Considering Fromsoft up their bosses difficulty in DLCs im curious to see the difficulty complaints when people already complain about numerous base game bosses in Elden Ring.
Really hope they start nerfing shit too fast again, i got upset when they nerfed radahn when the game wasnt even out a month yet, i was literally on my way to his castle when the patch struck
Elden Ring is my first fromsoftware game that I am playing fully through. So far I’m about 50% through (I think) and it seems that you can choose the difficulty for bosses in this game depending on how much you farm runes in smaller dungeons. For example, I was having trouble with Margit, so I leveled up a bit killing bosses in dungeons and it was much easier when I came back to fight him. Now I’m on Astel, hit a brick wall so I’m roaming the lands between to level up some more. I assume the DLC will have the same concept
@@bobsag1164 Ahh if your new then welcome to the drama with no common sense that's about to ensue with this DLC 🤣 You're about to see how hardcore players who play nothing but Fromsoft will shout git gud at casuals who struggle and don't have the time input. You'll see regular players that want clout but aren't that great at the game so will complain the hardest bosses are too hard...mainly because they're too prideful to not enter the fight as a melee build, no consumables, no summons and underlevelled because "That's how you play properly". You'll see common sense players like yourself who'll use all the tools avaliable like levelling, consumables, summons etc, tell people it's fine with those tools but get ridiculed by the above people for "playing it wrong". Then you'll have the super casuals and low skill players who'll complain it's way too hard because they are generally unskilled but also don't put any time in the game to get skilled. Welcome to the Fromsoft community 😆
@@bobsag1164 That is the concept that seems to escape some. This is the first "souls like" that I feel like I have a shot at every fight, you up the power of your weapon and try to avoid getting hit. Some people are good enough to win fights because they avoid the hits, some people need to upgrade themselves and weapons to do enough damage and survive the hits.
@@SpecLeader101 lmao imagine if the boss has a counter for stuff like comet azur and spirit summons, that would be the funniest "fuck you personally" ever
You have to have a really strong base game for a 5h dlc to work. Whats funnt they have a really strong base game and still add a huge DLC. That's really respectable and I'm glad I haven't even finished Elden ring so I know I'll have a shit ton of story and content left t9 discover + the dlc Hell yeah
i usually dont get hyped for trailers. but after 1000+ hours into ER, i know what this trailer brings to the game. i bet its almost a whole new game. close to 30-40 hours of content with multiple areas. itll be really good
Let's not forget stellar blade. The first NieR inspired game. That alone to me makes it more important than anything else coming out this year. Imagine the NieR series gets an equivalent to the "souls-like" genre. NieR-esque
Messmer the impaler, his epithet "the Impaler" implies he's actually related to the Impaler's Catacombs in Weeping Peninsula. His eyes and casting imply he's a Dragon Communion seeker - he has draconic eyes and he uses the Dragon Seal if you look closely. The snake has little dragon wings sprouting from it. That's what it looks like atleast.
Technically it had one already, the Colosseum, but it was really just a free update. Still, it was officially described as DLC 1. But I get what you mean. Base-game Elden Ring already feels like a regular game with multiple expansions installed
dude he looks so sick and menacing. also very interested to see more about whoever is under the cloak. so far, this is for sure a boss im looking forward to the most
Can't wait to see what fcked up boss they made this time, considering their history with DLC bosses and Malenia already being such a pain in the base game💀
Just hope the boss is well designed. Midir from Dark souls 3 is an example of perfect boss design. It's rage inducing at first then you realized his movesets has patterns that you could just move slightly and dodge everything. Midir was so good they copy pasted his moveset in elden ring lol
This will be the best dlc from any game of any genre ever . Make my words . Fighting cowboy predicted the entrance to the dlc when the game came out . Credit to him
Woah woah now. Not just him, me and my friend talked about the dlc long before erdtree was announced and based on lore alone I knew we would enter via miquella. Miyazaki has thing for this stuff
This being a dlc and not a full game is nice, It looks like a full game. They really want you to play the first game before this, so that's why it requires the base game. (I don't remember if they stated it's going to be a dlc or a full game)
If the company is tried and true and has been shown to consistently put out great, finished content like Fromsoftware I’d say the pre order rule is ok to break.
i cant help feeling like this trailer, kinda like the game, is a masterclass in how its done. so much to digest, so much information given BUT SO MANY QUESTIONS UNANSWERED. Absolutely hyped beyond belief.
could you imagine them make a dlc based on each ending that branches of into new games that are now direct spin offs that are tied together but only at the final tree event part
@@Snxgurbro what? The dlc has the best bosses in the game, it has the best weapons in the game, and the map layout is multilayered and the biomes diverse and interesting. The music also smacks.

