As he travels, Unclecraig happens upon someone logging the forest. His offer to help is declined, and the stranger unexpectedly blesses Unclecraig with an unknown blessing.
Following the road, he hears someone in a nearby residence, and wanders through a maze of rooms and hallways into the kitchen of Neokiwi -- unintentionally startling them. After making his offer to provide help, Unclecraig is rewarded with foods and the promise of a new axe, in exchange for four chest-fulls of sapwood and heartwood. Setting straight to work with his iron chopping axe, he returns in short order -- possibly hastened by the blessing? -- with his first load. Receiving a new axe, he then proceeds to quickly deliver the remaining three loads. When all is done, Neokiwi further rewards Unclecraig with more foods for his journey, and friendship.
