Honestly bought the portable keyboard straight away after watching this video. With work + college+ TH-cam I get so little free time to actually work independently on college work and with exams next week it was rough. Now I can make my 2 hour commute productive and work for me, don’t know how I didn’t think of that myself turning my iPhone into a laptop let’s me be so much more productive. Thank you
William Miles La Mont I can touch type with any normal keyboard and although it takes a small bit of adjusting you get used to it quick I don’t have to constantly re orientate myself I just have to start with my hands closer together as the keyboards smaller but I’ve adjusted really well in less than a day and feel at home with it Important note is that this isn’t the exact one I got I bought the Logitech K380 but I doubt there’s a huge difference. Hope this helped!
Yes, thank you very much - just a clarification though; is it something you have to press down hard, like an old-school Nokia keypad, or can you just gently tap to register the input, like a MacBook keyboard?
William Miles La Mont on my model it’s really fluid not quite like a MacBook but a really nice tactile touch. On Tim’s however it does look more thin than mine so maybe that could be the case
Suggestion to Tim Ferriss. Brian Blessed (British actor and traveller/adventurist) as a guest on your podcast. He is the best story teller ever. Here are just a few of his life stories: He shook hands with Adolf Hitler. He spent a few days with Agatha Christie when she was helping him with some instructions on how to stage her play in a theatre. He had adult black panther, tigers and lioness living with him in a house in London in sixties. He climbed Mount Everest three times. He survived a plane crush. He lived with gorillas and orangutans. He personally knows Queen Elizabeth (and has some good stories about her). He is fit as hell and fun to listen. His stories don't stop. Thank you Tim, and good luck with everything you do. Armands
You should probably make a video on how unproductive it can be to binge watch all Tim Ferriss videos without applying anything and just waiting on new uploads. Its the pickle I'm currently stuck in. Jk love the content. Currently reading through Tribe of Mentors.
Hey Tim, big fan! Two recommendations: check out the Microsoft Universal Folding Keyboard for a Bluetooth keyboard that folds to fit in your pocket and is even splash proof for spilled coffee. Or to level that up, try the GPD Pocket - a 7" laptop that again fits in your pocket. 8GB ram! I'm always writing on the move and find both these things to be super useful. Great vid!
He does these seemingly unbiased product recommendations every year...and every time, he's clearly being compensated by the companies behind the products. Search his blog and you'll find these kinds of product recommendation posts dating back years. (Any other long time readers remember the Rumble Roller?) One time Tim recommended a specific brand of canned sardines (linked to on his website via an Amazon affiliate extension of course, through which he gains revenue for each sale) and said how he ate them every morning for breakfast and poured the oil over his dog food... And then literally a month or so later did a podcast about how he had been intermittent fasting for many months and that he didn't eat until the afternoon. This is just one of many examples. Anyone who reads the blog and listens to the podcast will have picked up on similar contradictions. I like some of the advice this guy gives but I cringe whenever he casually endorses products. He guilts people into buying his book by mentioning how his podcast is provided for free, but you can bet the house that he's making bank off all these seemingly random product recommendations. I have no problem whatsoever with someone being paid to promote a product, everyone has to make a living somehow; but do NOT try to hide that aspect. Be transparent and honest, especially if you are priding yourself in being a motivational figure for millions of people.
Mike The Human Yep. Just compare his two most recent evening routine videos (one from a year ago, one from four months ago) and there's almost no overlap, and in both he spends plenty of time advertising products, casually mentioning how they are available on Amazon and linked to on his website or in the video descriptions if I recall correctly. It's that kind of stuff that makes me wary of trusting him - and makes me really question what other seemingly paid advertorials and disingenuous lifestyle coaching are being inserted into his advice to readers and listeners...
