I had a similar experience growing up in a United Methodist Church. I never doubted that Jesus died for the world and rose again the 3rd day but they never taught how to personally apply that to your life. I didn't know about repentance and being born again. I am so glad I finally learned that as an adult. What an amazing difference!

That's exactly right my brother, you are speaking the truth. The most dangerous time in a young Christians life is when they are under the five fold ministry Eph 4:11. The sooner you get filled with God's Spirit, the better, for thus saith the LORD; "Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm..." Jer. 17:5
Friends, never underestimate Satan's cunningness to deceive. Jesus said that the false vine would be so close to the real thing in the last days, that if it were possible, it would even deceive the very elect. Take care that no one deceives you. Your road to Heaven does not start by becoming a church member; or by enrolling in a Bible college or a university - it starts in the privacy of your room - on you knees!

I went to a church recently where they allow New Age gurus who speak Christianese and distort God's truth to meet their own subterfuge. As a result of my speaking out against the program I was not allowed to participate in any activities in the church and was frowned upon as a troublemaker. These people according to 2 Timothy 3 verse 2 are lovers of their own selves, false accusers, despises of those that are good, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying the power of the gospel. Paul told Timothy to turn away from such people.

People need to read the Bible and find out how we got it and who died so we could read it in English. A study of "versions" is also revealing. Genuine believers cannot be deceived because they know and love the Truth, which is found in God's Word -- The Holy Bible.

    • @cblackink

      Amen!

    • @leighb.-jg7bj
      @leighb.-jg7bj หลายเดือนก่อน

@@thevintagefetcher People should research how all the "versions" came to be, when and why, and make their own decision about which version. The question one should ask oneself is, "do I believe that I have the very Word of God in my hands, translated accurately into English by Spirit-led men of God, or do I have something else?
In a fake church I attended recently, we/they were singing a ridiculously upbeat son with the lyric, "...though he slay me yet will I praise Him!! Sounds pleasant enough, but that portion of the scripture in my bible reads, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him..."
While martyrs have been known to sing praises at their death, and I think I would, the issue is trust. I think of all those young people at that fake church who are being encouraged to praise someone they have never been taught to trust. Firstly, without faith (trust) it is impossible to please Him and secondly, who would sing praise to a God they don't trust when their head is on the chopping block? Trust is everything and any song or bible version that changes the wording in that verse and all others has changed what God wants us to know.
I trust and believe every jot and title in my bible as the very Word of God. If anyone's version differs from mine, which is not a version but an authorized translation, I will stake my life on what mine says.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

Makes sense. I’d be more likely to trust English translations if they weren’t brought about by people who were not only translating the texts, but were simultaneously disagreeing with established doctrine. Tyndale wanted the King to be the head of the church. Until he then disagreed with the king. Heresy is so much more than being about “version.” It’s going against core, long-established beliefs. These people are cloaked as “spirit filled men” being given divine guidance in their translations. If it’s truly just a translation of language, literal, no inspiration would be necessary. However, if you were rewriting something, you might need justification. IE: the Holy Spirit told me.
Your point is well taken, but I think you’re missing the point.
These men were not simply translating. They were standing in defiance of their church’s teachings. Whomever the leader, it seems, they took issue with them. Giving authority to a rewritten book (with books REMOVED from it.)
This guy is not correct. He sites got answers which is a ministry run by a fundamentalist minister who has the final say on anything published. This kid cites that site as fact.😮 The site has been observed as being xenophobic.

There has always been false teachers and false doctrine, but as we approach these last day events, I see where the true teaching of God’s word and truth is being replaced with teaching to tickle the listeners ear🥹 This is not only sad but very dangerous! My personal advice, to anyone who wants Christ in his/her life, is to first read the ENTIRE Bible, from start to finish, at least one time. Then pray about which church would be the right one. Being part of a church is entering into a relationship with that church. It needs to be taken seriously. We all make mistakes, but first and foremost, know the Bible before jumping into church culture. I speak from experience.

I don't go to church but go to Bible study and read the Bible for myself so I can know what it says. Do I want God to bless me? Honestly yes I would love it. But then again if I had millions of dollars I'd buy the house of my dreams and have my dream cars. I'd buy food for the homeless and make sure they have a place to stay pay for them to stay at a hotel.
Back in 2012 I would go and feed the homeless. Speaking with them some chose to be homeless and others didn't have a choice.
I would much rather be wise and righteous in God's eyes more than money. But God has blessed me by allowing me to have a roof over my head and food to eat and a awesome car to drive
Point being God has already blessed his people but some people take things for granted.

