There are other reaction channels with hosts whose aim is strictly monetary and their lack of interest or desire to learn (with nothing intelligent to add) is obvious. 🇨🇦

Rick is a Newfoundlander. Even though they're surrounded by water, there's a culture of not swimming. Part of it is that swimming pools are few and far between (even now, there's only 5-6 larger towns that have their own pool), part is the chilly weather, part is the frigid Labrador Current bringing water from the Arctic Ocean.
It's fascinating, as not only is it an island, but most of the remaining landmass is a series of bog and pond. There's lots of natural places to swim. But people spend their time on the water, not in it.
Really enjoy your videos, love how you watch everything from Heritage Minutes, Hinterlands Who's Who, Concerned Children's Advertisers, to Rick Mercer, etc. Hearing your perspective on these things is great 🙂👍
Rick was always a great supporter of the paralympians, who left him in their dust.

I love his enthusiasm. This Canadian greatly enjoys his videos because of his many comments throughout. I believe that their are a lot of others who enjoy them as well that's why we watch. If you find you aren't enjoying his videos maybe they just aren't the right ones for you to be watching. Gotta find your happy place 🙂