"One time Tim recommended a specific brand of canned sardines (linked to on his website via an Amazon affiliate extension of course, through which he gains revenue for each sale) and said how he ate them every morning for breakfast and poured the oil over his dog food... I'll second the Logitech Keys-To-Go. I store this keyboard in the middle of a composition notebook and pair it with a 9.7" iPad. This makes a compact, lightweight, and versatile bundle in my backpack.
NutmegPluto yeah it's one of those things that's pretty tough to really prove "how well it works". Like taking vitamins doesn't really change how you feel. The only anecdotal experience I can offer about the spray is that I do get over my colds, coughs, canker sores, etc. noticeably faster. Whether that's the spray working or not, I can't say for sure.
NutmegPluto have you noticed any difference in getting over sicknesses, etc with zinc? My doctor told me to take it last year when I was sick, and I just continued taking it without looking too much into it.
Not particularly, I took it mainly for hormone support (testosterone primarily). I don't really get sick much anymore but I started taking zinc around the same time I made a bunch of other good changes to my lifestyle :)
I have benefited greatly from deeply massaging my hands, feet and forearms the way he describes. Reversed my Carpel Tunnel, Shin Splints and Plantar Fascia issues.
I like the brown soft foam earplugs better. They are soft enough that they don't cause ear pain when sleeping. The silicone earplugs make my ears sweat and can be annoying to get a good seal.
His 6th item? A pinecone he found the other day. He takes it with him everywhere he goes and rubs it on his arms to magically heal pain through out the body.
Try a different foam ear plug brand if you have issues with pain, the first type I bought left me with sore ears in the morning but the next ones were/have been perfect, no ear pain and you can re-use them for weeks.
Dunno if you'll see this Tim, but I want to know where you found that beautiful Celtic leather arm cuff you're wearing while interviewing Gabor Mate? Can't take my eyes off of it.
Thanks for the ideas! You talk about your backpack a lot, might not be under $100, but have been looking for functional backpack, what kind are you currently using?
A banana is one of my best purchases I have made under one hundred dollars, I can't believe I came across one in the grocery store for good price.. I am very lucky
similar concept, except that it's just about products. still in early beta, but you'll soon be able to filter and sort collections by different metrics, making it better to use for products than pinterest. feel free to give it a try :)
Have been using that keyboard on my iPad Pro, its an incredible device and dare I say better then the apple keyboard cover since it doesn’t need to be physically attached to the ipad. Also looks really cool in red ;)
Tim, how about about some investigation into hair re-growth? I've been interested in dermarolling (microneedling) once a month to induce collagen and stem cell production. And I'm looking into using peppermint oil, rosemary oil, (and lavendar oil), along with more traditional minoxidil (rogaine) while taking biotin (10,000 mcg) and collagen peptides to add to my nutritional support.
affiliate link would have been nice for both mr. ferriss and anyone watching the video. haha some people have to advertise their links really obnoxiously and i hate it, but this is one of those times it would have made it easier for people to find these really cool things and i completely trust these recs so wouldnt have been skeptical of motivations here either
Thank you for sharing! Love all your videos and podcasts! I learn a lot from that! I have a small suggestion to your videos. If possible could you volume up your voice? As I am only using my iPhone speaker or my Bluetooth headphone, sometimes when I am out the street I have problem hear your voice. In contrast the opening Music is very loud. I guess the balance is at 0db, I suggest your audio can go up to 0db also. You can normalize your voice balance at Premiere to 0db just one click or just gain the sound of the clips. Thank so much
I find that audiobooks don't really work with Tim as he mentions so many websites and links, it turns into a long list of 'www.whateverthing.com' and constantly interrupts the flow of the audio. Seems to better reading the book.
Hey Tim, were all these videos you’ve been putting out recently filmed on the same day? Or just multiples of the same shirt to combat decision fatigue?
Here are the Amazon links to products he has mentioned. 1) Sitka Dakota Beanie Hat prourls.co/wz4u 2) Thera Zinc Spray prourls.co/z7v6 3) Rubs device prourls.co/n1ay 4) Logitech Keys-To-Go Keyboard prourls.co/hozw 5) Max pillow soft silicone ear plug prourls.co/2pc0