God gifted to His church pastors and teachers to “unfold” the scriptures to us, teach us, and equip us. We NEED these gifts. But some “churches” don’t want strong, solid meat, rather just want their ears tickled and their selfish flesh fed and their egos stroked. These days, one truly must research a church and its leaders, see how they value the Bible or not, and EACH BELIEVER is responsible to walk with God faithfully, diligently, to study the Word on his/her own, and be a good Berean. You and I are PERSONALLY responsible to study, pray, discern, seek BIBLICAL AND FAITHFUL churches, counselors, and friends… but it is also clear in Scripture that we are not to isolate by “forsaking the assembling of ourselves together” with other true, Bible-preaching-and-believing Christians.
We are living in “perilous times,” many are falling away, being deceived, and grievous apostasy is on the increase - in “the church”. We must be increasingly humbling ourselves, searching the scriptures, obeying all that we’ve been given, repenting quickly and sincerely when we fall short… and rejoicing hugely that we have a Savior whose mercies are new every morning, and to whose throne we can constantly come with deep assurance, that we receive His grace and mercy in our constant times of utter, deepest need. God bless you, dear saints - be strong and bold in Jesus Christ and His Word - “faithful is HE WHO CALLS YOU, who also will do it!
In his love from 70-y.o. Grandmother. Also thank you dear young Matthew - God bless and strengthen you!

Absolutely 💯 TRUTH. I tell people to stay away from church and let the Holy Spirit teach you BEFORE you listen to others. The rapture is false also. Jesus told us an inconvenient truth Mark 13: 9-12, Luke 12:9-12, Joel 2: 28,29. He's going to use us as willing vessels so others will believe. People are running to false doctrine because they don't believe God can deliver them just like he did Daniel, Shadrach Meshach Abednego, the Israelites at the Red Sea, Paul in prison. Jesus Christ prayed John 17:15, Proverbs 10:30 Psalm 37:9-11, 34-36, psalm 91:7,8. We remain on earth, and when God pours out his wrath...it's on the wicked not the righteous. I so often question my purpose here. I feel like I'm not living the Gospel. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died, was buried, and resurrected on the third day. I often feel that I'm not enough. I find myself weeping so hard over my sin. It really strikes and convicts me. I would always ask, "How do I know I'm a true Christian?" I explain that I mourn over my sin and dwell on it and they say "If you weren't a real Christian, you wouldn't be so broken." I'm trying. I have trouble forgiving myself. I've always hated my life with cerebral palsy which limits me in so many ways. I'm not strong. I can't do many other physical tasks. I tell myself that I don't make sense to anyone mentally. How could I put this into song? So many thoughts and feelings are in this. How do I forgive myself? How do I forgive myself before God? How do I seek forgiveness from God from telling him how much I loathe this earthly body? I often say, "Lord, all I can offer are songs to sing back to Him as prayers.” It doesn’t feel enough for forgiveness.

One warning sign that there might be a problem with a church's teaching is if hardly anyone has an open BIble and the preacher or teacher does not ask people to open their Bibles and follow along. If it's just a passage taken out of context, from who knows which translation, that might be a sign that. It is not always a guarantee of Biblical doctrine being taught, but if you don't see anyone with an open Bible (not a paraphrase but an actual translation) that should be a red flag and raise some questions. Paul praised the Bereans as more noble than the Thessalonians because they daily searched the Scriptures (Tanakh - Torah, Prophets, and Writings) to see if what he was telling them was true.

In the book of Proverbs, we are reminded to NOT rely on our own understanding, but acknowledge God in all our ways. We started to know Christ in Sunday school, where we sang praises to God and Jesus and the popular song "Jesus loves me ".Why?? I believe it's because everyone once started as baby Christians, and must be fed as babies first to get the gradual nutrition to grow spiritually to eat the " steak" kind of challenges. That is how I grew in faith as well that I got the strength from readings such as "Stream in the desert" and "My utmost for His highest'. Sermons in those churches mostly are inviting new believers, so hopefully, you got the context there. Moreover, we should not be quick to judge. A tree is known by its fruits. You can check the credentials and what kinds of trials they had overcome that put them in those positions. Furthermore, look at the mission works they accomplished. Reaching out to Africa and Indonesia is not every church' will to do. In one gathering in Indonesia, Joyce Meyer's event was attended by approximately 10,000 people in 2013. I encourage you to preach the message for the more mature Christians in your ministry, Matt. I believe many will be blessed, just like myself. Thank you for everything you do and God bless you 🙏🏻🎉

