  • With this tutorial, you will learn the thrust or barracuda, a figure where you rise above the water while upside-down.
    The scull technique shown in this video is very easy to learn based on my coaching experience. This simplified variation helps to keep the balance in vertical, and it is less demanding in terms of arms and core strength and hamstrings flexibility. It will enable you to get out to the hips. To adapt this technique to a beginner's level, I applied the German teaching and learning concept "vertikale didaktische Reduktion" (vertical didactic reduction).
    However, this technique is not useful for advanced swimmers that aim to get more hight (over hips). If this is your goal, you can find great tips from Andrea Fuentes in:

    You can find further land and water drills to improve the roll-up in:

    Thank you so much for this! I’m not a winter synchro swimmer so all the knowledge I get is from TH-cam videos, yours is the best so far!

    Yours are the best lessons I have seen yet on TH-cam, as the pictures underwater and instruction are so clear.

      @@artisticswim_adri that is alright. I just happen to like the colour pink. Your pink bathing cap really suits you. You look cute underwater with your pink bathing cap on.

    do you release all ur breath and only hold 10% of oxygen? or full 100% oxygen?

    • @artisticswim_adri
      @artisticswim_adri  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thank you for your question! When using the Barracuda, I maintain 100% oxygen without releasing my breath at all ;-)

    are you a synchronized swimmer? Because it doesnt look like a good barracuda. maybe its because of the waves, but it wasnt high, and it should be faster, also, when you are going down you should let your hands up

      Thank you for your comment, @miraculousalba3252! The barracuda I am teaching in this tutorial is a simplified variation for leisure artistic swimming. You are right that I haven't talked about my artistic swimming background yet, I definitely should make a video about that!

    Do you wear nose plug for all ur moves?

    • @artisticswim_adri
      @artisticswim_adri  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your question! Yes, I am wearing a nose plug for all my moves here. For learning, you should definitely wear it at all times for maximum comfort. I will include this info in the "recommended materials" of future tutorials!