Can you tell us how comfortable it is to type on? Can you touch-type with it or do you need to constantly reorient yourself with the keys?
William Miles La Mont I can touch type with any normal keyboard and although it takes a small bit of adjusting you get used to it quick I don’t have to constantly re orientate myself I just have to start with my hands closer together as the keyboards smaller but I’ve adjusted really well in less than a day and feel at home with it

I use similar with Google Doc apps on my iPhone
Yes, thank you very much - just a clarification though; is it something you have to press down hard, like an old-school Nokia keypad, or can you just gently tap to register the input, like a MacBook keyboard?
William Miles La Mont on my model it’s really fluid not quite like a MacBook but a really nice tactile touch. On Tim’s however it does look more thin than mine so maybe that could be the case
Tim, you and your work saved and changed my life. I am not exaggerating when I say this. Thank You.
How did it change your life?
and more importantly, how did his work save your life?
i'd like to hear more about how he saved u
Wow. My boy looks like a white Terry Crews.
Forrest McCloud he holds up shit the same way, and does look like an emaciated no melanin version, all he needs to do is yell more
once seen it cant be unseen
Yes, yes he certainly does. I noticed that too when watching this video. The beard makes the resemblance stand out even more.
Dude wtf I can kinda see that good eye
Terry Crews is so awesome. Maybe he can train Tim

I am a simple man. Tim says to buy it, I buy it
OfficialBarstarzz I would say beware of being too simple, but it's Tim fucking Ferris. I have no argument 👍😂
Dumbest shit i ever heard but funny nonetheless.
OfficialBarstarzz you must be very rich... Or formally rich..
Barry Irlandi the products are all under $100....
I too am a simple man. I don't type in restaurants. I eat.
"A crack head staring at my iced tea for 2 hours straight" 😂😂😂

Everything he mentioned except for the keyboard was unbranded.
Michael Reed wrong. Rewatch it. Right off the bat, the hat is a brand.
He went big on Apple cider vinegar for a while there
Mike The Human Yep. never seems quite natural

Just received the book and I am enjoying it. Worth the purchase.
Good video but it would make sense to link the products as well :)
You could also use bing, yahoo, lycos or go and ask somebody.
Would make sense for him too if he used affiliate links :)
easier for everyone, more money for him. Just saying.
Hi
Ne Mann, der braucht sowas nicht ;)
Ho
Ja, ist mir schon klar :D Danke für das Abo :)
Yes. I expected it in the desc. Easy to use on a phone.
Tim, you are my master! your new book is awesome, I loved this question.
Thank you for your good job. AWESOME
It's amazing how you make videos that are straight up advertisements but people love them and are entertained by them
I'll second the Logitech Keys-To-Go. I store this keyboard in the middle of a composition notebook and pair it with a 9.7" iPad. This makes a compact, lightweight, and versatile bundle in my backpack.
That zinc spray is actually amazing. Something about just spraying a mist in your mouth vs taking a tablet is just so much easier
I'm sure I read that oral zinc spray is ineffective but I've heard anecdotal evidence of the contrary
I already take zinc in pill form, the spray does look more convenient. Hate having to take loads of supplements as pills daily
SO TRUE those earplugs! I couldn’t believe how much better they were than horrible foam.
That keyboard is awesome. I know what's going on my Christmas list. Anything to make me more productive.
Shameless product marketing at its finest. Love it!
I loved reading other peoples responses to that question in your book! It's nice to hear your answer, too.
I love that Molly is mentioned in the podcast and makes appearances on your youtube channel.
That round ball sounds amazing. Any links to where you can buy it from?
*Financial Fitness: Personal Finance and Investing Videos*
Genuine guy. Respect from me!
Hi, for how long do you roll the ball, more or less? thank you very much for your tips, Tim.
I love your new book.
I would like to hear you cover more on traveling. What to pack, how to plan, where to go / not go.
I have an older model of the Logitech To Go Keyboard and it is indeed fantastic.
I like the brown soft foam earplugs better. They are soft enough that they don't cause ear pain when sleeping. The silicone earplugs make my ears sweat and can be annoying to get a good seal.
Are there the Amazon links to buy ?
Ear Plugs! Omg - I travel for work and ear plugs are my secret weapon. I use the exact sand plugs. I can sleep anywhere - including on planes.
Love the keyboard Tim thanks for the suggestion
His 6th item? A pinecone he found the other day. He takes it with him everywhere he goes and rubs it on his arms to magically heal pain through out the body.
Try a different foam ear plug brand if you have issues with pain, the first type I bought left me with sore ears in the morning but the next ones were/have been perfect, no ear pain and you can re-use them for weeks.
We need an updated version!
i hate you

