They put an entire album on a CD way back when... the line up is flat insane. You know your band is madness when Arturo Sandoval is just a guy in the trumpet section.
The #9 on thr clarent and 5th on the Alto sax, i think the trombone ended on the 7th. (Last notes they played). That was wild, the Bass on the 1 the trumpets screaming the octaves of 1 and rhe 5th, 7th and #9 on the alto, trombone and clarinent were priceless
Fantastico. Please bring this band to Perpignan, South France ( contact the Conseil Generale). I just have to have to feel that passion and power - live!
Beh I don't like Eddie Daniels' solo. The melody is good but why does he have to go on those boring runs that don't sound good? His part at 6:20 is much better.

The one and only Gary Burton on the Vibraphone!! Amazing!
And John Patitucci on Upright Bass!!

The energy on that shout chorus, man.
It's a real all-star big band. Most of those members later become leaders in the big band world.
nothing like eric marienthal destroying that sax
A testimony to the always superb Eddie Daniels is the great Ernie Watts behind Eddie , visibly digging Eddie's solo.
Absolutely impressive
Trombone solo is the best
The one and only Dave Weckl on the drums!!!
Great cut!!!!!!!!!!
Que Gigantes músicos e Orquestra, show. Que privilégio este pessoal da platéia, são muito ruins nem nos avisaram.
randy is so happy at 3:30

Neil deGrasse Tyson plays a mean trombone.
Wang Lang Well, he DOES play like he's "out of this world"....doesn't he?
Hahahahahaha
Especially the vibraphone solo
Who is the pianist? Is it Dave Grusin?
Next is Eddie Daniels on clarinet followed by entire ensemble
+Vic Glazer you, sir, may not have won the internet, but you won a legit laugh from me. I would say that solo was "stellar".
Whoever disliked this video can go to hell.
LMAO. Indeed...
Donde cosigo este recital completo pliss...Gracias.
Patitucci solo, then George Bohanon on trombone
I didn't know Tom Selleck plays clarinet ... ?
Eric Marienthal looks like Bruce Wayne

What kind of mouthpiece does Eric Marienthal use on alto?
He was on a Beechler Bellite 8 at that time
My school played this song
