What a brutal second half schedule we had. For us to work through that hellscape and still be 7 games ahead of another playoff team in our division is crazy. This team is legit.
Angel Martinez is such a good addition I think he has a lot of potential, and could be the future of the team he is already a great contact hitter and with his frame I think he could become a good power hitter to
needs to brush up the defense, but you're right. he doesn't seem intimidated either. He played 95% of his minor league ball @ 2nd or SS, so playing the outfield is a new thing.
I've been a harsh critic. This game is the type of baseball this team dominated with this season. Play this type of game and the sky is the limit. Especially impressive given they clinched the playoffs yesterday and didn't let it hangover into today.
Gotta give this team some props as I thought with that tough schedule in the second half and how they played in July and most of August thought they were out of gas. I was wrong this team definitely had some mental toughness to keep pushing forward. They are in the tournament and playing hot again and that's what you want when heading into October! It's wide open this year! Take your shot Cleveland and make some history!!
I'm a lifer Indians/Guardians fans and became a fan of the St Louis Cardinals teams of the 1980's. (Especially when playoffs rolled around.) Playing ball as a kid I played SS and 2B, was not a power hitter, so the speed "D" teams of Coleman, and McGee, and especially Ozzie 'The Wizard' Smith were right up my alley. The only NL team I route for in The World Series is St Louis. I was not pleased Boston beat the Cards in 2004. I didn't care they won for the first time in 86 years. 2013 loss to Sox bothered me too, although the Indian/Guardians would soon acquire Tito Francona from Boston. I like the STL unis like the history with Stan Musial arguably THE greatest all-around hitter/Lefty Hitter MLB has ever seen. Also, the greatest hitting 2B Rogers Hornsby, although I understand he had a very harsh personality (to put it in simplest terms). Sorry, to see only .500 ball this year for Cards fans. BUT, love this Guardians team's resolve. They have been picking each other up all year, led by Jose Ramirez' play and leadership by example; and the shockingly good bullpen led by Clase with rookies Cade Smith, Tim Herrin and Hunter Gaddis impressively contributing. Every playoff game I see as a bonus I just plan to absorb and enjoy as it plays out. World Series appearance? Why not? And while you're there ...? stranger things have happened. Arizona Diamondbacks backed into the post season last year with 84 wins and made it to The Series! Heck, even the Texas Rangers finally won one. Cleveland Guardians turn?!
It's only been the last two seasons that the Cards have been this uninspiring. 2022 was the Cards franchise record breaking 17 wins in a row and Pujols getting his 700th homerun. Because they became so terrible last year, I started following the Guardians. Now I love the Guard Dogs and can't wait to see them in the World Series!!!
From what I hear, if we win the #1 seed, we wind up having to beat the Yankees AND the Cheat-strohs to get to the World Series. If we keep the #2 seed, we only have to play ONE of those two teams.
I think.......Guardians All-Star 3B Jose Ramirez gave his teammate a nice scouting report on Cards SP Kyle Gibson (who pitched against Cleveland for several years with the twinkies) and it paid off big time with 3 solo HRs and a nice Victory. Congratulations to Rookie RP Eric Sabrowski on picking up his first MLB Save. Magic # for the Guards is now: 1 (thanks to the Giants win over the royals).
Bruh cardinals completely keep botching and ruining their own stakes at improving the team every year they end up getting eliminated from the postseason

I agree wish we had another big bat tho
We definitely have a legitimate shot to win the whole damn thing. Love this team!!
as a dodgers my dad a guardians fan hope yall the best
Think you're right. The last time the Indians won the whole thing was the year I was born.

He reminds me of a bigger Jose. Similar attitude, switch hitter, very solid contact, all the hustle
He could be Cleveland’s goat at the end of his career who knows he has all the potential and he already has incredible intangibles
@@craigstrain1631 dude better get a locker next to Jose, sit next to him on the bench, and be a sponge. Nobody on earth better to learn from
@@TheKLeifheit13I agree
How bout them Guardians!!

What a team full of gamers. Wildly exceeded expectations this year.
Go Postseason Cleveland Guardians 🍾💂🏾💂♀️🗿🔥⚾️💯
Roll Tribe 💯💯💯
Indians have exceeded my expectations this season...happy days. 🏆🏴

Yankees always win bc of their schedule being so easy but they get paid more than Cleveland
This team deserve to bring a ship to the city of Cleveland
I really hope that they get homefield advantage so i can have a chance to go downtown and see them in October
You can go see them even if they don't have the advantage.
Go Tribe!!
Cleveland is rolling
Go Indians! ⚾️🟥🟦⬜️
Walker has never impressed me no matter how much the announcers try to build him up
"the lou" fitting jerseys because we took a dump on em for sure
I almost forgot to ask how far was Lane Thomas' HR that slammed off the facing of the Upper Deck? Prodigious blast!
Guardians win!
Avila has become a go-to middle innings pitcher
Guardians on their way to the division championship, and possibly and bye week in the playoffs.
u will get that second seed
i believe yanks won first i think
@@MatthewVasquez-x9s Guardians are only 0.5 games back of NYY for the #1 seed with 8 games to play, so either team can take that.
I grew up in Cleveland and NOBODY ever called it The Land. Does anyone in St Louis call it The Lou?
When did you grow up there because since about 2014 its been referred to as the land and since like 2015/16 Believeland.
People from the City been calling Cleveland the Land forever 😂😂😂
@@EarnYaBonez yea we was calling it the land when I was in high school 94
St Louis is a bigger dump than The Land. It doesn't deserve a nickname.... maybe Murder Capital?
@@EarnYaBonezYour forever's only MAYBE 3 decades long.😅
春先ビーバー今季絶望でも強かったね
Can we get the number 1 seed in the AL????...i think we can....we need Oakland to.steal 1 from Yankees...lol😅😅😊😊

what happened to the Cleveland Indians. Come on. Really (Guaridians) WOW
