Chad's sessions, along with those of Emmet Cohen, are the real thing: just excellent players burning it up and swinging. I'm a trumpet player, certainly not in the same league, but I get off a good solo now and then.
"Sister Sadie" knocked me out when I first heard it on Horace's "Blowin' the Blues Away" LP. Missed the two shout now-classic choruses here, but I'm not complaining. Chad is always on fire, and everyone looks like they're having a good time on his sessions. Well done, Chad.