@@Snxgur you're pulling my chain. Aint no way you think needle knight, Mesmer, rennala and midra had no character. And I actually liked radahn. The fight was tight asf and to say he was recycle is pretty silly. He's a character from the base game, but the fight is no where near the same and it fits in with the lore. They gave us Radahn in his full glory, something the player base was wishing for
Ah, so glad I didn't buy Elden Ring. Now I can wait until they bundle the DLC with the base game at a discounted price, and enjoy 200-300+ hours of content as a fresh new player. I'll experience it all in one go. Should make it all the more EPIC.
@@oldsoulbiz3526 Even the DLCs for Dark Souls 3 that only cost that much were relatively massive. Miyazaki must've *cooked* for them to ask for this much money
Honestly the lion dancer gives me the vibes of midgame boss that isn't too important to the overall story or lore, but you know for a fact its gonna end up being on of the most popular bosses, something about its design and movements looks like its gonna be so damn good.
2:53 This is most likely Miquela, since he has been described as a frail ever young boy with long golden hair. Though they could pull a Radagon and the boss be some other thing inside Miquela, or it's like the Namless King, a sibling that has been banished and erased from history jusdging by his hair color he could be related to some degree.
I don't know why but the lion boss attacks 1 on 1 reminded me of Hakamori no Wethermon "the Tombguard" from the anime series "Shangri-La Frontier". You can see a similar skill called "thunder clap" at 1:33 and also a similar skill "Nimbus Fist" at 1:30 from the episode 17 dunno if they took it from the anime series but yeah just pointing that out
Ok, but they still need to buff spells. Cast too slow, no hyper armor, spell requirements so low strength build use them, too easy to dodge, finite resources, no way of defending yourself at close range unless you're also speced for strength/dex and use a giant goofy weapon which also takes away from your main stat investments, etc. Like, please. I'm not just a grumpy mage. I've played all builds, and im good with them. My magic build have soft cap vigor and soft cap INT, and its the most difficult thing, trying to deal with anyone who has more than one brain cell, that knows how to pressure. Honestly, the ranged ashes of war are broken compared to the mass majority of spells. Magic needs to be reworked entirely, and made viable for 1v1 situations, and the requirements need to be boosted so its actually unique to magic.
Note: I am actually begging you all, because I don't want people to get bored of the game and leave; we HAVE to drop the bias towards mages. They aren't OP because of their spells. They're OP when they're practically a physical build with big weapons, who use magic for utility.

@@GreatRaijinthey accidentally nerfed him by a bug… after fixing a bug, so then they had to re buff him by fix that new bug lol
@@bobsag1164 Ahh if your new then welcome to the drama with no common sense that's about to ensue with this DLC 🤣
You're about to see how hardcore players who play nothing but Fromsoft will shout git gud at casuals who struggle and don't have the time input.

Elden Ring on its way to casually pick up another GOTY trophy:
DLC Expansion. its pretty rare for games doing this. most AAA games just add 5 hr of content for 30$.
You have to have a really strong base game for a 5h dlc to work. Whats funnt they have a really strong base game and still add a huge DLC. That's really respectable and I'm glad I haven't even finished Elden ring so I know I'll have a shit ton of story and content left t9 discover + the dlc
Hell yeah
i usually dont get hyped for trailers. but after 1000+ hours into ER, i know what this trailer brings to the game. i bet its almost a whole new game. close to 30-40 hours of content with multiple areas. itll be really good
Helldivers 2, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Elden Ring DLC… this year is going to be goooood
Let's not forget stellar blade.
The first NieR inspired game.
That alone to me makes it more important than anything else coming out this year.
Imagine the NieR series gets an equivalent to the "souls-like" genre. NieR-esque
Helldivers 2 would be a lot better if it wasn’t for the anticheat it uses.

The last part where the tree takes the shape if Marika's hamd reminds me of the opening of berserk.
That is very likely Miquella not Marika.
That's what it looks like atleast.

tbh elden ring felt like it had multiple DLCes already
Technically it had one already, the Colosseum, but it was really just a free update. Still, it was officially described as DLC 1.

When a company mistakenly drops an entire game as a dlc
just read an article about how Miyazaki confirmed the DLC bosses are on the same difficulty as Melenia
Yea this is a classic fromsoft thing. Alot of fans had guessed at this.
Heavily doubt it will top The Old Hunters Bloodborne DLC, and Witcher 3 DLC's still hold that crown tbh

@@Snxgur you're pulling my chain. Aint no way you think needle knight, Mesmer, rennala and midra had no character. And I actually liked radahn. Larian is up there, but it's a very short list these days.

This is most likely Miquela, since he has been described as a frail ever young boy with long golden hair.
They're OP when they're practically a physical build with big weapons, who use magic for utility.
def agree about the hyper armor bare minimum. And some cast times too.
