That didn't work. My 2012 is a plain Jane truck. It doesn't even have cruise control. I tried tapping brake 3 times n holding but didn't work. Tried it 3 times. Any other suggestions

Dosent work... you need to tape the gas pedal 3 times and hold for 10sec then start the vehicle
