      Thank you very much for your constructive feedback! I will absolutely ensure that going forward in all my videos, I’ll suggest the best alternatives for all the ingredients I may use that are not within easy accessibility to all my viewers internationally. Thank you for staying tuned, and I appreciate all the feedback! With that said, let me suggest a great alternative for “whentia” AKA grains of selim, would be cloves, or cinnamon.. thanks again!! 🙏🏿🙏🏿

    Is the mixture a tomato mixture or palmoil?

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No palm oil in this recipe. No tomatoes either. The reddish color is from the 2 guajillo peppers
      2 tablespoons of ginger
      3 whentia AKA negro pepper/grains of selim
      2 shallots. Check the discription box for very useful information on the recipe. Thank you dear 🙏🏿

    Is this bread savoury and sweet? I'm diabetic, can I use green plantain?

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, it is savory and sweet at the same time. I don't recommend the green plantain for this recipe. For a diabetic, you may try using the just ripe plantain, not the over ripened as the more ripened the plantain, the more the sugar content. Also, ripened plantain is one of those ingredients with a low glycemic index, and enjoying it in moderation is always key :-). Thank you Madeline Hall for your great question!!

    Nana,Where to I get the big brown wahiro peppers 🌶

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Guajillo peppers (pronounced "wahiyo") is typically found in any Latin grocery shop. So if you visit, for instance a Mexican grocery shop, you should find this pepper in abundance. Alternatively, you may substitute with Chili powder which you can find at any local grocery shop. Thanks you Agnes :-)

    It's not called brodo ngo.It's "Boodoo ngo"in fante.Please correct it."Brodo is not a fante word.Bread in fante is called"paanoo"."Boodoo ngo"is a typical fante food old padies like us have been preparing over the years.