"Cultivating" anything is a bad sign (This is Buddhist terminology. We don't cultivate anything. God does)... and never sign any pledges or agreements (not even God asks you to promise... as matter of fact, he forbids it). Also... if they make a big deal out of the vetting process for membership... it's a bad sign because they're probably looking to see who is most malleable. The Holy Spirit deals with these matters as they come about, and in a good Biblical church, the members themselves hold each other accountable and if a problematic member is found, it is dealt with in due time over the natural revelation of an individual's character and not by authoritarian gatekeepers.

Discipleship is the missing half of the great commission. Think of a discipleship course based on the subjects that the Bible itself would call 'foundational,' 'elementary,' 'the first thing I taught you,' or similar wording. Choose those subjects, and start by looking at how they talk about Jesus. Don't worry about anything else until you see this. Then teach it as something that is true of Him, which becomes true of us through abiding in Him. The words 'in Christ Jesus' should be the core of our theology. But there is something even more basic for that new believer: he needs to read his Bible on his own. People can make mistakes in their lessons, so he must have a source that is uncorruptible. If he will read the Bible in the same way, 'How does this show me Jesus?'' - how can our hearts not sing with joy over him?

A separate thought. To put my finger on it: in the mid 1950's, the church was in the doldrums and attendance was failing. But while men slept, an enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. Psychology began to make great inroads into the pulpit. Vast in it's scope, and progressively cloaked in Christian-sounding terminology by willing ministers, it helped men become lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God, while still retaining a form of godliness. Psychology is at the root of so much of the church's woes today. In all the woeful faults you've described in this video, have they not risen in deference to psychology in the church? And at it's worst: Iniquities, generational curses, deliverance -- are they really anything more than psychology dressed in sheep's clothing?

      Lordships salvation is 100% biblical.
We are saved by grace alone through faith alone. When we exercise this saving faith, we are born again. When we are born again, a transformation takes place in us. This isn’t sinless perfection, but rather, it’s a change of affection. Works are not that means by which we are saved, but believers are transformed.

I am curious how many times a person has to repend of how many sins before he can be saved.

@@okiedean1112 Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law (set us free from the bondage). If you try to keep any part of the law then you are fallen from grace and Jesus.
IN OTHER WORDS IT'S ALL JESUS AND NOTHING ELSE. YOU CAN'T HAVE JESUS AND ALSO TRY TO KEEP THE LAW. THAT'S WHAT PAUL WAS TELLING THE GALATIANS.

@@mountuplikeaneagleIt's those whom think they can live by the law that are cursed, but that doesn't mean that we are to forget his commandments if this was so we could sin all week long and ask for forgiveness on the sabbath wait the law dosen't apply sounds convaluted to me? you are confused of like confrontation. Christ came into the world not to condemn us but through him we might be saved. He changed not one jot/ tithel of the law.

OH LOOK ONE OF SATAN'S CHILDREN SHOWED UP TO COMMENT.
THE FOOL HAS SAID IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD.
      TO ALL ATHEISTS:
I'm sorry for you. You have nowhere to stand, only shifting sand. You are lost with no direction and no hope at all. You are in a terrible place of faithlessness. You have no idea who The Lord of Glory is, even though he will be your judge. If you were living in the days Jesus walked the earth you could rightly say "There is the word of God manifest in the flesh. He came unto his own(Jews) but they received him not, but to as many as received him he gave them power to become the sons of God.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.:
The Word Made His Dwelling among Us. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
You like all mankind you have two choices,
      1. YOU CAN CHOOSE LIFE(THE LORD OF GLORY, JESUS WHO BLED AND DIED FOR YOU ( THE WORD OF GOD IN THE FLESH) AND LIVE IN PARADISE FOREVER WITH HIM.
      2. YOU CAN CHOOSE DEATH IN YOUR SELF-CENTERED ARROGANCE
AND DIE AND GO TO HELL WHERE YOU WILL BE IN TORMENT FOR OVER A THOUSAND YEARS THEN YOU WILL BE JUDGED BY GOD AND BECAUSE YOU REJECTED JESUS THE GLORIOUS SAVIOR, THE HOLY ANGELS WILL THROW YOU INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE WHERE YOU WILL BURN CONTINUALLY FOREVER WITHOUT END IN THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY ANGELS.
