Gentle nudges, live by example and be patient...people tend to do the best they can with where they are at. I hear you though.

The wealth of this nation flows through the market Garrett. The economic boom we're presently experiencing is due to the economic policies in place. Will it eventually end? Sure. What goes up must come down; it's a univeral law. However, what you say about investing has some truth but it's not completely accurate. People fall when it comes to purchasing financial assets because they do not know how to VALUE an asset. This applies to those entrusted as a fiduciary. Which is why a lot of people get burned. The market like anything is there to serve you. If you are in the habit of buying a good at five or ten times it's actual value, you'll go broke very quickly. If on the other hand you purchase that same good at a fraction of its real value, you'll become incredibly rich. You have to learn how to value assets.

I think this is a great point. I really like what Phil Town teaches on this topic. Most don’t look to value, they just dollar cost average and put it in a mutual fund- that isn’t the best idea in my estimation.

@@GarrettGundersonTV To really appreciate "intrinsic value," you have to read Ben Graham's book Security Analysis. It's well worth the time to read it. Cheers mate. Happy New Year!

Daniel David just remember this what goes down, something else goes up, and nothing ever stays down.
