I picked up the Amazon recommended 4K Ultra HD camera to review. It sweetened the pot with a mounted shotgun microphone. Others will have LED lights, tripods, cases, and more. Many of the products are exactly the same, but with a different brand name. This is what I found with this Kiktek brand.

If you're looking for a low-budget vlogging camera I'd reccomend a pre-owned Lumix (like G6 or a G70 with 4k) maybe on Ebay or so. They're nearly arround this price-level, have switchable glasses (you can buy a f1.7 for like 30 bucks in the internet) and do such a great job! :)

I got it for free and it works fine as a webcam actually. I guess it makes my setup look like a "streaming" one a bit more.

I wish there was a modular large sensor camera built on a open source OS. With features including IBIS and ports for audio and Bluetooth.
It being affordable would make it more fair and an open source OS would allow frequent updates.

New or used camcorder (Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Canon) will be much better choice (for the same price or cheaper)! Build quality and picture quality.

If you are doing a simple VLOG, holding the camera and talking, this might work. I would personally look at lower end Canon, Panasonic, or Sony handy cameras. Refurbished ones can be under $200.
I can't get mine to turn on. Battery fully charged. Open the LCD press and hold power button for 2 seconds, nothing happens. Any ideas?

Just FYI --
The only reason why it feels 'sturdy' is because there's actual LEAD wrights inside this camera! I opened one of these cheap pieces of trash after I got it on amazon, just to see how it ticks and there's legitimate lead weights inside to make it feel heavier!
These cameras are such a scam.
My Canon HV20 (1080i) from 2007 has better picture quality than these cameras. The sensors on these cameras is so cheap and low quality, so color and contrast gets thrown waaaay off.
I heard rumors that the reason why there are so many chinese manufacturers making these cameras is to gather data. A lot of these cameras are wifi enabled for no apparent useful reason. Sooo....

If you want a good camera, look at Sony or Canon cameras. There are a few under $250 that will work really well.
I bought one to record my live music performances usually outside. I tested it out today, and it the video was ok. I was using my phone, but it takes up so much space on my phone. The video was ok, but I got a constant hissing sound when using the microphone. I think using the built in mic gets better sound than the external mic. I'm using it this weekend. If I don't like it, I may return it next week. I'm not super impressed, but for the price it's ok.
I use this camera for my podcast , does exactly what i need it to, films great outside.. not gonna be a proffessional filmographer with this tho.

Had someone give me one of these (no manual). Was hoping that it would be a decent webcam, but could not get that to work (again, no manual). Quality of the image is not great. Simply using a modern smartphone smokes this thing
I just bought this camera. I'm going to be doing a youtube channel for local dirt track racing, and wanted to use this to record the races and do driver interviews to upload to TH-cam. I plan to use the 1080p 60fps not 4k. I'll let you know how it works for me.

Thanks for posting the review of the product. The finding you made on the FPS at 4k helps me a lot. This simply would not work for the goals that my family has. It sounds like the marketing is "mostly true" in terms of the capabilities of the camcorder. Short battery life, 24 fps at 4k, and the mic is only so. SD Cards may or may not work??? That is a deal breaker for sure. Looks like you can get more out of an iPhone. Am I right in taking this as an avoid?

Are you sure it's the same one? You should be able to find a wide lens on Amazon (link here amzn.to/30jqeUC), but also make sure your camera has a threading on the lens area. If it does, look on the side for the width of the lens. This is important for the adapter.
It does have it, are they all universal? I mean, do they fit every camcorder? Or at least this this type of camcorders?
probably a dumb question, but where the hell do you plug the mic in? there is no jack anywhere on my camera!
Figured it out...it's supposed to come with an adapter, and mine didn't. Into the UPS drop box it goes. Waste of money.

Personally, I would go with the Sony AX-53. It's my choice of camera, and it has optical zoom.
I got one of these a year ago. Not KikTech but clearly the same camera. I keep plugging it in to charge the battery. I let it charge for hours, and it always looks like the battery is out of charge. But it's on. Thanks for your review. I'll have to watch more of your reviews before buying another camera.

I have the Sony CX-405 and I am thinking of getting another one so I can record in AVCHD-P with one and XAVC-S the other one the 60X Zoom is great and you even can edit what you record in the camera before you put in in your PC.

If you want people to see what you're writing, you might need something with optical zoom ability. I'll ask some teacher friends this question for a good option. This will work, but you want to keep the camera closer to you, and you need to write larger on the board.
These things are hilarious. Don't pay more than $69.00 they are great toys for kids. I own 3 of them. They are easy to use and fun to play with.

Your phone would be the easiest, but if you want something separate to that, you can always get a used camera. Older Canon or Sony cameras can be sub-$200. If you're not looking for 4K, you can find a lot of options. #THanks for the question!

You might be able to use it to make one of those videos for paranormal caught on tape. Low picture quality may hide strings or whatever and hosts will be like oohhhh wooow this could be real

It's a boom mic. Not meant for handheld use. If you need that, there are many options.

