Major cities like New York, Denver, and Chicago are finding themselves under extreme financial pressure, exacerbated by the lack of federal funding or assistance. Texas next Florida gained the most population in the last 2 years. We get people who moved here daily escaping communist states of California, New York, and new Jersey. Lately we got a lot of people moving here from Louisiana and Florida more than ever.

I immigrated to the US 10 years ago, i went through all the hoops, paper work, tests and paid the price to apply. Your government wanted to verify I was going to support myself and contribute to the economy. I work hard, pay taxes, bought a home and own 2 cars and live the American dream. Now these people just come in and have everything handed to them. Its very frustrating for me especially

I think everyone in America wants to know why is this happening? I was working full time. Ended up homeless and didn't get any assistance from the state to get into a place or a hotel. I had to pay out of pocket. I was told all of the programs were out of funding. Where did all these billions come from??... I work , I pay taxes. Why didn't I get any help? I was born here........

@@willpower-rc1wq it is estimated to cost roughly 11 billion annually, so I’m not sure about just housing, but this amount could have fronted 6 years of no homelessness. It’s also important to note that they give several dozen billion dollars a year in foreign aid, this year total was 84 billion I think. This is annually. This means we can focus on homelessness and student debt, and STILL have money leftover to improve from the inside out.
This is getting ridiculous . My wife came here from Mexico legally and it is very difficult for us to try to get her a residency. We’ve spent over $5000 just in legal fees. Not to mention the fees for filing. All so they can end up denying us because of all this going on.

I got an MA and PhD degree from a top University in the US and work for a Fortune 500 company in research and development. I will be sent home in December due to very limited number of work visas available each year. In the meantime people get employment authorizations for illegally crossing the border.

I don’t agree with what’s happening at the border right now but it’s kind of an apples to oranges comparison. These people will end up working low paying manual jobs most Americans don’t want like landscaping, cleaning, restaurant work, working on farms picking fruits & vegetables, etc. You work in a high paying job for a big company, which Americans want. Of course they will limit the number of foreigners who can do highly skilled work so more Americans can have those jobs.
@@luthen4464 my job requires a PhD and historically very few Americans have applied for the position I currently occupy. Last time my department had an opening no American applied. There are zero Americans in my department right now. In my PhD class of 19, only 4 were Americans, of which two have failed a requirement and were dismissed from the program. Wanting a job doesn't mean you can get it if you don't have the qualifications.

My great-great-grandfather arrived at Ellis Island as an 13 year old orphan in 1913 who stowed away on a ship. He was sent back to Europe because he didn't have sufficient money to be allowed in the US. He had to return to Europe and earn enough money to be allowed in. Why exactly was the standard different then? He was told as a 13 year old orphan, he would be a burden to society so he wasn't allowed in the US. Every one of these illegal immigrants are the same burden to society as he was.

The federal government has no control over homeless funding. Funding for homelessness is allocated ultimately at the local and state level, where it is overwhelmingly Republican lawmakers who call people living on the streets lazy or drug addicted in order to vote down assistance.

I probably missed something when the US started giving healthcare for free! Why do I still need to pay for my health insurance? Do I need to have a driver or a motocycle license when illegals do not need them to drive around? Can I commit small crimes with police not paying attention? Do I still need to pay taxes on my income?
CA just announced free healthcare for residents REGARDLESS of citizenship status (they are also allowing illegals to vote in local elections and DO NOT ask for ID at in-person voting facilities.
You won't need to pay home or auto insurance, school, food, rent or mortgage either.

Medicaid has been a thing in the US for like 50 years. It covers something like 80 million Americans. What is covered I believe can vary state to state but generally speaking poor and low income people who qualify pay nothing for medical care.

I came to U.S. legally and it cost me thousands in legal fees and years to get my green card followed by citizenship. Politicians should work on implementing merit system, similar to Canadian. You get points for age (20s is the best), education, language abilities, work skills, available savings, etc. If you qualify, you get in and contribute to society by paying taxes and not being a burden. As for illegal immigration... We should close down the border, put national guard and/or army along the border to prevent ANY illegal immigration, with use of force if necessary. It would stop a lot of drug trafficking and human trafficking, too. You want to ask for asylum? Do so abroad, every U.S. embassy should be capable of accepting your documents and you wait while your case is resolved.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me, I never tolerated anyone cutting in front of me in the lunch line at school, it was a ridiculously long line, and I'm sure there were several optimizations that could have been made to make it shorter. Some people decided to try and cut in line, and instead they got tossed to the very back by the time that they reached the door, the line having just about doubled in that time. That's what we need to do, or outright ban them for life.
