Nicely put together. Like the combo of the build details with some riding. Looking forward to hearing more about how it rides as you get used to riding it.
@@SuperRiderTV on my ride with Matt and Bill, I stepped on to a comp bike for the first time. Matt's was a bit more old school and felt reasonable, but Bill's had a super high bottom bracket and just felt so alien. Seemed like that might take a little time to adapt.
Sweetness. Drool factor is high. Wish I’d been able to join you when you were up in Seattle. I’ll be interested to pack Peter and the gang up for a trip to Portland for some riding!
I only saw that bike in person once also. It was leaning against jack's camper while he was out of the comp with a mechanical. Probably not the best advertisement for Crewkerz that day. 😂 Jokes aside, thats a nice ride. Cant wait for future vids on it.
I'd be curious to know the height of the bars, and the reach as compared to your hex. Hard to tell because it just looks like a stick with a wheel on each end.
I have been considering a "new" modern bike as well. Do you have thoughts on the front HS rim brake vs disc brake forks? Seems all the modern pro's are back to HS rim after disc as the norm many years ago. I'm curious if you have any info since you have ridden disc on so many of the street bikes you are testing. I happened to snag a 24" Neon Wing comp bike that is also HS rim and comparing it against my 24" Echo Mark2 with disc front. I am surprised with the bite on the HS using Jitsie pads even on a smooth rim. Still decent hold and some modulation on par with my disc.
So many factors, truly. I prefer a smoother, rolling style most of the time - so normally I would opt for discs. However, when it comes to riding rocks and other natural terrain, the fear of smashing my rotor is prevalent. Power-wise, I don’t feel like there’s much difference anymore…just my anxiety is a bit lower. :)
@@SuperRiderTV yeah, personal preference and actual use matter a lot. Great point on the clearance/collision issue with a disc rotor. I somehow get away with it most of the time on my 24" comp bike, but it still makes sense that rim will be more carefree in that light. My only real issue with rim is the need to keep the wheel super true in association with how snug I like the lever bite point. Doesn't take much for my wheels to rub and be annoying even if it's not a rolling issue :P Thanks for the extra info and awesome videos. Slowly working my way through your backlog and really enjoying the detail and depth. Great work!
How are you getting along with the Long frame? Did you end up putting a shorter stem on? I’ve been eyeing one of these and I’m the same height as you, I want to make sure I get the correct size.
I actually just ordered one of the new "small" frames from Tarty last week - I think they will arrive in December. Truthfully it has been totally fine, but I don't think I did myself any favors going with the longer bike (I didn't have a choice anyway, it was the only one left). That said, Charlie Rolls suggested rolling my bars forward, which I thought was going to make it feel even longer, but it somehow managed to fix my wheel swaps and a whole bunch of other techniques. So if you end up only being able to get your hands on a long frame, you'll still be totally fine...but I would recommend a Medium/Small frame if you can get your hands on one. I'd try to get on the pre-order in any case, seems like this next batch is going to be spoken for soon.
Didn't I just watch you unbox an Inspired... the gold standard? This costs than an Inspired Hex! I'm interested to watch future videos about this bike.
Go for the Small frame! I started with this Large frame and just recently switched to the Small. That was the right call...the 1060 wheelbase is way better (and what Jack Carthy is riding now, too, apparently).

Thanks!! Hoping the break in and adjustment process goes quick! Very optimistic after these first few sessions..

Stoked to see you riding this! Congratulations on the nbd!
New bike day!! For real this time!
It makes you look like Jack riding - looking effortless.
That’s a massive complement! Thank you!!

Thanks! Anxious to spend a lot more time with it…even after the first ride, I have a good feeling about this bike!

Got another one ? Congrants !
Thanks! Excited for this one!
That stock stem looks like the stem on my '90s mtb! but you know, a lot fancier, just really long. And 26" wheels, lol.
Hi I’m thinking on getting a trials bike (street trials) and was wondering can I use it at the skatepark
Yes, absolutely! There’s a skatepark riding tutorial video on this channel, we filmed the whole thing on a street trials bike

Thanks for the reply, I’ll change my pre-order to the smaller size then. It’s still huge compared to my Hex anyways.
@@brandenlawson9465 Great call - you're going to be psyched on that bike. I love mine!
Are you running this bike tubeless with an insert?

Yeah! Hex is the top street and this is the top comp bike - so we’ve got the best of both worlds! Excited for more rides on both..
Is your GU bike for sale now?🙏🏻
Hmmm...I might hold onto it. Sentimental value.. :)
@@SuperRiderTV ok, I got it. I’m looking for such “antiques” sometimes.🙂
That is sexy! When I still had my trials bike I had a ZHI Z1- was cool but not nearly as sexy... Can't wait to see you riding it.
Thanks!!
Aaron, would you send your t-shirts to Germany??!!🤔🤗
Can I buy one of your older bikes :p
Haha sure! Need to make some room in the Shred Spot! :)
Whoa this is unexpected!
How do I contact you?
Interestingly enough it’s cheaper then Inspired.
Also that! Less parts, right? No seat! 😉
Hi!
I’m 1.7 m tall, so… S, M or L? Idk 😢

@@SuperRiderTV so u r 1.80m and u r on small better? i m like 1.77m so small then?
@@livefree6639 Yeah - I would recommend the small frame. I'm really happy that I made the switch!