No, it is not. The video sensor is 2012 technology, whereas iPhone uses their own sensor, which gets constantly updated.

Short of opening the camera up and looking at the soldering, not much. Sounds like you have cross-talk in the camera.
Hey great video help me out alot I wish I would've watch before buying the camera mine is not that brand but the exact same model but from Zohulu, same everything except the the name and my fisheye lens looks a little different but my SD card or the Tc card one of them isn't working they came together I got the SanDisk 16 GB/ speed up 98 MB /s 653, I go to menu and convert card and new I go press record it say error , also bought from Amazon recently and there two slots one for a bigger card and one for a smaller card I have both inserted are they both supposed be inserted or do I have the wrong ones period?

I just bought this camera. Is it good for a starter camera? I am just starting to make TH-cam videos so I considered this one because it’s not to cheap or to expensive so I bought this one and I am just wondering if it would make a good starter camera I’ve never owned any camera before so I didn’t want a to complicated camera either.
It will record video and audio, and will be perfect for some stuff. I use the camera every now and then, myself. Just not for streaming.

If you are VLOGGing, or recording to post-process, and not using it in 1080p, you will be fine.

So compared to the canon g7x mark ii. Is this still a good camera to get. Because me and my girl just started a mukbang channel, and we are using a logitech 930e, but we can't quite get the angle right on our food.
If you're recording (not streaming) in 1080p 30fps or lower, it does a decent job. But I would point you to the Osmo Pocket if you really want to get the angle. amzn.to/2YKaquT

I purchased this camera and it seems to work pretty well. I can’t seem to get the display off. The date/time stamp, the FPS display and the battery display stays on the screen even when I try to live stream. Is there a way to get to off??

I have this camera in a Bensugo rebadge, its not to bad in outside light but I am looking for some crisp clean video. I just ordered a Panasonic G7 I figured it would be ok for now, I hope its not as grainy as this one. I got an AITechy which is identical to the camera you got, do you think this has any cinematic potential for music videos? And yeah, I know a lot of that music video look comes from the editing and specifically the color and film effects used during editing. and if not, then is there a camera at a similar price that could have that look?
You can record at 24fps, which can help with your cinematic look.

How to save videos
Would this be viable to shoot a documentary style project? Especially during the night? I'm planning on saving money and I really dont know what kind of camera to get. I have a tight budget in terms of for the camera. What camera would you recommend? I'm going to be moving a lot and want a camera that'll handle that.
Nightime shooting might be problematic. If you are concerned on prices, then what about renting?

What would be the best camera to get for the price? Cheap, but definitely usable. Or at least a middle price. Just that I dont want to spend anything over $800.

Hi I have bought that camera but If I knew before what is that product in real performance I would not buy it. Unfortunately I had no luck to watch this review before :(. First I noticed that this camera has not autofocus and also I don't see any option to set a focus at all while recording the video. This is I think because the videos are very blury and ugly. I have a much older camera 9.2 MP SONY HDR-CX450 and In my opinion is a much better in operation, the difference is enormous. I think the problem of lack of focus is disqualifying this camera as a camera at all because in that situation you can do better recordings with just your smartphone eg. Xiamoi or others within the same price range and Youll get also much better stabilization from those smartphones. That are my feelings. Cheers

Good review. I was looking to upgrade cameras for my podcast (Stuff I Heard) which can run 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on guests or topics. I was using a DSLR and just resetting it over and over, but it was such a pain I wanted to change things up. I tried with a GoPro 7 which was nice for video quality, and it would just save into multiple files without resetting, but it only records for around 90 minutes before cutting itself off. Not sure if it's overheating. The battery looks like it still has charge, and the card has plenty of space. I tried a Canon VIXIA HF W10 for longer recording but the recording is only 60p. Not bad for the price but I miss the quality of the CANON EOS T7i. Obviously it's a trade off. Any ideas on what would work? I was looking at these cheap 4k cameras but your review has let me know they're not worth the time. Maybe the name brand is truly "you get what you pay for" type of situation. What do you think?
I use the Sony Handicam FDR-AX700 amzn.to/2PQJhz7. Many use either Sony, or Canon prosumer handheld cameras. They have a lot of auto features that beat out DSLR cameras. #Thanks for the comment
You are better off getting a cheap 1080p high dynamic range camera. I have a pocket cinema camera that's 1080p and 12 years old and the quality is easily ten times better than any cheap modern 4k camera. 4k is bullshit man. Don't believe the hype. Either get a proper 4k camera like the BMPCC 4k or get a quality older 1080p camera. This is coming from someone who has spent thousands on cameras. Any real filmmaker will say the same thing. 1080p HDR over some cheap ass 4k bs any day of the week
I'll also add I have a ten+ year old Panasonic gh3 that's only 1080p and the quality is easily 5-10x better than any cheap lying 4k camera
