that Xbox board is hot. and at $50 i'll get rid of my UFB for 2 of those. One for my MK stick and one for my SF and other games stick.
My ufb looks like the one shown at 0:20 it has solder points instead of a port

No, Brook may release a similar product for their other pcbs
For the Arcadeshock Jasen's mod TE2+ brook pcb i hope there is a work around so I keep all my functionality
If the J2 port is being used, You might have to solder to the points below the board.

You can just cut / strip the wires from the connector and solder those

Will this require an update every PS5 update as well to overcome previous time outs that would happen? I guess we won't know until then. lol. Curious if Brook is anticipating this.
Yeah only time will tell at this point.. but now it has the hardware to handle the encryption.
@@jonyfraze Is this speculation or do you know for a fact that a new encryption scheme is the reason the old version couldn't just get a firmware update? What ICs does the upgrade board have?
I worked with brook early on when the ps5 first released. We tried multiple firmware upgrades, it would bypass the “incompatible controller” warning but after 8 minutes it would time out. After several attempts their engineers realized a hardware solution was needed.
Anyone know if a new update / release date has come up yet? Really want one of these to use my stick for Strive!!!

Disappointing that they still haven't released an updated board for current gen consoles, it's been over a year since the consoles came out.
Will there be a native PS5 version of the board itself though? Instad of just the extension? I've got limited space to work with here... :p Thank God it's a small chip though. I do appreciate the effort they're putting in. They're still pretty niche products, the UFBs but they do keep up to date fairly quickly tbh!

They are they're just slow as fuck. Ordered the MPress from them at the start of the year and got no updates on it until it just showed up like four months later. Didn't even get an email saying it was shipped. Annoying.

@@grokslamTCG well, as long as I get it, but the reason I bought it from them was timing, I cancelled a case from Asia because it was going to take long, so I paid extra to Paradise arcade thinking I was going to get it sooner since it is a present. but I guess will be a late present now, next time I'm getting everything from Asia since the timing will be the same and probably will save a little bit of money, I paid 120 dollars for the same case I was going to get from Asia for 87 dollars. it is what is, you live you learn.

Is there a way to add LEDs to the PCB if the 5v VDD wiring socket is already taken up by something else? I got the PS5 upgrade component but now it doesn't leave room for the LEDs. If so, could you possibly do a tutorial on this certain scenario?

How is the input lag on the Xbox Board compared to the UFB? Just need a low input lag pcb for PC that’s cheaper than UFB.
I couldn’t tell the difference at all, also if its just for PC skip this and get the Brook Zero-Pi instead

I'm sorry i bought a mpress with led and everything works but the LED won't light up. Do you have any idea why it mite not work 😭. I keep emailing him and he keeps telling me to rest it and if you can get me pointed in the right direction i can problem shoot it myself
Sorry I’m not familiar with the mpress’s internals but LEDs typically need to be connected to the 5V portion of the PCB. Good luck.

Any information on the PS4+audio UFB?, i bought 2 of these and updated them both and neither is working, still says this controller cannot be used for PS5 games. Any ideas?
No info yet. Brook mentioned in the past they may develop an upgrade for the other boards but it was not confirmed.

Hi Jony. Wanted to see if I could get your input on an issue. I just installed this up5 with the regular ufb on a hori fighting edge 2017 (brush metal one). It was working just fine but then, it kept turning off on me. I have to replug it back into in order for it to function, but it turns off again. Now, I am still using the USB cord that came with the fighting edge. I also have a Bluetooth dongle on one of the other USB ports in the ps5 for my wireless headset. And finally, I have updated to the latest firmware twice. Could this be a voltage issue? And should I replace the fighting edge USB cord with a USB A-B cord? Your input would be gladly appreciated.
It definitely could be power related. Sounds like a lot is going on. Re-check the wiring and eliminate all non essential things.
@@jonyfraze Thanks for the reply. I went in and rewired everything, and replaced the stock USB with a USB a-b and still get random disconnects on the PS5. I also took out the Bluetooth dongle, no luck. I know its definitely the UP5 I got because I hooked up my stick to the PC, and didn't get a single disconnect.
When I bought Brook Universal and installed it for the first time, I just plugged it into the PC and it was instantly recognised. I went to put it in another box, now it only connects to the PC if I turn it on by holding the 2P ( ps4 ) or 3P ( xbox ) button. Could it go back to how it was before? Connect without holding the buttons first? I've updated but it didn't work.
Delete the UFB in device manager and re-plug in the device.
I have a Quanba EZ mod and the 5 pin slot is already being used. RIP

Some do, but Brook’s PS4 products only work with PS4 games on the PS5.
Officially licensed arcade sticks will work natively with PS5 games. Brook isn't officially licensed.
Not all actually. Qanba, Victrix, Razer are safe bets.

my mayflash PS4 controller worked perfectly well with the strive DISC edition... on PS5 which sadly shows your test in the end is a bit bullshit.. the rest is good content
It's hit-or-miss with third party boards. Brook's boards don't work with PS5 games

I hate the "yeah you can use your PS4 controller / joystick on PS5.... for the PS4 games ONLY !! " at least I won't have to buy another joystick with the brooks add on !!
