grace of god,I was only a blo k from autozone. I rolled the bike there and bought a 75.00 battery and just like that every thing turned on back on the road I went and no problems with battery every since and that was about 6 or 7 months ago. So definitely change the battery first chance you get
Handy tips. I'm considering getting one of these to learn how to ride and also start to get comfy with wrenching on a bike. Obviously some of these tips aren't really relevant for a modern fuel-injected, properly built bike, but I think just getting comfy tinkering with engines/cables/etc. is a good idea. I'm a PC building dork, but for whatever reason adjusting a clutch cable or popping a fairing off makes me nervous. No different than adjusting the timing of your RAM or taking the side panel off!
ive broken several motor mount bolts, when you replace them, do grade 8 5/16 by 4 inches long. and put the bolt INTO the LEFT SIDE and OUT the RIGHT SIDE. that way the stress from the chain is on the solid non threaded part of the bolt.

If you're putting it in a boom Vader it's pretty much a direct replacement use a floor jack I also live in the 805 more or less at the north end. If you need something explained I can answer it. The kit comes with everything you probably going to need a clutch cable and I would get stock grom engine bolts there not to much to it. 👍👌✌️💯🍻🏍️⚒️🔧
I have the third mounting plate ready to go. 1/8" plate. I already upgraded the bolt to 3/8's grade 8. Should be solid. I'm fairly confident I can do it solo, but it would be nice to have help from someone familiar with the process. Crack a beer when it's all done.

my battery got cooked at 600 miles. first bike. too much fun. Rear axel hardware trash. no impact gun, just me. i cooked that shit. was i stoned and did i do the old upside down backwards tighen when i wanted to loosen. Totally possible. always tq-ed to 44. that hardware alloy is junk. thats what i think what the fuck do i know. need to get honda hardware or somethin at some point. first time i ever spun the threads from a nut onto a bolt that big before with my hands no impact, im may be crazy, def not a rookie. im sure im not the only one.
Crazy I have heard people have had some issues with that hardware. Fortunately I have not yet. I never use an impact gun. I use my five hundred dollar torque rench. A high dollar torque wrench is key for motorcycle repair specially if you own a harley. Lol.I have a good 1 for foot pounds and a good 1 for Newton meters and inch pounds. Bearings and axle hardware are on my mind to replace. But not until they start failing on me. One issue is a lot of people leave their axles and bearing to dry out of the box. I took all of my hardware apart Greased and reassembled . When I popped the bearing Shields, they were almost dry.Just a tiny dab of petroleum jelly. Even though honda hardware is in my future!!!!

Why do you have a oil cooler on your bike?
Slow speed riding wheels.
@@bikebilderbear6786 how do you pump the oil into the cooler and back?
@prestonshields1851 It works off the motor's oil circulation system. The the rods.
@@bikebilderbear6786 would it be worth it on a grom clone?
@@prestonshields1851 Two separate lines inlet and outlet on opposite sides of the oil sending unit.
