I have never heard a version that I liked outside of the original. Even when Kidd Funkadelic plays it, it is to fast. The faster you play it, the more you kill the emotion. Well, this lady understands this song. She knows it is all about soul and heart.....not technical ability. It is a song that reveals the inner-quality of human existence. Ms. Haydn, great job!

Eddie Hazel used to put a crazy amount of relief (bow) in his Strat necks knowing they would play stiffer. He felt he could only say everything he wanted to say with a guitar if it was fighting him a little bit. But I don't like this cover of the song or any cover of it for that matter.

Technical expertise, which Ms.Hayden displays, shows talent. Such talent is rare but not beyond our own assessment and understanding. It is essentially a relatively unique physical ability. Her ability to convey the emotion in the song, however, is beyond that, not definable, which only the extraordinary can convey. That is apparent while watching the video, but more so if the listener closes his or her eyes and just listens. A friend of mine once said that, if a person thinks a song is too short, that exemplifies an extraordinarily great song. That applies here.
