This Warhammer tabletop adaptation is one of my favourite franchises, but this is my least favourite outing in the series. watch here to find why we're giving it 4/10.

Thanks. After recently picking up BB2 Legendary Edition and loving it, I relished the opportunity to jump into BB3 at its beginnings and enjoy the mayhem from Day 1 rather than being late to the party! After seeing this and several other reviews I guess I'll wait. The microtransation system is a severe sickening money grab by the developers and the Roadmap showing things that should have been in at launch, not arriving for another six months!!! Shame! Can see the heavily reduced sales coming real soon!
I don't know how it managed to get delayed. As somebody else said it seems like release was delayed in order to move things behind a paywall
Loved both blood bowl 1 and 2 but the scumbag monetisation in this one stinks. They’ll not get a penny from me this time as a rule
The monetisation I could ignore if the game was working. Even if players had a little variation. Or you could use it on any player type, or for any team. Sadly broken, bland AND monetised just doesn't work
@@PixelBandits That's the thing though - look at the teams available! They've literally taken say 4-5 core teams and split them up in such a way they have a much more acceptable roster of 11or 12. It's like they think we're stupid or something.
I know they added teams along the way in BB2 for example, but that entire roster should be the starting point for 3, and they build upon it.
It's a crime with a warhammer game to release with no races. Everyone who has even a passing interest in Warhammer - be it fantasy or 40k, is solely interested in knowing what races are available. WIth BB it's teams.
I think about Dawn of War 3 for example - Space Marines, Eldar, Orks - come on man - how scummy was that? Not even as a bare minimum Chaos.
I look at the "Chaos" Ogre in BB3 and it's not even a Chaos model ffs.
The mega delays to the game and horrendous state of the original beta speak volumes about there being issues with the development of the game, and while it looks not bad, its so freakin feature light and worse, so scummy with monetisation.
There's no way i'm giving these pricks money. It's just vile practice.
My favorite Team is in Chaos Edition, so I will stick to that.

The sad thing is that there really isn't anything to review since most of what you would expect from a bb game simpy isn't there.
It was a hard one on this end. We hate giving negative reviews, especially when it's a franchise we've loved for a long time. but a review's a review and when it's not hit the mark we need to try sand say... something!
@@PixelBandits It so missed the mark there is an argument to be made that the game is a scam - nothing was delivered.
Great review. . Really disappointed that BB3 failed to be that game to bring a bigger audience into Blood Bow.l
Thanks, Rushmere! It would be amazing to have a Blood Bowl title with a great online community. Sadly for most strategy games we love (like X-com as well) we've found it's always hard to find a match even when the game is great. Having the game be broken as it is certainly doesn't help
4 might be too high for this travesty. I'll vote 2. :P Even that's generous for what's essentially broken software.
We spend a LOT of time thinking (panicking and worrying) about the ratings here. It's tough as I can see why people would go lower and (with most games we review) why they might go higher.
@@PixelBandits All cool. In the end, they're vastly subjective. I just tend to be harsher, tough love and all that. :P

@@PixelBandits Lol. I might check on the game in 3-9 months but before that I highly doubt they'll improve it in any meaningful way. I'd be glad to be proven wrong though.
