It's important to make sure that sanctuary cities take on the burden of housing, clothing and caring for illegal immigrants and only sanctuary cities.
True, California is a Sanctuary State. Their Politicans wanted this and the Majority voted for it. Texas is Not a Sanctuary State. California gets Federal funding that a Non Sanctuary State Does Not

I think the entire situation is a mess, on both sides of the aisle. No one has a viable solution. If you think building a wall will work, you clearly don't understand how wide the border is or varying the terrain is. This isn't like a 1 to 2 mile border like gaza and egypt, it's 1254 miles. Even if you build a wall, you can't retain enough border patrol to effectively patrol 1254 miles without hiring 15,000 to 25,000 agents, and who will pay for that? You and me, the middle class will because republicans will never dare raise a dollar of taxes on the rich.

being a sanctuary city doesn't mean that we welcome immigrants. It just means that we try to make an environment where illegal immigrants are comfortable around the police. So the city of San Francisco will issue an ID that is only valid in SF to illegal immigrants and if an illegal immigrant witnesses a violent crime we want them to know if they report it to the police that the police will be chill with their special SF issued ID and their immigration status will not be questioned.

I grew up in southern California. It is not a dumping ground. It's so full of illegals and homeless families bc no one can afford to pay the rent. A one bedroom crap apartment where my mother lives in Lancaster,Ca.,which is in the desert,about an hour north of LA, is $1,700 at the very least. Why Gavin N. My family has lived in San Francisco five generations. And we have personally got to see what opening up and turning the city of San Francisco into a sanctuary city has done to our city from first hand experience..

The skyrocketing monetary tax on the social services have pushed the city to near bankruptcy . Causing the city to exponentially raise taxes on everybody, and every business to support the program..
For criminals they literally have a kitchen release program to the point where the police don’t even want to do the paperwork on non-documented workers because they know they’re just going to be re-release the next day so the police prefer not to respond or not to do the work .

Texas is only paying for the bus ride while sanctuary cities are paying for the food, shelter, medical expenses which can cost billions. I think Gov. Abbott is smart.

Basements sub basements.. were one single flat the living room is divided up into three small wall sections off so you basically could turn a three bedroom into a 10 bedroom getting 10 people on one flat sharing kitchen and bathroom.
In San Francisco there’s many converted over garages that will sleep anywhere from 6 to to 10 people . To split up and reduce the rent..

I’m in Texas. The state government is actually paying for buses to take immigrants to LA and San Francisco. It’s a lot cheaper than going through the system w/ court hearings to deport someone. The idea is to make it someone else’s problem.

The incentivize the demand for these immigrants to get on a free flight or free bus ride to get to California. It saves the Texas government money and makes in California’s problem.

California voted for Biden and wants his plan on immigration. Well, SF and LA, you get the byproducts of all that comes with it. you can't just expect border states, who voted against the immigration policies to then take on the responsibilities...if you voted for it, you should take care of all of it.
All of California did NOT vote for Biden. Califiornia is a border state genius and it sure the hell doesn't need any more illegals. Its definitely got way more than it's fair share . Way more than anyone else except possibly Texas and that's it.

As a Californian I can say for the fact California is handling it way more better and efficiently than Texas that wasted over two year as of no migration due to title 42. I have no problem criticizing other cities like Chicago and new york city for doing things last minute, but Texas for being another border state like California is just lousy at handling things themselves. Texas have multiple border entry and wider area that disperse the migrants to multiple location where California has one major border crossing in San Diego and yet san diego ain't having a bad problem than el paso. In fact I heard two major complaints at our border since it reopen which was the busing issue in San Diego when it first open, and the fact that other states shipped them to random locations without using the very convenient system California made to take in other states migrant to lighten the load. Also incase your one of the people saying what about concentrating on homeless, and I can say we have been doing that with 60,000 housed in temp or permanent housing last year, and programs like care court taking affect in some counties this year and the rest next year, etc. Also for those saying Biden border policy is open border just letting you know that if there was a comparison between trump and Biden that one area they are almost to the T the same. Minus the caging people and separating families it the exact same policies.

Like janitorial, housekeeping, farmland picking, etc. Things that no self-respecting WHITE person would want as a job right?
