    This man has to be You Tube's 'Master Ring Guru'. I am in my 60s and not overweight but I still watched this out of a sense of 'duty'. The restrained video releases by Tao are enough to keep me inspired, without the information-overload of most other fitness training channels. Although very late to training with gymnastic rings, for me it has truly been life-changing and I relish every minute of every session!

    Consistency, consistency and then more consistency. In your training, in your diet and in your rest. Infact; don't think of it as training as much as a lifestyle. Something long-term. Do this and you will succeed...

    Hola Tao! I've been watching your videos for a good while and I even bought some rings to change the way I do calisthenics. For the past two weeks, I've been training on doing dips with just my body weight and two days ago, I finally managed to do ring dips for the first time! (Managed to do 15 reps in total!) I couldn't have done this without your help! Many thanks, keep up the good work!

    I started calisthenics with a BMI of 29 1,5 years ago. As a 50 year old who had never exercised or worked out, I hardly did one push up on my first day. Today I can do 25 push ups in a row with perfect form and I'm progressing through the harder variations. As for BMI it is still the same but I don't care about the diet. I'm just focusing on getting stronger and stronger, which in turn results in an athletic body (maybe taking longer though).

I am going to start with modified push ups, squats, resistance band rows, step ups, marching in place and other exercises I can do right now until I lose weight and maybe a couple years from now, I can start doing advanced Calisthenics exercises. I wouldn’t dare try a Pull-up right now. Lol Peace and love 🤣🤣🤣

I started to train bodybuilding with dumbbells at home for a few months, but saw no difference in my appearance or strength because I was still loosing weight. Your question is valid. And yes as a woman you can do the steps mentioned in the video without fear of building too much muscle
      if you feel you’re gaining too much muscle you can make your workouts easier and not push progression too much
      But honestly as long as you don’t take roids you can still look very feminine and healthy while training

      It's okay, rings are only 25$, on top of this. You're not going to be able to do pullups without some equipment. And you're going to NEED to do pullups to progress in calisthenics. Also don't parks have rings and dip bars? No?

    • @bambostarla6259
      @bambostarla6259 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rings cost 40-50% tops and can replace a home gym. Unless you want to train legs, but if you focus more on calisthenics you probably wont want to maximise leg hypertrophy anyway

    Tao. Love your content. You got me inspired to start calisthenics about 6 months ago. I've made some good progress and I'm feeling great for the first time in a long time. I have a question tho. Does it matter when I get the exercises done during the day, as long as they get done? I mean like 2 sets in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 2 at night. Is the stimulus the same for muscle growth or is it optimal to do all sets in a row?

    • @Taophysique
      @Taophysique  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      He didn't say anything about being in the single digits BF% in this video tho? He said 15% or less if you want to be good at calisthenics. It's true, the leaner you are the easier calisthenics becomes.

    • @bambostarla6259
      @bambostarla6259 ปีที่แล้ว

      When it comes to weightlifting 15% is the best way to go, especially if you want to maximise muscle growth, but for calisthenics, the leaner you are the better you can perform. Most calisthenics bros stay at around the 10-11% for this reason.

    “healthy” food has nothing to do with weight loss. You can loose weight on a diet of Doritos and Twinkie’s (obviously it’s better to eat healthy) but for a lot of people the only way they succeed is if they can still feed their cravings at least for the time being.
