    I just unboxed the Leisure 410 . As a still photographer going on 20 plus years, I find doing videos of photo sets helps display my work with a faster pace without losing aesthetic value.
    First projector so I am learning on this machine and will have more questions as I go. I will plug it in to see if my battery jumper will power it and for how long .

    I think you missed the boat on the most important feature, NOISE from the cooling fan. If you can't sit in the same room, what good is it. The L3W has a brighter bulb, by %50 . The noise from that model is huge in DB I dont know, and they may not list it in the specs. Get a DB meter and let us know from 8 feet.

    Hi, great video man. I have a quick question, I'm looking for a projector that is working quietly. I heard that 510 is quite loud, how about 470? Or any other recommendations higher or lower, the best would be native 1080p but if they are all loud I would go for 720p.

    What I have found is: projector needs to have at least 3500 lumens and has a contrast ratio of 3500:1 or better, minimum specs. It needs to have wifi or Bluetooth built-in or the possibility of upgrade potential for adding external soundbar capabilities otherwise messier wiring will be entailed as the soundbar will need to be near the screen. At least two HDMI inputs and two USB inputs and audio output. Unfortunately, the higher the lumens, the shorter the lifespan of the bulb will be due to it having a higher wattage bulb and most likely noisier fan to provide adequate cooling, As for the difference between LED, LCD, or Laser, it is a matter of preference and budget. The same seems to be relevant between long throw and short-throw projection, with long-throw being the cheaper of the choices. Keep in mind, also, that the distance available between the projector and the screen will have an effect on the sharpness and focus of the picture.

      Hey Andreas, the fan noise isn't something I noticed much when having it over 5 feet away on a tripod and hooked up to speakers. However, with it on the table right in front of me, it was definitely harder to hear due to the fan noise (about 2 feet away). So it probably really depends on your setup and where you will have it!

    • @CandidTechTV
      @CandidTechTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Girardo, so this review below is from one of the Vankyo 420 reviews. The product description used to say it supports 3d shutter but they have since edited it.
      "I normally don’t write reviews but this is worthy of one! I’m new to the whole projector thing but this was so easy to set up and get going. The color is way better than I thought it would be and the sound is amazing for as small as the unit is! Definitely worth the money!!
      Update: 3D is not what they claim. The only way to watch 3D is with red and blue glasses. They admitted to me that it’s not advertised truthful. Company has Zero clue about how to even use it"

      There's definitely a difference in native 1080p (which those models are) compared to 1280x768 of the Leisure 510 but the 510 isn't bad for media though. If you want to use it for more text or for sports where the ticker at the bottom, scores, timeouts, etc are important to you, then you should notice a difference with the 1080p compared to what you're currently using. 1280x768 is perfectly fine for movies and streaming shows though in my opinion.

    Vankyo sells more newer models in USA and old outdated garbage models in Canada. Example V700 or V630W or VF630T or VF620T (Newer models) are sold only in USA and not in Canada. What a partiality service that is Vankyo ???? By this Canadian customers are forced to only buy outdated models. I didnot buy V630 for its very high fan noise. I've heard of people using 800x480 resolution models for tracing but I'm not sure in what way/I don't have any personal experience using it for that purpose. The Vankyo Leisure 3 for example can go to a 32" screen size at the smallest, from 4.9 ft away. Any closer than that and you would likely lose focus.

      The 430 came out after this video I believe but yes I would buy that over the 420 if you were considering purchasing the 420. On Amazon I see it shows 3600 lux vs 3500 lux. It will be a little bit brighter but the same resolution. The 510 would be the next jump up with native 720p resolution. If you can spend a bit more, the V600 is definitely a great option at full 1080p. I have a video coming out Tues night going over the V600/M18 projector again.

      For the most part, these prices are pretty competitive for what you get. If you look at 480p models in retail stores like Best Buy like I showed, you're likely going to pay at least 50% more. And cheaper with the same 480p resolution might mean the projector gets hotter, has less brightness, cheaper build quality, etc.

      It looks like in the US the 420 is only available used on Amazon right now but the 430 is on a lightning deal for $99! amzn.to/33WeB8d