Still interested in the back pack...
Love these tips, easy wins. Thanks!
Tribes of mentors is a great book, just for people who wants to be in motion!
Another solid purchase under $100 is a personal blender. you’d be surprised by how much you can save and how healthy you can become.
how do you get that over 2oz spray bottle thru security? it looks like 5 oz.
I have those - the best ear plugs! Will consider the rest - especially the rubz device 👍🏾🙏🏾✌🏾

wanttoloveasitis Mack’s pillow soft silicone earplugs - 6 pairs for $4 on Amazon.
I got that 2.27 ball from Petsmart. It also lights up and bounces. It cost 3 bucks. Earbuds are great!

What is the name of the "Ear Plugs" ?
After watching this in 2020, I better get to ordering some of that Zinc spray.
I was missing these suggestions. No one research and test like my friend Timmy!
A banana is one of my best purchases I have made under one hundred dollars, I can't believe I came across one in the grocery store for good price.. I am very lucky
Wow, great advice!
Please put a list of the items shown, that would be very useful!
www.monote.io/collections/55
Thank you. How is your site different from Pinterest?
similar concept, except that it's just about products. still in early beta, but you'll soon be able to filter and sort collections by different metrics, making it better to use for products than pinterest. feel free to give it a try :)
Def getting one of those keyboards. Thanks!!
Omg I have the keyboard! Yay I feel my choice is validated
"A crack staring at iced tea" just gold
Thanks for all your advice!
Love the keys-to-go. Tim, do you put the keyboard up at an angle of some sort, or straight flat on the table? Thanks!
Tim looking like a pick up artist!
Love the content! (The second camera is not matching on colorgrade! Lemme know if you need help! Looks a little green!)
Awesome stuff Tim 😊
Is Tim turning into Neil Straus?
Heisenberg
Captain Flint
Bullseye
Have been using that keyboard on my iPad Pro, its an incredible device and dare I say better then the apple keyboard cover since it doesn’t need to be physically attached to the ipad. Also looks really cool in red ;)
Thanks Tim. Big help. 👌👌
Tim, how about about some investigation into hair re-growth?
I've been interested in dermarolling (microneedling) once a month to induce collagen and stem cell production. Who needs hair...it serves no purpose
Can’t find this rubs device thing anywhere
love the book timmy!

Love what you do.
Looking forward to the next increment, Tim! ($150? $200...?)
Thank you for sharing! Love all your videos and podcasts! I learn a lot from that!

more of these useful product videos please!!
Why are there not links to these items in the comments?
Tim, how is this book different from Tools of Titans? Thanks
Someone should make a parody video of Tim giving advice, would be funny xD! Love the book! Already made lots of notes! Very helpful ideas
Instead of leaning your phone against iced tea glass, get yourself a $10 pop socket :) they're amazing
No links below the video? :(
I like that keyboard
Great book
whats the difference between Tribe of mentors and Tools of the Titans?
i have actually gotten used to typing on my phone and now like it better than actual keyboard! it seems faster....

do we ever get an audiobook for tribe of mentors?
I find that audiobooks don't really work with Tim as he mentions so many websites and links, it turns into a long list of 'www.whateverthing.com' and constantly interrupts the flow of the audio. Seems to better reading the book.
Hey Tim, were all these videos you’ve been putting out recently filmed on the same day? Or just multiples of the same shirt to combat decision fatigue?
Any chance we could get a video laying out your favorite purchases under $1,000?
loved the travel tips!
max collosoft silicone putty? I can't find this on Amazon

Hey Tim i am a fan and thanks for yor great work , but recommending those earplugs really lost trust thay are in my opinion crap that does not insulate sound. ha have bought some of your recommondations ie Excoffio boxer etc thats been great . but just as many things have been useless.
